Hi guys,
Just want to let you know that I have just received an OTA update with the unbranded Kitkat ROM for the Brazilian Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (3G+WIFI).
I will use it for one day and then I will post my considerations about this ROM.
Thanks,

If someone could please create a mirror, I'd be really happy. My internet is already slow and then these mirror even reduce download speed. ):
Im Brasilian too and instaled the Panama version.
Worth it to change to ZTO or is same thing?
Rooted PANAMA 4.4.2 version

Hello Ronis!
I've rooted my device after install the PANAMANIAN version of kitkat to be able to write over external sd (Just a week ago).
I wonder if the Brazilian released 4.4.2 version is better then Panamanian version. One is from January and the another one from june.
You know if is possible to install the Brazilian over the Panamanian version via ODIN, leaving the device rooted? I mean: just overwrite.
Thanks!!!
Hi guys,
Unfortunately I did not used the Panama version to give a good comparison with the ZTO. I think it is possible to overwrite the Panama version with ZTO but it CAN trigger you knox counter, so please be very careful!
The ZTO ROM is amazing. Comparing to 4.3, the tablet is much more smooth and Hancom office is much better than Polaris. So far, I did not notice any bugs.

So you gonna install the Brazilian version over the Pamamanian version? Is your device rooted?
Sorry but I don´t understand enough to know about knoxx;
Once I rooted I trigger the knoxx?

No, my device is stock non rooted.
Depends what kind of root you use you can trigger knox.
For exemple CF-AUTOROOT will trigger knox, Towelroot dont .... (but towellroot doesnt work on P601 yet).

Unfortunately I used CF-Auto-Root; by de way I tried with Towelroot but didn't work.
I'm wondering about the warranty, until march 2015;
I was getting stressed because de extSD (couldn't write on it) and then (as I did in another cellphone) I rooted it.
I saw a video in with the guy Reset the Binary Counter on Galaxy S4;
please search for: How to Reset Flash / Binary Counter on Galaxy S4! - Triangle Away App
You think that it would applicable to our devices?
My major question is about install the Brazilian version over the Panamanian version. Is it better? compiled in june as panamanian in january...
I checked and they just change one letter (E to F) as follows:
BRAZILIAN
PDA: P601UBUCNF1 E->F
CSC: P601ZTOCNE1 (equal)
MODEM: P601UBUCNE1 (equal)
PANAMANIAN
PDA: P601UBUCNE1
CSC: P601UUBCNE1
MODEM: P601UBUCNE1
Is just download the Brazilian compilation and apply It using Odin?
TKS!
Guys,
Please take care.
With Galaxy S4, AFAIK if you flash a different ROM with the SAME version, it often trigger the knox!
Thus, before do anything, research about it to avoid knox triggering.
Thanks,
Ronan
Rom UPDATED
Hello people!
I updated my Panamanian version to the Brazilian version via odin.
After that I had to root again.
It seems better than Panamanian. (Battery savings and smooth operations);
Now I'm recognizing that smart scroll doesn't work at all.
Is this caused due to the root operation?
It does not work here neither. I am not sure why ...

XSA for I9505 is available on Samfirmware (so is the Voda update) and as it's XXUE, yes, it has the 'Knox enabled' bootloader; I.E the one that has gives you this pic in DL mode & at the moment has no way of resetting the Knox warranty if you flash non-stock firmware.

You really need to read a lot more before you start messing around flashing things on your device. It's ALL around this forum about not being able to downgrade.

Samsung build some protection so you can't downgrade, for how long that's another story. Anything software can be broken, it's just the matter of effort, keep your eyes open, maybe somebody will find way.

I just read an interesting news. Apparently, some canadian phones ( SM-N900W8 ) when flashed with the newly released Mexican 4.4.2 can downgrade back to a 4.3 firmware. Did somebody who flashed the Poland 4.4.2 tried flashing it and maybe you guys can downgrade to 4.3 after as well? It's just an idea I haven't really tried it.

I also have an S3 i9305 with tripped knox bootloader after upgrading to 4.3. I have not tried to flash stock 4.1.2 on it after that, but it is not a problem to flash a custom 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 custom ROM on it.
Is it only samsung signed ROMs that won't boot if it's downgraded? And custom ROMs is not a problem as long as you don't try to downgrade the bootloader?

that sux! but what is the point of being able to select a BL file in Odin then?
Samsung did changes on the bootloader since MJ7, once updates cannot downgrade.
Also new firmware OS need new bootloader, means once up to latest KitKat that need new bootloader, they is no way to revert to older version as of now.

Well for us SM-N900W8 users it's possible to flash back to 4.3. Just took Mexican 4.4.2 for a spin and to me looks the same as 4.3 so I'm back to 4.3 as there's not that many 4.4.2 custom roms out yet.

I absolutely agree with the above, I received an OTA 4.3 U.A.E update but was not actually interested, I am very happy with my rooted 4.1.2. everything works perfect, fingers crossed..
Samsung is has the best Android device, but I'm very angry now !! why don't give everybody the updates in the same time ?
of course, here in SA we need to wait forever maybe,
I think I will not buy a samsung phone anymore !!

ksa device with indian rom for now
I did manually updated my device to 4.3 ueml4 latest via mobile odin first time ... I encountered the missing signal problem and wifi not working problem too !
what I did ? silly me ... I flashed ml4 again via pc odin
now my bootloader is new and cant be downgraded
also I have knox counter and knox programs too
I cant root my device and if I do it I will loose warrenty !
I would recommend you to stay put against 4.3 update and maybe go for 4.4 kitkat when released
many missing features on 4.3 ... music player cant share music anymore ... also battery is the same but exchange services ( push mod ) is taking a big hit on my battery so I stopped it and used to check every hour option
but after flashing ml4 modem sometimes I see 3g faster than 4.1.2 and sometimes the signal dissapears
hope this helps
if anyone knows how to root this ml4 firmware without loosing warrenty please tell me
I already tried the script method and some other methed too but failed
WOW,
Thats interesting and confusing at the same time
I'm from egypt too, I tried wanam rom, dr.ketan's roms (4.3) but I couldn't manage to make them work.
I'm prefering AOSP roms actually but I miss my SPen, and lovely Samsung keyboard so I reverted back from AOSP roms to TW 4.1.2 Again and my current rom is :
PDA: N7100XXDMC3
CSC: N7100OJVDMC1
MODEM: N7100XXDLK7
Now I really thought about updating via odin using UAE firmware:
PDA: N7100XXUEMKA
CSC: N7100OJVEMK3
MODEM: N7100XXUEMJ9
but I got confused after seeing that thread acually
I don't care about warranty , but I do care more about the downgrade inability specially when I see some users complain about being unable to downgrade.
Please share your experience if any so that we could know what to do .

Have a look at this :
http://honai-android.blogspot.in/2014/01/how-to-root-galaxy-note-2-n7100-on.html
already tried saferoot method , doesnt work on ML4 base
only working way is cf-autoroot flashable via odin pc
now i am rooted with this way and knox void warrenty tripped to 1
I finally did it
I could make the rom work with my old DLK7 modem without tripping knox
but I really dont like 4.3 after trying it, battery consumption is not as good as 4.1.2

I didn't unroot before I flashed this. However, you will lose root. The new boot loader has the Knox flag, which means if you root this firmware, the Knox flag will likely be set and that may void your warranty. I'm just using mine without root at the moment.
Steps I did was to do a factory reset in stock recovery, then used Odin 3.0.9 to flash the new firmware. Google search for a guide to using Odin. As I did a factory reset, had to install all my apps, etc. again. So, back up anything you want to keep before you start.

I've been using it for a few days now without any issue. Feels a bit snappier than 4.2.2 and battery seems to last a bit longer. However, not a huge upgrade. If you're happy with 4.2.2 or need a rooted tablet, then I wouldn't bother to upgrade. For myself, I always like to try out the latest, that's why I upgraded.

It's generally the default language (which you can change of course) and possibly some pre-installed apps in different country's firmwares. There can be other differences too. I don't think a 4.4.2 firmware for the UK is available for the N5120 yet. There is this German one and some Singapore ones that have just been released too. Other countries will follow.

Just an update. I was able to root N9005DXUGNH1 firmware without tripping knox using _alxndr method which means towel root did work. My problem now is my wifi, Sammobile has not released DXUGNH1 firmware yet on their website which means i wont be able to download its kernel to fix my wifi issue(tried DXUFNG2 at the moment) My question is that can I downgrade to DXUFNG2 firmware since I believe both would have the same bootloader I guess or wait till Sammobile uploads DXUGNH1 on their website which I dont know how long will they take to do so. I currently only have 3gb data plan so I would wish to fix this wifi issue more quickly as possible. Would really appreciate your Ideas. Thanks
