So I'm trying to connect my phone to transfer some files but I no longer get the USB method selection, the phone is only charging.
I also get a message from Windows after connecting via USB: "one if the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it."
I tried re-installing LG united mobile driver but it didn't work. any suggestions?

After I connect to PC, it does nothing. I'd like to copy pics from sd card...
I did installed the drivers..
When you connect you should get something on your notification bar at the top. Drag that down and you should get some usb connection options...mass storage should do the trick. Alternatively you can download motorola drivers on ur pc and use the phone portal.

that's the problem, after i connect it, it does nothing... nothing shows up on notification bar, windows (PC) does nothing, it doesn't recognize it at all.
I did install drivers and restarted he computer...
so I tryed to connect to different PC and it worked right away with no drivers installed. So something's up with my computer, but it does recognize my camera and usb flash drive...
any ideas?
Yea it sounds like you have driver problems with that computer.
All I can think of is to uninstall the drivers, restart, and plug the phone in. I didn't install drovers when I got mine, just plugged the phone in and it installed the drivers for me.

Have you tried different USB ports? Sounds weird but I've seen this happen with a camera once
yea i tried different USB ports, nothing happens.
i also did this - uninstall the drivers, restart, and plug the phone in - still the same problem
Different USB Cable perhaps?

Tried installing HTC sync? That usually fixes the driver problems.
Either that, or try installing HTC Sync AND THEN the USB Driver cable. That worked for me, or try the newest HTC Sync available.
WHere can I install HTC Sync from? I'm having the same issue's, I never had this problem before..

I have the same problem. Both my windows 7 pc and linux netbook both used to display the magic as a mass storage device (all I need), but now neither will do it. As both fail to detect the magic I've come to he conclusion there is something missing or corrupted on the magic - probably after me pulling the usb cable too soon!
I've reinstalled the rom, ticked usb debugging etc, yet still no joy. The pc initially gave an error code 43, but now it does nothing. could somebody help please.

I tried two htc syncs, neither worked. Thats why I think its an issue related to the phone rather than the pc. Is it related to unmounting the sd/not unmounting the sd at the appropriate/inappropriate time??
All I get is:

I cannot access my samsung intercept phone with 2.2 via my windows NEW 7 usb. I did so with the same device and cable on a previous pc running XP.
When connected, it beeps but the PC says there usb driver is wrong but I have tried all sorts oof usb drivers with no success.
Both samsung and HP (pc vendor) point their fingers at each other.
Any ideas?

I used to have an intercept months ago and for a minute i had ur same problem. Try some of these options
1. Download samsung phone usb drivers.
2. Get a new usb cord.
3. Dwnload pdaNet from the market and send the drivers from ur phone to ur computer from pdaNet. ( pdaNet will ask if u need drivers) This is actually the way i got my intercept to be recognized by my win7 computer once i bought a new usb cord.

Connect via USB as media device. It does not show up in "My Computer". A dialog pops up on the phone

Connect via USB as a camera. It shows up. But the folders are all empty.

Trouble with my S5 SM-G900H!
I have a fresh install of Windows7 SP1 64bit. After connecting the phone cord (factory, MicroUSB 2) relatives in Device Manager appear strange device: "Conmeon Suspend", "CDC ACP", "CDC NCM". Set Kies3 through it put the Samsung USB-drivers. None of these devices is not defined.
After you connect to a computer on the phone is turned on and charging no more signs of connection to a computer is not.
In the "Tethering and Mobile hotspot", even when the cable is connected, item "USB tethering is hidden," written under it "No USB device connected."
Connecting to Windows7 32bit gives the same result.
After connecting to a computer with Linux on lsusb shows the device "Conmeon" and nothing else in the system appears.
Made a hard reset to factory settings - does not help.
How to revive the USB-connection?
Did you installed latest Samsung USB device driver??
