So I edited the updater-script in the OTA file to remove all checks...
There was also a "aboot" and "recovery" flash with an auto reboot in the middle of the script. I removed it.
the "aboot" is still flashed at the end of the file... the "recovery" can be flashed manually with fastboot after...
So here are the steps :

YOU MUST HAVE AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
- Flash original RTFR 4.1.2 with RSD Lite (it will wipe everything ! backup all your internal SDcard before doing this)
- Normal boot the phone and finish initial startup configuration
- Reboot in bootloader and flash this recovery : http://d-h.st/p6M ( fastboot flash recovery philz_touch_6.43.8-moto_msm8960.img )
- Reboot in recovery and flash the modified OTA ZIP : https://mega.co.nz/#!I5xxSKCT!D9waHBuunDa8K2sJHUF_wMxZMnOqwheAQ6K62BBWIuQ
- Reboot in bootloader with "Power options" of the recovery
- flash the special 4.4 recovery : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747535 ( fastboot flash recovery xt926-KK-CWM-6048.img )
- Reboot and VOILA !

One day ago I went out this service for assistance when kikat xt925 for O2 (germany) they told me that no update is planned. as should be expected instead to retail but not seen on the market. it should be possible to flash the firmware on my kitkat O2 brand.

I'm waiting for the retail versión too.. I'm from argentina and i don't think that our providers upgrade our phones..

Down in México here, also no expecting my carrier to upgrade to KS. I did read o a believe a did, about some carrier already on Labs for KitKat for XT925.hopecully is the case, otherwise this will be my last moto.Motorola doesn't seem to care much about user outside the US.

But the truth.. I think is that we are all waiting for a custom rom based on KK new kernel and drivers.. Not so much for the stock sbf.. Or at least that my idea

At the end of the post in which he announces the XT926 update (sorry guys, can't add links yet), David Schuster says:
The timing varies on xt925 based on carrier and country. Generically the current timing is tracking to end of the Q2 to early Q3 for the 4.4.2 upgrades...

Yes, we're all waiting for that. And indeed, no carrier here in Argentina would work on the update.
I'm not sure if the word has been spread here, but according to dhacker Motorola said they would release the code after all devices get the update, but I don't have a source for that.
But, I saw someone in their sourceforge saying that they will release the source in github "In a week or so", though. This was six days ago.
However, I can't verify if he is a legit motorola employee or not.

Confirmed legit Motorola employee. He was a contact that krystianp and others over on the Atrix 4G used as a springboard to get assistance on the 3.1.10 kernel that they have for their 4.0 and up ROMs.

At Motorola Owner's Forum. I have been registered for long time because I have always used Moto phones but this was the first time someone contacted me via this forum. First I received and completed Survey about Test drive for new software and now, almost a month after HERE IT COMES...
If you haven't completed survey I think you can't receive this invitation any more..

I don't know if O2 is the reason fot not receiving survey and invitation but i know for a fact that retail roms did receive the email (mine is France CEE, 2 friends have DE Retail). You could try to flash Retail.DE and see what will happen...

update did run in CWM automaticaly, CWM complained a bit

I can confirm that other people have confirmed that the update seems to be confirmed.
Summary: I think we can safely assume that the UK Retail update is out, without further confirmation :laugh::laugh:

Are you sure about this confirmation though? Confirming because I can confirm that the XDA confirmations are to be taken seriously confirmed.

Is it confirmed that following the confirmation that this update fixes SD card issues, that it's fixed…?
Would just like confirmation on that before I buy a 4G

I've updated today to 4.4.4 and I can confirm that the SD card bug is fixed. My class 10 card works now, before the update it didn't work. I bought my Moto G at Amazon France

Anyone on here with Virgin Media? Since the update connection keeps dropping with the superhub 2. Only workaround is to disable Wifi optimisation.

I Received the update on my Moto G XT1032 (8gb 3g) but it seems to have some problems with twrp. When i select to install the update, the phone reboots and the twrp get started but the update procedure won't go automatically.
Any suggestion?

You need to return to stock recovery and try ota update.

does a single stock-recovery file exist, or an entire stock-rom flash is needed?

4.4.4 update kill wma play files. I will must convert all my wma ringtones to mp3. Why?

Stock, Rooted here, Update will not apply because i removed some stock apps a while ago and the update wants to verify books.apk but its not there.
Also my very first nandroid backup was done after i removed it grrrrr

I had the same issue at first. One day later everything was fine. Maybe it was the router... Who knows.[emoji103]

I just flashed central Europe 1 lollipop for the 611 WiFi with xperia firm and flashtool. Doesn't break anything as you're using an official firmware.

Where did you find the files for lollipop? How do you know if your device is fine for the update as well?

Couldn't wait anymore for the update.
First, I downloaded the firmware with XperiaFirm, a tool available here at XDA. The French and UK firmwares are still on Kitkat so I downloaded the BLX version.
Then I followed this guide.

See the post above for infor on getting files. On the Xperia firm software you select your model number and then you can select your region. Any is ok really if its just the WiFi version you need.

lolliopop udate uk
Downloaded today. Had to connect to PC though as didn't like download via WiFi.?

Lollipop came out this afternoon, took around 10 attempts to download it but I got there. It was around 590ish megabytes download size. It doesn't appear as smooth as KitKat I've noticed. I'll wait to see how it is after a few days. If its still crap I'll stick KitKat back on if there is a way.

downloaded to mine and it pretty much bricked the thing. I can get into my home page but there is no response from swiping and once the screen switches itself off I can then only reboot (which still brings me back to the home page where I can't do anything). Can't get into recovery mode either.
Any tips?

there is absolutely no news from a single Indian user about receiving the OTA! but since the news about the update was from official website, we could expect it today! o else we have to wait for David to announce the rollout!

They will sell MM updated G3 for now, rest will get OTA later I think.

well you have to be completely stock! which means stock recovery! no root! plus locked bootloader! then you'll be fine with the OTA! ?

well might be if you say so! not sure about OTA when bootloader is unlocked! I had it locked in my previous phone (Xperia SP) just to make sure nothing went wrong! the person concerned please verify before going ahead!

I am not aware of how different moto g3 is from moto g2 development! but in G2 I could relock the bootloader! actually you can! but note that relocking the bootloader will help you a full proof to get an OTA! but won't give you your warranty back!

Locked bootloader is not required for successful OTA update.
It is essential to ensure correct finger print of the system which means unrooted stock firmware, stock recovery. Flashing stock firmware procedure is provided in a different thread. Be careful to flash firmware made for your device.

I would wait for @hsbadr do a safe upgrade otherwise updating bootloader could patch the xploit recently discover.... Some guys could lose everything by this point

Definitely agree. I'll stick on Paul until it's proven safe to upgrade to mm. I don't even care if it's a stock mm rom. As long as I keep my bootloader unlocked.

Just showed up on both my wife and my note 4. Waiting to find out if we can still obtain root before taking it though. I'd really prefer the official marshmellow combined with Cyanogenmod.

Just downloaded and installed. All the icons are yucky now. My phone was fully stock so did not have the same concerns as some of you with regards to boot loader et all. Location is Boston. Seems ok so far other than the yucky icons.

I'm in eastern NC and still nothing. I'm OK with that though as I hope some of you will be the guinea pigs and see if there is any issues with it before I install it

I want to make sure we can still unlock the phone. We should be able to get a complete CM13 now if the bootloader can still obtain perm unlock and we have perm root.
I haven't seen any new phone released since our Note 4s that delivers every feature I want plus more, so I'm planning on sticking with our note 4s for some time to come.
