It seems that Samsung skipped to update KSA and Egypt device in this round....Samsung customer support has no answer...and we are stuck on 4.1.2 since many users reported network problem after updating using UAE version....latest Saudi Arabia and Egypt version is DLK7 CSC JV......UAE 4.3 rom has the same CSC but many users reported no network problem after flash via Odin

Tried asking Samsung Support in Qatar here, most of them got no clue either. One of the staff told me its delayed due to the problems many have encountered.

Actually they are a group o liars...sometime they say it will be online soon..and sometime they reply we don't know ..the update is almost 2 months ago and most of users have no problems ...many reviews say it's stable....if there are problems why did Samsung rolled the update to the whole world then ??!!!! If you check on Sammobile web site...only about 10 countries didn't get the update while most of the world get....

I absolutely agree with the above, I received an OTA 4.3 U.A.E update but was not actually interested, I am very happy with my rooted 4.1.2. everything works perfect, fingers crossed..
Samsung is has the best Android device, but I'm very angry now !! why don't give everybody the updates in the same time ?
of course, here in SA we need to wait forever maybe,
I think I will not buy a samsung phone anymore !!

Totally agree man. Half of these idiots in customer care know nothing. Anyways, its better off with AOSP ROMs trust me. Try PorBam KitKat ROM. Awesomeness

ksa device with indian rom for now
I did manually updated my device to 4.3 ueml4 latest via mobile odin first time ... I encountered the missing signal problem and wifi not working problem too !
what I did ? silly me ... I flashed ml4 again via pc odin
now my bootloader is new and cant be downgraded
also I have knox counter and knox programs too
I cant root my device and if I do it I will loose warrenty !
I would recommend you to stay put against 4.3 update and maybe go for 4.4 kitkat when released
many missing features on 4.3 ... music player cant share music anymore ... also battery is the same but exchange services ( push mod ) is taking a big hit on my battery so I stopped it and used to check every hour option
but after flashing ml4 modem sometimes I see 3g faster than 4.1.2 and sometimes the signal dissapears
hope this helps
if anyone knows how to root this ml4 firmware without loosing warrenty please tell me
I already tried the script method and some other methed too but failed
WOW,
Thats interesting and confusing at the same time
I'm from egypt too, I tried wanam rom, dr.ketan's roms (4.3) but I couldn't manage to make them work.
I'm prefering AOSP roms actually but I miss my SPen, and lovely Samsung keyboard so I reverted back from AOSP roms to TW 4.1.2 Again and my current rom is :
PDA: N7100XXDMC3
CSC: N7100OJVDMC1
MODEM: N7100XXDLK7
Now I really thought about updating via odin using UAE firmware:
PDA: N7100XXUEMKA
CSC: N7100OJVEMK3
MODEM: N7100XXUEMJ9
but I got confused after seeing that thread acually
I don't care about warranty , but I do care more about the downgrade inability specially when I see some users complain about being unable to downgrade.
Please share your experience if any so that we could know what to do .

Have a look at this :
http://honai-android.blogspot.in/2014/01/how-to-root-galaxy-note-2-n7100-on.html
already tried saferoot method , doesnt work on ML4 base
only working way is cf-autoroot flashable via odin pc
now i am rooted with this way and knox void warrenty tripped to 1
I finally did it
I could make the rom work with my old DLK7 modem without tripping knox
but I really dont like 4.3 after trying it, battery consumption is not as good as 4.1.2

Hi guys, I'm a kinda of novice on android after coming from blackberry, I rooted my I9500 using chainfire auto root and everything worked flawlessly well. I never use triangle away since its not available for the device. Now some new updates are rolling in from Sammy and really love touchwiz so I didn't bother myself with custom roms. I would love to have those updates cos I heard they make the phone really fast and eliminate lagging. When I checked for updates I still get I have the latest firmware. My device status shows official. I didn't do anything to change Dat. If you guys have any idea how to get OTA Plz ur ideas are welcome plus a step by step method of running stock rom via odin is appreciated. Here is a snapshot of my device. Pls guys don't be offended if someone has already post a similar complaint.

That is the latest BTU stock rom on your phone . I looked back at your previous posts, it looks like you stated that your phone came with MDM in at least 2 other posts, so I think the update worked just fine!
Hi guys. I have just bought my note 3 from three uk and although I don't want to root it yet, I do want the stock, non rooted firmware as I don't think three UK will be updating it anytime soon.
I don't want to risk messing up my warranty or knox or even adding to a flash counter so hopefully the stock firmware won't cause problems there.
I haven't used odin for over 2 years as I have flashed new roms to my s2 via recovery ever since the first Flash way back when.
Could someone confirm I shouldn't have any issues with the concerns I mention above. Also is there already a tutorial for the process and lastly, what firmware would I need for my uk, quad core device which is 9005 version?
Thanks in advance.

Im using a note3 which came with stock UK btu firmware. Had loads of problems with signal, internet speed and various apps that use the internet. Rooted tripping my Knox and installed x-note v3. I then downloaded three UK modem and three UK CSC file and flashed them in Odin and everything is working so much better now. I'm also using my note 3 on full brightness and I'm getting between 6 and 8 hours screen on time. Loving it.
If I were you I'd stick to three's firmware unless your happy to trip Knox then I'd flash a custom ROM and try and keep 3's modem and CSC

Thanks for the reply.
By sticking to official samsung firmware minus the three branding and not rooting I shouldn't trip knox or the flash count anyway apparently.

Hi there,
I've got my second N7100 , and it came with the JellyBean 4.3.
I recall the old good times, when the JB 4.1.2 was definitely faster....
The new mobile has never been rooted or upgraded (Knox 0x0), and I was wondering if there is any chance to succesfully downgrade it. I just did the same with a Galaxy S3 with full success and, even f I know they are two completely different devices, it lighted my hopes to do something similar with the Note too, hopefully without increasing the knox counter.
Some info from the current firm (4.3):
AP: N7100XXUEMK9
CP: N7100XXUEMJ9
CSC: N7100ITVEMK2
Downloaded firmware (4.1.2)
N7100XXDME6_N7100ITVDMF1_ITV
(it's an Italian device).
Any info, hope, recommendation?
Thanks!

As far as i'm aware there is currently no hope of downgrading the Note 2 from 4.3 Knox has it locked up tight.
I hunted for a long time after I was seriously underwhelmed by 4.3 and the best I could find was saferoot to root with out tripping knox.
But then you have the problem that The 4.3 "upgrade" locked the bootloader down even tighter so you can't install a custom recovery to flash a 4.1.2 based rom.
All that said there has been some amazing work done by Hashcode and Beastmode I think, who have got Safestrap into a working beta for at least the Verizon Note2. This means you can flash 4.3 based roms for now. (but only the verizon note2 just now...I think)
So there is a bit of hope. I'm running a non network branded Note2 so keeping my eye on how things are going over in the Verizon camp.
4.4.2 is available...why not flash that instead? Its a definite improvement over 4.3.

I'm tempted but the only way to root 4.4.2 just now WILL trip KNOX and I'm not psyched about that.
Also there's a good chance that the 4.4.2 boot loader is locked down tighter yet and we'll have to wait even longer for a work around.
I "upgraded" as soon as 4.3 was available only to find that I'd shot myself in the foot because of the change to the boot loader.
This is just personal opinion...I don't have any facts to back up the guess that the 4.4.2 boot loader is trouble...but I'm waiting for now.

Good point: I have the same feeling and fear at the same time.
Before flashing the 4.4.2 I am waiting to read some positive comments, not olny based on a "first approach" enthusiasm (please let me pass this expression).
I was wondering if any Samsung service center can do the dowgrade, perhaps using some internal software / any ther things that they can use and it is not available for us, "mere mortals" ...
Hmm it's probably something that they COULD do but I don't think that they WOULD do it.
It depends on if they have a "point and shoot" Samsung flashing tool or if they could choose what version of bootloader and firmware to use separately.
Honestly I'm guessing though.

Frist to root it. open usb debug...
this ATTACH FILE is the newest bootloader for note2 n7100..You can replace sboot.bin(find it form old rom...open it with 7zip)..
I didn't do downgrade to JB bootloader ...but.I downgrade to NA1 success...and upgrade to ND3 success.. you can have a try to downgrade bootloader.
Is it possible to downgrade nd3 bootloader?
Careful about flashing bootloaders
Don't flash anything you are not absolutely 250 % sure and wait patiently. Going up to 4.4x might block you even more without a chance to downgrade at all. Don't believe everything you read 4.4x it's a treat. .kit kat remember.

Hello Ronis!
I've rooted my device after install the PANAMANIAN version of kitkat to be able to write over external sd (Just a week ago).
I wonder if the Brazilian released 4.4.2 version is better then Panamanian version. One is from January and the another one from june.
You know if is possible to install the Brazilian over the Panamanian version via ODIN, leaving the device rooted? I mean: just overwrite.
Thanks!!!
Hi guys,
Unfortunately I did not used the Panama version to give a good comparison with the ZTO. I think it is possible to overwrite the Panama version with ZTO but it CAN trigger you knox counter, so please be very careful!
The ZTO ROM is amazing. Comparing to 4.3, the tablet is much more smooth and Hancom office is much better than Polaris. So far, I did not notice any bugs.

Sorry but I don´t understand enough to know about knoxx;

No, my device is stock non rooted.
Depends what kind of root you use you can trigger knox.
For exemple CF-AUTOROOT will trigger knox, Towelroot dont .... (but towellroot doesnt work on P601 yet).

Unfortunately I used CF-Auto-Root; by de way I tried with Towelroot but didn't work.
I'm wondering about the warranty, until march 2015;
I was getting stressed because de extSD (couldn't write on it) and then (as I did in another cellphone) I rooted it.
I saw a video in with the guy Reset the Binary Counter on Galaxy S4;
please search for: How to Reset Flash / Binary Counter on Galaxy S4! - Triangle Away App
You think that it would applicable to our devices?
My major question is about install the Brazilian version over the Panamanian version. Is it better? compiled in june as panamanian in january...
I checked and they just change one letter (E to F) as follows:
BRAZILIAN
PDA: P601UBUCNF1 E->F
CSC: P601ZTOCNE1 (equal)
MODEM: P601UBUCNE1 (equal)
PANAMANIAN
PDA: P601UBUCNE1
CSC: P601UUBCNE1
MODEM: P601UBUCNE1
Is just download the Brazilian compilation and apply It using Odin?
TKS!
Guys,
Please take care.
With Galaxy S4, AFAIK if you flash a different ROM with the SAME version, it often trigger the knox!
Thus, before do anything, research about it to avoid knox triggering.
Thanks,
Ronan

Hello people!
I updated my Panamanian version to the Brazilian version via odin.
After that I had to root again.
It seems better than Panamanian. (Battery savings and smooth operations);
Now I'm recognizing that smart scroll doesn't work at all.
Is this caused due to the root operation?
It does not work here neither. I am not sure why ...
