fastboot mode and recovery mode not working

ok so my gf was on stock 2.1 .
and i wanted to put cust ROM on the phone .. i could not get into fastboot or recovery and found that i need 2.1 with fastboot kdz . so i downloaded that installed via kdz updater . and could still not get into it. so after some searching i found a clockwork rom kdz and downloaded installed that and still cant get into fastboot or recovery ..
here is what my phone is saying in about phone after clockwork kdz flash

i personally dont think either of the kdz's i flashed worked
also she is rooted

Ok first i need to know what KDZ with fastboot you flashed, second did you check that the KDZ show -- FINISHED -- after 5-10 minutes that takes the process to finish?
What are the combo buttons you're pressing for get in fastboot?
The proper way is CAMERA+POWER BUTTON ( Hold camera button for 1 sec then hold power button without put down camera button, so both buttons needs to be pressed)
The phone will boot , you'll see LG LOGO then after that you should see a dark-blue clean screen (no logo, no letters, NOTHING! just a clean screen). If you get in the mode, congratulations, you are in fastboot now!

Hi IM not on PC at the moment. But I downloaded the 2.1 with fastboot from Modaco (I think) and on the kdz it said all things like param 1-128 call ended and a few other things but noting said fail and then it said finish. I did leave it for about 5 mins after it said finish before I exited and unplugged. I also done camera power and it just boots phone normally.

ok now that you there try with the KDZ modified by Mur4ik so you get data2system method too...

Advantages: Its the lates stock 2.1 ROM released in March 2011, it has fastboot and support for recovery as well plus it has been modified for get 238MB of space for install apps.
PS: *When it get stuck at --apram 244 - 245 you done is normal (you wont see -- FINISHED --)
* the process will take 5 minutes, not even 10
* the fastboot screen is blue, more like electric blue with white letters wich is very different than the normal fastboot mode we are used to, so dont panic is normal.

get in fastboot do not let it load read carefully the thread because you need to wipe data
fastboot -w

ok got into fastboot on device (i think ) it says suspend reset port change etc .
when running fastboot.exe -w it says waiting for device ..
all drivers are installed correct

Is the screen blue with white letters?, if so then you are in fastboot.
What O/S do you have xp, windows 7, 32, 64 bits? you need to install the proper drivers for your pc recognize your phone in fastboot mode
Download Drivers for your computer recognize the phone in fastboot mode. Unzip and put the files inside the folder in C:\android-sdk (take a look of the 3th image)

i already had them installed ... i have it fixed now with cm6 2.2.1with fastboot and recovery ..... am going to update it to 2.3 rom now ...

you need to configure APN with the one of your cellphone provider in Wireles & Network settings >> Access Point Names >> press menu button >> New APN

[Q] Can "see" device in ADB, not in fastboot....

Hey guys,
Bare with me please as I am fairly new-ish to Android but have some experience with Samsungs, HTCs and the beloved LG GT540.....
I appreciate if anyone can help me on my plight.....
My girlfriend was running Cyanogen Mod for the last year or so on her device and decided that she wanted to try out a different ROM on her phone....
I wanted to install the Oxegen ROM....
Originally I was thinking it would be easy and I could put it on through Clockwork Recovery and flash the zip no problem, for some reason when I rebooted to recovery clockwork would not load up on the device.... just blank screen....
Not content with this, bored on a Sunday afternoon I gave it a couple of hours of my time and in the process messed my girlfriends phone up....
What I did was I tried flashing back to stock using the LG KDZ updater, that was fine and the phone rebooted and has since stuck on the Android logo....
According to this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078745&highlight=stuck+on+android+screen I gave all this a go and I can not get the device showing up in Fastboot, I can not enable USB debugging on it either as I can not get into the phone to tick the box....
In my cmd prompt I am seeing this :

In my device manager when my device is connected and powered on I am seeing this :
When I am connected and the device is in "download mode" my devices are like this :
I understand the steps provided in the link above and I am fairly confident I could do them if I can get the device "seen" in Fastboot....
I have installed and re-installed all the USB drivers in hope that it may be a driver issue, now I am wondering is it maybe my OS? Win7 64Bit Ultimate?
I can try it on XP netbook if thats all thats causing my issues....
I am kinda lost now and wondering have I bricked it? It will be the first phone I have if thats the case....
Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot guys....

did u go to fastboot (power+camera pressed when booting up).
well, from my experience, if i flash incorrectly (via fastboot or recovery), it will go bootloops or go to clockwork, or if i flash incorrectly via kdz, i've got stuck in LG logo or got linux kernel panic.
it seems to me u've flash kdz incorrectly. flash kdz with fastboot mode via download (or emergency mode).
try this:

and make sure u already install all LG drivers (u can Google those).
gud luck. if else fails, put a very sad and stupid face, act as u dont know anything, bring the phone to the LG representative in ur town.
idk for 64 bit version as i use 32 bit. u can try find pdanet driver, there is 64 bit driver there and it install fastboot well in PC.

Fastboot and ADB works on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I installed LG Drivers then Google USB Driver. It worked then. But I know I did struggle to finally get it working.

As I said, I think my problem lies in not being able to tick the USB debugging option on the phone as I can not boot into the phone to do so....
Is there a way to enable USB debugging over ADB?
As I said, I can "see" the phone responding to ADB, just not fastboot!
I am in the process of installing everything and starting fresh on the Xp netbook, if this fails I would say its new phone time for my g/f, Sony X8 is 80 euro on our network so if the worst comes to the worst I will get her a new one....
Much appreciated guys and if anyone has anything to the thread I will be all ears...

i think u got it wrong.

first of all, i need to ask u the question (again), can u boot to fastboot (or bootloader) when u pressed power (the reject/red phone button) and camera button altogether? the fastboot screen in the phone will be like black screen, but with a little amount of backlight (u'll notice the difference) or blue screen with texts if u flash a kdz-modified-fastboot. if u cant go to bootloader/fastboot, then u need to flash a kdz with fastboot.
u can try this: when u type adb devices, type: adb reboot bootloader
though im not sure if ur gf's phone has fastboot/bootloader (might be missing during the kdz flashing that u've done).

After nearly 3 days of pulling what hair I have left on my head out, my problem was I was mistaking Fastboot for Download mode.....
I was connecting the phone holding the volume down so it came up "download mode" now all I did was hold the camera + red button and off it went with the command from the post above....
I feel like an idiot, but im a happy idiot right now.....

LG G2 D802 stuck on gray lines

I got a new LG G2 D802 today, managed to root and I used AutoRec to install TWRP. The app said it was successful but as soon as I booted into recovery, I get this screen and it's stuck.

So when you turn it on your phone after turning off you don't see the LG screen but only the lines? or only in the recovery?

Thanks for the reply. This is all I see. The lines move about a bit then get stuck on the above screenshot. I can't get into recovery :crying:

Try entering download mode - poweroff the device -> hold volume up and connect to pc. Then try flashing your stock firmware.

Just tried that - it switched the phone on - the lines moved around again then settled into the screenshot.
Do I need the drivers installed on a PC for this to work? I tried it on a mac with Android File Transfer.

You need windows + lg flash tool 2014 + your kdz, drivers would install through the lg suite.

Unfortunately I can't get to the dialer to get my IMEI. I know they used to be under the battery but thats obviously a no no on the g2.
Regardless, I found the .kdz here http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G2/Stock/Hong+Kong+D802/
Installed the drivers, LG Flash Tool 2014, attempted to put my phone into Download mode (The phone has the grey lines in different places) but the PC still doesn't recognize the phoen when I plug it in and the flash tool cannot read the phone also.
Any other suggestions please? Thanks.

You may also try the tot method.
Can you recognize if the image behind the lines is small (centered on the screen) or a larger one ?
Because it might be that you've got blue circles, which are shown prior to entering the actual download mode..

I don't actually know if its going into download mode or not. I've taken another photo as below which shows what my phone looks like when plugged in, the lines move around like an animation to start of with then settle in this position - there isn't actually anything behind the lines. It's almost as if the screen is messed up and the pictures aren't displaying correctly. I seriously doubt it is a hardware issue as it was working just fine before using AutoRec.
Just so annoyed at myself for doing this so soon after I got it -_-

1. power off
2. hold volume up and connect to pc
3. flash kdz
________________
or just connect to pc if it doesn't boot, see if there is some device in device manager that wasn't there.

Iam facing the exact same issue right now
Phone was already soft bricked. user to get stuck at the lg logo and download modestopped working , volume + power would bring fast boot so i used adb command prompt and flashed boot,aboot and recovery files and then did a reboot and all i have are these moving gray lines

Where did you buy the phone? Some online sellers combine parts from all variants and sell refurbished phones under D802 so when you flash it bricks your phone.
Do you have IMEI on box?

Same thing happened with mine. Got it fixed for 20$ through Jtech service.
Beware people.

I have same problem here. When connect via USB, Showing in device manager as Android device. But not showing anything under COM port. I tried to flash via LG flash tool. Same thing happened with me when i use autorec, lines on the screen but the phone work normally, receive calls and messages, the touch works normally, every thing work normal but there's no screen output or colors only gray lines wuth black screen. I think it's a refurbished phone with a different board that written on the cover, and we use the wrong autorec according to the board.
I don't know how to fix it. Any help ?

Help me , Im stuck on the boot ( cant access the recovery , just a white usb logo)

Guys, my zen5 stucking now, last night i just delete the /system chrome, and remove it with the new one app from /data (this is Link2sd stuff)
and i intergrate to system app (that chrome).
at the morning, i was trying to open my chrome, but error, so i restart my phone.
and... the problem is appear..
my screen is stuck (until right now) on the boot
i tried to re-flash with same ROM (OTA) by ADB , but not succeeded because i forgot to turn on my USB Debugging.
i tried to access Recovery mode, but there's only a dead android with a red triangle. (sometimes changing to USB White logo)
oh ya, the one thing that i can access is Fastboot only
What can I do ?

i dont think that usb debugging will create any problem coz in the above tutorial we are using fastboot commands rather than adb commands..

My lastest Rom is Lollipop ( i still keep the rom on my PC, so i use it rather than the kitkat)
and i guess.. now Im stuck at the step number 8.

THERE WAS A REASON WHY TOLD YOU TO FLASH KITKAT.................
force switch of phone and try booting by power and vol up key.....and give me a video of what u are seeing.........

well.. that's all my assumed... i thought i could use the lolli's version...
why im use boot.img ? because there's no fastboot.img when i entered that one.. just "error" , so I (again) assumed that "ohh maybe you missed type there"
my phone now unable to access the Power + Vol UP it will automatically booting screen.. , just the Power + Vol Down. but its image is a dead android with a triangle sign..

i told you that earlier......" there is a reason why i used kitkat" ,.,,,,,thats coz lollipop has droidboot.img and kitkat has fastboot.img.
if u had used kitkat on extracting it will be having fastboot.img
well unfortunately ,ur phone is hard bricked,the zentalk website i gave you is the only way...other than that you can send a message to dgadhela(see cm13 for zf5),,he is developer of the cm13 rom and some days back i read one of his post where he told how to solve no bootloader issue,i'm unable to find that post.....

What is going on? Yesterday it was working.....
I can't flash stock .kdz from recovery, because it doesn't work.
I heard about flash using .tot method, but I can't find any .tot file for L Fino.
What should I do now?

3)If sdcard ram dump enabled just wait for reboot
4)Collect ramdump files from your pc or sdcard)

Yes friend,i have twrp because im try to use all of this solution and nothing happend.
I think this is problem with emmc chip "maybe"...

I created the zip for myself, because my download mode didn't work.
After flashing, TWRP will crash.
Then you simply have to enter the download mode and flash a kdz.
BUT I'm not sure if this is going to work.

Sorry for long absence, I had no time.. But now I have it, so I want to repair this phone and...
now my Fino doesn't power on... I tried:
1) Power On normally using Power Button
2) Go to Download Mode
3) Remove battery and go to Download Mode
Nothing works..
But when I plug it to computer everytime I hear that Windows sound and in Device Manager I see:
But the screen is still off...
When trying to flash using TOT Method I see:
What to do now?

Yes. Recovery doesn't work, I can't boot to recovery, I can't even boot to Android and the screen is all time black.

Maybe you have to do the last step from this tutorial.
Sry that I can't really help you, but I gave my old L Fino to my mom like a month ago.

Did you try to boot in download mode and flash kdz ? It's the last step from the tutorial.

I own an LG D290n . I had to do a factory restore via buttons after a Google update bug. It was crashing some Google service and couldn't do anything to fix it. Strangely neither factory restore worked giving me the same exactly error. I finally downloaded the latest Rom I could find I think it was 4.4.2. I pushed it using official Lg Utility from fino page and worked like it should be just fine. After about 2 months the problems continued , the phone stucked at boot with the known pink message dbi error demigod crush etc unfortunately I didn't took a photo. After reading a lot found a guide for unbricking my phone. UNTIL THEN couldn't go into dl mode or anything except factory reset giving me the same error. After the guide using qfil the phone stayed black . Boarddiag passes ap but not emmc. The phone is stuck on 9008 or if I play a little in diagnostic 9006. I played with battery and cable only , the buttons don't work tried vol up . Any guy want my teamviewer to check? Thank you in advance

if boarddiag is not passing emmc test it means your emmc is faulty/dead, no fix for this that I know unless you replace eMMC.
