I'm searching the best battery lire ROM... Better than the stock.
If it is as smooth as stock it would be wonderful

I don't want to compare roms as it's against forum rules, but I'm very pleased with my battery life running ARHD.
There's no other way to find an answer to this than to just try the ROMs for yourself. If 10 people post in here, you'd get 10 different answers as battery life is dependent on numerous factors.

Well, as we've seen that there are many custom roms for our X10 in development session.
Does anyone can share about which Rom is stable and Good battery life?
For me, I'm using FreeX10 from Z.
Battery life is one of the important part of smart phones.
I made this thread for newbies who don't get confuse to choose.

hard to say which is better because it depends on how you use it what apps you have.
Best way is trial and error thanks to Z flashing roms is easy and takes no time, just remember to back everything up so you can go back in you dont like it
My X10 is now saving batery !!!
What Tom has the best battery life, I'm liking the WP7 themes and good battery life to go with it would be awesome.

this question has been asked several times, simple use of the search button would help you find your answer
but to answer real quick, AOSP builds>Sense builds at battery life. Sense builds, such as Virtuous Unity, BlissSense, Darkside Sense, usually have more bloatware and have more visual appeal/eye candy which drains more battery. AOSP/MIUI builds, such as CM7, MIUI, and Faux's Nexus Gingerbread, are more stripped down and made for performance and battery life. but you can also find yourself a good Sense ROM paired with an awesome kernel that can get just as good battery as AOSP builds. its also about how you use your phone as well (syncing, games, movies, calling, OC/UV settings, etc.)

The best answer one can give you is this. By nature AOSP have the best battery life by nature. Cyanogen and Faux's AOSP will be the two best options you have. However regardless of which OS you use, you are dependent on the battery life. What is the screen brightness set at? What is the volume set at ? What widgets do you have running ? do you have it set to auto sync? do you have it set on "WiFi on" all the time? is bluetooth on all the time? How often do you tinker with your phone? how many text messages do you get? how many emails? Facebook? Twitter? google plus? is it set to HSPA+ or EDGE?
there are many many many different ventures, and avenues you can take on this.
experienced user told me that Stock(AOSP 4.2.2) is better than Custom (CM10.1, AOKP...) (in terms of Battery life.)
is this true? maybe someone test?
i have Nexus 7 3G (AOKP off + franco Kernel)
It's impossible to give you a truly correct answer because there's too many variants which can make battery life differ.
As things like apps, usage, ROMs, kernels, mods, the device, tweaks and many other things can all have different effects on battery life, it really is dependant on the specific situation.
So if I was to have the 3G model (as you have), be using the same ROM and kernel combination, have all settings exactly the same, have exactly the same apps installed, use the apps for exactly the same amount of time and have the same mods/tweaks installed, we could still quite easily have our battery life last a different amount of time.
Due to that, that's why it's always best to just test them out for yourself so then you'll know exactly how your battery will perform in regards to your usage

The ROM makes little to no difference whatsoever. Battery life is more affected by the kernel and your own individual settings.

But some ROMs claim to have better battery life than the others (CodenameBattery, SuperCharge Series). Are they talking nonsense?

Odp: [Q] Best Battery life. Stock or Custom?
I use stock 4.2.2 rooted in two weeks now, and the battery is very good. Try to stick to stock in one week or so.

Some could absolutely be talking nonsense but others could actually be telling the truth.
They could have certain tweaks in place that will indeed improve battery and could also have more power saving apps included. There's so many variables that without actually testing them out for yourself, there's no way of knowing whether it will have better battery life or not.
I use a custom ROM on my gnex simply for color control, but in my experience custom kernels never improve battery enough to make more than a very minimal difference. I stick to stock with my 7 for multiple reasons, one being certain EA games won't download data while using custom kernels. You'll see people claiming custom kernel's get them 9 hours display time ect... Well I've gotten that on stock depending on what I was doing with my 7. My average is usually more like 5-6 over 2-3 days as I use it more for gaming than anything.

Like previous members have stated, it's not possible to give you a definite answer as to which gives you better battery life. When I received my N7 I rooted and installed a ROM and a kernel. Ultimately I revert back to full stock android for many reasons. One, battery life was much better on stock kernel than a custom one. I didn't need a custom ROM either. Only on my N4 would I need custom software installed because recently my mother has been using my N7 a lot so my N4 is what I use most now.

the ROM with the best battery life that i have tried is DITTO3 v4.1 (android 4.4.2). All Samsung's utilities (s.pen, multiwindows, camera etc etc..) with a more that one day of use (3G and 5/6 hours of screen).
I myself found TouchWiz ROM having better battery life. I do a lot of tweaking on aosp, probam, paranoid, but still found battery life is not so good. I tried custom kernel with undervolt. It doesn't really improve too much battery life. My sot target is 6 to 8 hours.

I have been using modern Atrix 4g ROMs for the last couple of years. E Pinter's 10.1 with the stock launcher has been pretty good for day to day use. However it still drops cell connectivity (requiring a reboot) and has a pretty short battery life.
I need to use my phone as a reliable bare bones GPS tracker for a long cycling tour I have coming up. What is my best option for a low power, long battery life, stable ROM?
I don't mind going way back in time if I have to. Let me know your thoughts. And please post links if you know what they are
Thats a "whats the best rom?" question. These kinds of threads are not allowed.

There is no such thing called "best ROM/kernel/mod/...". Everything's got its own pros and cons. Head over to the development sections, try a few, and then decide for yourself
