4.1.1 JellyBean Update not OTA?

Is the 4.1.1 update not OTA? I tried OTA and it says no update is available.
So I take it the only way to update to 4.1.1 is using Samsung Kies?

That depends on what model you have, but yes you can update using Kies or download from SamMobile

I have the GT-P3113. I used Kies, but it said no update available. I currently have 4.0.4. I take it I have to download 4.1.1 and manually update it?

there is no officially released JB update for the 3113 just yet there is a NON-OTA release here http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P3113&pcode=XAR&os=1&type=3#firmware if your updating from the UEBLH2 version of ICS 4.0.4 but since it's not an OTA (yet, might be might not) if you hard brick going up to it then thats it samsung won't warranty it.
the 3100 and 3110 (depending on regions) have begun to recieve official OTA's but NOT the 3113, we just have to wait and see or take the risk and flash whats here in the development threads that they say works for the 3113.

5110 UK bought yesterday OTA offered yesterday to 4.1.1

I can't get GPS lock at all on mine, but other than that the 3110 latest UK OTA works great on my 3113.

I tried that non-official-OTA last night and did not have good results...
I tried restoring with Kies,but that didn't work.
So, I had to download the stock 4.0.4 image and flash with Odin.
All is well now. But, I will definitely wait out JB - or root - haven't decided fully.

there is also this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885878 I believe its based off the same unreleased (possible OTA) but it's had all the "basics" done to it, like rooting, deodexing and stuff like that, that is standard treatment to ALL Custom ROMS.

I reflashed 404 last night and it downloaded a 286mb update to 411 ota. I have a 5110

where talking about the 3113, which is apparently going to be the last to get it, mines 18 days since unboxing it never rooted or anything and I checked last night and there was still no OTA.

P5110 DBT means free unbranded german version is still on 4.0.3! No official update.
So please stop crying

Scarsofthumper - Must be a problem with your tab (is gps on) as my updated jb tab found me in Rome very quickly, so it's not an issue with the is.

As I did not quote any posts I was replying to the original post and I don't see anywhere in op that it says 3113. And I DID specify in my post that I am using 5110, so as not to confuse anyone.

and in the second post someone asked the OP what version of the tab 2 he has and was answered in the 3rd post in the thread as the 3113, maybe try reading more then just one post next time, less confusion that way.

Really???
Samsung already announced it, and there already is a test build on SamMobile so why the negativity? Samsung never announces OTA dates. Seeing they have delivered most of the P3100 countries the official P3113 won;t be far behind if you really have to wait for the official.

My bad for not reading all posts in detail, as I go follow a free forums so 'scim' when entering a new thread. Did not realize third post was original poster and as 5th was about 5110, I did not realize this was a 3113 only thread. Apologies . Maybe I'd we ask a moderator nicely they can delete the 5110 related replies and then we can get the op title changed to include 3113

Not sure about 3113, as I have 5110, but if you check the device status of the tab (settings - about - status) and it does not say modified, then you should get ota when it is available
I think it only says modified if you flashsd custom rom, but I may be wrong. You should be able to use triangle away to drop flash counter to 0 (it worked on my 5110)

Yes... I have also received the same message but don't know where is the update? I guess Airtel is making april fool in the last days of april..

This could potentially be a leak released over the air to random note users in selected region just like the 4.1.2 leak we had months ago.
To anyone here who has received the 4.2.1 update, if you can, please contact ThaiDai or eybee so they can help extract the ROM so as to share it to the entire xda community.

I too use Airtel, but I didn't receive anything like that. Try to update and let us know. Searching google for the same also doesn't show up anything

Airtel could possibly leak some information from Samsung telling its user there is going to be an unofficial JB 4.2.1 update over OTA. if anyone can, people from the India region (DDLSC) could un-root their Notes so as to receive the unofficial OTA. Otherwise, in a month so we can find out if that leak is true(from sammobile) or we can get it earlier here.

I don't think they mistyped it,a provider wouldn't do such a big mistake,and we all know that we will be getting the 4.2 update sooner or later so i think they know what they are typing

Don`t get a update notification atm and there is no update available through the Device Manager. It should come within the next few days i guess and Motorola is preparing it now :fingers-crossed:

Yes, as long as the rom, recovery and kernel are stock you can install the OTA. You will have to reroot though.

The same version number appears on Moto's website for the latin american update (KLB20.9-1.10-1.9), maybe we'll be getting it here by the same time.

I'm currently in the waiting line of Motorolas support chat. Maybe they can give some information when the update will be available. If this is the case i'll let you know.

Nothing available for my phone yet in the UK.

I guess those with a carrier version such as Tesco mobile will have to wait forever though unless we unlock and flash stock?

Yup, this is correct though i don`t know for sure if that applies for all firmwares or only for the native (original) one that came with the G.

I flashed standard retail over my tesco rom without unlocking boot loader no problem at all (thats the last off-topic post I'll make on the subject )

4.4.4 OTA SPOTTED - Indian MotoG XT1033

So finally after a loong loong time India is blessed with the OTA update
Users have started receiving the update , expect a update in yua phone any time soon !
Can any1 make a cwm flashable zip of the OTA , for the rooted members As i can't update through OTA !

Change file name to Blur_Version.210.12.40.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03.zip than Move to sdcard. Do not put in a file. Go to System Update. It will detect the Update and install it in 10 minutes. You can see in the Pictures. Before and after About Phone.

Better would be flash stock firmware or revert the changes and update the phone as written in the post by androidpolice

I flashed lolipop in my xt1068, then i reverted back to stock. In this process my unlocked bootloader warning is gone but bootloader is still unlocked. I don't want to flash the stock back right away If i get ota update its good butt if i won't there is xda always for me right?

If you're on stock rom+recovery and you're not rooted, you can have your bootloader unlocked, you will still get the official update.

I am carrying a XT1063, right out of the box, unmodified, as virgin as it could be and still NO Lolipop update 'til now and I keep patiently waiting.
The executive team should have cared for us more than worrying about rooted ones.

As usual chat support doesn't know diddly, because I received all the lollipop OTAs while being rooted.
You just can't install them while rooted though. So revert to your pre-root backup (YOU BACKED UP YOUR /SYSTEM BEFORE ROOTING, RIGHT??!??) and then install the OTA.

HA HA HA! Great LAME joke by historical JOKERS! I have longtime rage on this company due to past bad experiences with this company. They did good by allowing easy and official unlock procedure.

Thats not always true. The update installer can easily trace the status of UNLOCKED bootloader and may refuse to install. Thats mostly possible. So dont just under-estimate. Update procedures can also recognize the rooted phone status and reject to install.
Does not matter if one unlocked/rooted phone gets next update, most people here on xda will have within few hours.

In this case it's true, but if you don't beleive me, you can go to motorola owner's forum and ask them.

If people got the OTA's, then some of them will upload it so rooted and/or impatient users can flash them manually right?

I feel the exact same way! I've got a straight from Motorola retail XT1064 no changes and nothing....

I can't believe anyone would call that chat support an "executive"
