Hi,
My Defy (MB525) was not charging so i replaced with a duplicate battery and it worked for a day only and now both batteries shows a question mark while charging...
Just want to confirm, that means a bad battery right? So if i buy a new one, may be a high capacity one, my phone will work???
If its a battery issue, where can i get a descent battery.?

Hi to all,
i've a big problem with my Touch HD.
about 1 month ago batteries of my phone starting to degrade (i've 2 battery : the original 1 of 1,350mh and a second bought from ebay of 1,500mh).
At the beginning, even after a full night of charging, the battery charge was at max 70%, with the phone lasting no more than a couple of hours with low usage.
Suddenly the thing get worts and even after 1 or 2 full days of charge the battery gain max 5% of charge, with phone lasting 10/15 minutes!
I'd think about some battery problem (strange to both at the same time, but who knows?) and I've bought another original battery.
Well, THE SAME EXACTLY PROBLEM, with the battery not charging more that 5%, even after 3 days!
The salesman where i've bought the phone (an electronic superstore) said me that probably it's a Phone Software failure... It really could be? and what can i do to fix it?
Obviously, I've also the problem that at the moment a not-original bootloader + rom is on the phone, so probably HTC will say to me that warranty is now broken... Any possibilities to reload the original fullpack in any way without the battery?!
thx
You can try charging your battery with a universal Li-ion battery charger and then put it back inside HD and remove the 'illegal' stuff, before sending to HTC
I have an external charger and I've tried to charge all the 3 battery..
After few mins charger led turn from red to green... so I've checked the battery with a tester and i've found che all the batteries are fully charged...
So the phone could be totally f***ed up?!
is there someone that could have any idea on how much it will cost to change the motherboard (i've read somewhere in internet that it could be my problem) out of warranty?
thx
Hi.
I just got my Droid 2 Global.
I tried my new battery which is an aftermarket Yiboyuan Battery.
It is not charging and I got a question mar on my status bar.
My phone says when I plug the charger:
!Invalid Battery
Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged.
Replace the battery with an original Motorola battery.
I tired to clean contacts on phone and battery, still same problem.
Got this problem with stock rom and Fission 2.4.3 so it's not software.
My question is:
Is it my phone or the battery? I don't have another battery right now.
Best Regards and would appreciate any input.
Probably the battery. I would just count my loses and get a Moto battery. If you wanted to test if it's the phone, you could borrow a battery from someone with a D2, D2G, or original Droid, and see if it charges.
It sounds to me like it's the battery though. I've never heard of a bad battery giving that kind of error message.
Thanks for your answer.
The battery works correctly but it gives me this error and it won't charge.
In the battery box it says "milestone a855" so it might some kind of incompatibility with the D2G.
I will buy another battery right now but I will have to wait about a month to check it.
I had the same thing happen to me with a third party battery. Droids only like Moto batteries.
Already bought one from eBay.
Will report my results, maybe it will help someone.
Battery arrived.
Now it's reporting correct percentage and allows me to charge it.
Thanks.
Hi,
I've installed WP7 from Yuki/XboxMod but is it possible to use this battery:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2600ma...tery-battery-cover-case-for-htc-leo-hd2-91228
The biggest one?
Or is it better to buy this 2 pack?:

I need to buy a new one because I can't do one day with it..
I've heard that some rom's does not work with it.
Greetz,
Kevin
I bought similar extended battery, but failed to gain any significant increase in battery life. I am using Xbmod/Yuki BTTF ROM. Even if I charge with external charger, the phone doesn't seem to recognise the extra capacity.

you can use the bigger battey and use an external charger, that will give you a full charge, to use it you just pop the battery out and restart the device when it reports low, that usually works at least it does for mine anyway
course if you got an cradle with external charger then you can buy a couple of batteries an keep some spare
HTC Extended Battery
Hi guys,
I'm planing to install WP7 on my HD2 but I don't know if the original HTC extended battery is supported once I intalled WP7 on it.
I see that you were talking about some others extended batteries but the one made by HTC self. Is it supported?
Thanks in advance

I have the genuine HTC HD2 EXTENDED BATTERY, BA E400 2300MAH myself, and use it in substitution with regular battery...
Yes it'll work but your battery status readings will be incorrect i.e. the charge status bar in top right corner. However, the battery will last about twice as long as the stock one, but your batt status would be on low for that matter or as the guy in post somewhere above suggests, you can restart the phone when the indicator is low and get back accurate batt. level reading.
With that being said, EVEN THE GENUINE BATTERY WON'T CHARGE WHEN IT'S IN USE/IN THE PHONE. You're going to need external charger or charge it in Android (dual boot).
Good Luck!
Re : the 2 pack deal with external charger
aM i right in saying they cannot be charged when in use??
Would this have any repercussions with the genuine battery? Ie charging when in use?
I bought a replacement battery for my defy because the stock battery has bulged and now quickly loses its charge. I got the new one from eBay and it has, 3500 mah. I'm currently using Mokee OS for my defy but the battery percentage that it is showing doesn't seem to be accurate because it has been at 1% for more than 12hrs now, no kidding. I have wiped the battery stats for this after the first full charge and I also used battery calibration. Has anybody experienced this when they replaced the battery?
Sent from Defy (dead LED flash because Chinese SBF)
You should flash your Phone with battery fix appropate to New one. try that one for defy+
That's what you'd get when using different capacity from stock ones.
Defy/Defy+ would recognize only 1500/1700 mAh batterys, it's fixed in the rom.
There's no fix for Hi-capa battery, you may just live with it, or try Momax 1500mAh if you like.
Try it with different battd binary files. According to this video it can work correctly.
I had bricked my defy MB525 and bought a new battery since the old one was inflated. After installing the battery I managed to flash the Eclair T-Mobile SBF but after that the bootloader read "Low Battery Cannot Program". When i plugged it into the charger I got a screen with a battery and a ? in it. When i connect it to my PC it charges, switches on and then dies after 10 mins. The cycle keeps repeating. The bootloader and stock recovery don't work. When i pushed battery calibrator it read 5% and 3119 mV just before it dies every time. At first it was at 3254 mV. My question is how to get the phone to charge to 100% so i can calibrate the battery since it keeps discharging after bootup.

I think your new battery has a problem and can't charge (i'm not sure), you should ask for a new one where you have bought it .

i thought new batteries, genuine or not, don't come fully charged? you were lucky to even able to flash the sbf with the little charges it had. a better idea would be to buy an external battery charger in my opinion.
