i have a verizon s4. i tried to install custom rom in it now i am stuck at this screen which says " downloading.." "do not turn off target"
i tried every version of odin and multiple roms to flash but it says " SW RV. CHECK FAIL : FUSED 5 : BINARY 1"
WHAT ???? IS THAT ??
You might probably have flashed the wrong firmware for your device or Downgraded to older version. I am Attaching a link here please go through it carefully and try recovering your phone with care.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511880
This is for Note 3 but you can follow the same for yours, download the stock and latest available firmware (KITKAT 4.4.2) for your phone and flash via odin.

You are at the wrong forum. This is not for the verizon s4. Go there for anwsers.
Probably you just need to reflash stock firmware or something.

i was using the stock ROM when i tried to install cyanogen few months back but the processed did not go through successfully so now when i start the phone i get the samsung custom logo.
so i was using that for months now because it did let me go thru normally even though the process of installing cyanogen didn't completed. So i think i messed up some internal files.
but phone was working good and everything until when i wanted to factory reset , it goes into odin mode and then gives me that error no matter
what version or Stock rom i use

I'm guessing you have the MK2 firmware? The only thing available (at this time) for MK2 is a version of Safestrap. There is plenty of information about this available in the forums.
I fixed it

That is the MF3 TAR file, so you must have been on MF3 firmware. The file is also available via links in the XDA forums, which I suggest everyone use instead of direct links or off site websites. You can avoid a lot of trouble in the future if you take a little time to read and learn about what it is you are trying to do before you try it. Good luck.
i bought note 3 from one stranger and i forget to check the sticker on the back of the battery ( it was removed) , as explained by he " He used the mobile regularly but after rooting he got the signal problem and is not solved by flashing back the stock 4.4.2, " the mobile is working greatly for normal uses like video gaming etc ,i decide to use custom rom so i flashed the recovery but it failed on odin, after that i restarted the phone but it says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue . please select recovery mode in kies and try again " . i downloaded the uk frimware and try to flash but it fails in the half , after lot of research i got to know that there are two type of Note 3 , one normal one and one the demo unit , now am worried is my Note 3 is demo unit ?? as the sticker is pulled off .. in odin mode it shows the prodect name as SM-N9005, am the Firmware installing Failed i dont know why , so am thinking is DEMO UNIT so the flashing failed .
Please help me my mobile stuck on the odin mode ..
Is there any way to know what exactly my mobile is ?? it is demo or normal ???
and if it is demo please tell me how to make it run so that i can use it as tablet ...
NOTE: he said that he was using the phone as normal , but the sticker is pulled off so am worried ...
what i have tried..
1) Flashed the latest KK through the Odin and it failed .
2) Flashed the Recovery through Odin again it failed .
3) Tried to flash kernel again it failed .
thanks in advance ... am ready to donate if any one in the huge community help me ..

Ok Downloading ... and will tell you the result ..
Update:
I tried the demo unit firmware (given link) but the result was same .. it failed the same way.. i tried flashing boot-loader only from that file and its seem my mobile have newer bootloader than that provided in the unit demo firmware.. Trying from last 2 days but no success .. Hope you will find any other way ..
Update 2:
Now i able to flash the Philz Recovery though it says nand write failed but it was flashed and i wipe everything and tried the cm11 nightly but it gives boot loop.. i tried the fix but same .. i dont know what is going on . i can't flash anything through the odin all firmware fails .. recovery fails., kernel fails and the single pit also fails.. by saying nand write fail .. i think the emmc is set to read only but don't know how to remount it to RW .. hope you understand what i mean.

That shouldn't have failed, CSC mismatch is not a cause of flash failure. Can you provide more details?
Hm...
Hi guys,
I had an issue similar to this and have no recollection what I did to fix it. I don't even think that I fixed it, ever. Meaning - no stock ROM install for me for months and months now.
I just downloaded some AOSP/TW ROM and flashed. Are you able to get to the custom recovery? Please confirm - I've read somewhere that you can flash stock from custom recovery. I did try a few "PIT" files, with no help.
P.S. I remembered a bit now. I was finally able to flash it through Odin, but entered boot loop. So, no go!
My eyes are on this thread.
Good luck,
Sonny B.

Um sorry for the late reply. So what happens is i down the firmware from sammobile sure that it was for my model and build number but the csc was of switzerland different than mine next i flashed the rom from 3 different versions of odin starting from v.3.10 it started saying checking md5 file and it was taking too long and we had lost hope then suddenly it said md5 read succesfully and then brought up another dialouge saying setup connection and then cam up with a fail message usb debugging and all the process was done correctly i know this is a late reply but please reply back if you are there thanks

Hi ,
I think you have latest build now (4.4.4) , yes ? If yes , you must to try to flash via Odin older firmware http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/34971/T537VVRU1ANE2_T537VVZW1ANE2_VZW/ from any source . Before flashing you must to do factory reset . Then to try Towelroot . Perhaps you must to try like here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58501194&postcount=245 . Then freeze or delete update service . If all will be fail , flash your last firmware again (for return back) .
Remember , you lost data when do factory reset .
You not afraid nothing .

And why exactly shouldn't they try that? That's exactly what they're doing here I even contacted the moderator to verify that. Plus I used that method to re-root after I had to Odin back to complete factory stock. I don't see what the problem is flashing just an older kernel, rooting using towelroot, and then flashing the most current kernel. That's exactly how my tablet is rooted and was on the most current firmware (OA2) before I flashed Cyanogenmod
Hello Everyone, i got a note 3 phone
SM-N9005 FCC ID: A3LSMN9005
SSN:- N9005GSMH
MADE IN VIETNAM BY SAMSUNG..
i bought this note 3 phone from UAE and it was with Kitkat 4.4.2 and when i was using it, some apps used to stop and not responding and get a pop-up message "System has stopped" or something like .com.system has stopped responding, also when i open some other apps the phone shuts down, so i turn it on, sometimes it works fine and sometimes it stops responding and shut down many times, so i had to make a full restore factory reset and still have the same problem, some guys told me you have problems with the rom, so i had to look for stock roms to it and found a lollipop rom under this name (AP_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar) and i installed samsung usb drivers just to make sure that everything is okay.
so when i started flashing it by odin it said Fail, so i tried once again but failed again, and i found my phone went to that black screen with (firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies & try again), i couldn't get to my previous kitkat rom after that, but i'm able to go to download mode and recovery mode, so after this( brick) i had to search of how to unbrick it so after that i flashed philz as a recovery mode, and then flashed (All samsung recovery.tar) so then after flashing it, that message of (firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies & try again) is gone, but i got another loop of restart each time i open the phone, it is not booting it is only taking me to the black start screen of android, and after a while it restarts itself.. and then when i tried to flash the same rom once again and connected my phone to my computer, drivers started configuring and so i waited to finish, but it failed it said (MTP USB Device Failed), though i still can see the phone connected over Odin in download mode.
so i had to look for another rom which is a kitkat stock version (N900TUVUCNB4_N900TTMBCNB4_N900TUVUCNB4_HOME.tar) which i found after downloading it and flashing it to my phone that it is for n900, which is normally failed flashing!.
so I don't know if i messed things up or not, and i really don't know what else or more to do ?
please give me your advice so i can restore this phone to its original stats.
Thank You!
Are you sure the first firwmware you flashed is a full stock firmware?. What is the size?.
The second firmware you flashed isn't for n9005. Try different firmware specifially for UAE.

1. Go to Download Mode.
2. Tell me if you can flash this ONE using ODIN. It's the latest for KSA (Country Saudi Arabia).

Choose corresponding file for BL, AP, CP & CSC. Do not tick repartition. You could also try with the firmware as suggested by joku
