You are in the wrong forum, go to the Note 3 Sprint forum for more information.
The official Note 3 xda forum can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint
There is nothing that can reset the knox issue since the issue is not software
related but it's in the actual hardware of the phone.
Good luck!

@ OP Please get this thread deleted/ change title to Exynos or remove the attached file as this is only for Exynos users and wont work on Snapdragon so it's advisable not to mention anything which might lead someone with a bricked device. The file attached is an official bootloader for Exynos for resetting Knox I checked those files and it contains Sboot.bin which is only meant to run over an Exynos Note 3 and Snapdragon uses Aboot, anyone here getting attracted to the title please ignore it as this is not meant to be done except on Exynos Note 3! Thank you!

You want to know what's funny? If you search on here for "rooting Note 3" ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=315874282
... this is the very first thread that comes up.
Most of the other hits you get aren't all that helpful either, except maybe the "Root with Root De La Vega" thread, but that's a little advanced for someone who's never rooted the Note 3 before. I rooted my original Note, and it seems a little advanced to me ...
Knox is new to me too ... Do I really have to worry about tripping it?

Dude - really?
1. You're on the N9005 forums - get your sh*t together and don't provide false information based on experience on another device - THIS IS THE SOLE REASON WHY EVERYONE TRIPS KNOX WITHOUT KNOWING ABOUT KNOX DURING ROOT - listening to the wrong people, trusting the wrong people and thinking that you know everything.
2. If you want to go talk about bootloaders go elsewhere, as this is an N9005 forum, we have NO bootloader locks to worry about.
3. ASOP 4.4.4 == AOSP 4.4.4. It's called a typo. You don't need to know the ROM name to understand that it is a typo. Even simple logic would get you to this conclusion.
4. If you want to help, provide correct information, instead of misleading already mislead users - and then trying to correct a person on the forums who's been writing guides and tutorials and fixes for this device all day long - while answering dozens of Google+ queries about rooting Note 3 or flashing stock.
So please, if you want to provide useful information, don't be one of those people who runs around thinking they know everything when in fact a) everything is unrelated in all your posts and b) proving yourself "right" but still showing that you lack all sorts of knowledge of the matter of fact.
If you still think you're helping positively, I'd like to see the first case of a person locking their N9005 bootloader for fun - make a video about it too while you're at it, I'd love to sit and watch.
@tobia996 - Follow my post above and you'll get to stock, without all this bootloader lock nonsense. N9005 all have an unlocked bootloader, whatever this guy said just don't even let it bat an eye.

Galaxy Note 3 first time rooter
Hi everyone, newcomer here. Thanks for providing this community to help people out and thanks to Chainfire for making CF-Auto-Root.
I have a Galaxy Note 3, and I've never rooted before because I really like Touchwiz and the useful features it provides. I've read the main post for CF-Auto-Root, so I understand this is supposed to be the easiest root method that's supposed to retain stock Touchwiz and nothing more.
Before I take the plunge, I just wanted to clarify my understanding to make sure I really do want to go ahead with rooting my Note.
1. When you say CF auto root is rooting my phone, does that mean it's just achieving a "state of being" with the phone, and not really installing or modifying anything else with Touchwiz (besides SuperSU)? As in, everything is the same as before, Touchwiz is the same as before, and the only thing different is that I've gained permission to access more things in the software?
2. My understanding is that I shouldn't lose any data, apps, home screen app layouts, etc?
3. Will I lose any functionality in Touchwiz? Like S-Pen features, Samsung apps, etc?
4. If I receive an update to 4.4.4 or 5.0, will I lose this cf-auto-root state?
Thanks everyone for helping out!

CF-Auto-Root flashes custom recovery, which installs the su binary and SuperSU application and then sets back the default stock recovery. Everything else remains unchanged, including TouchWiz.

Most likely, though there is a chance, that su binary will not be removed, in that case you keep the root.

I know XDA is a reputable site, so I don't have to worry as much, but I know that theoretically speaking, downloading things outside of the official Android app store poses a risk for being malware or spyware.
So I'm only asking this in the spirit of just practicing utmost caution, how would I know that the CF-Auto-Root file, which can be found through the link below, is genuine and untampered with?

[Q] General inquiry about KNOX and FW types

Hello all,
I searched the forums round and round, and couldn't find my answers so I hope you will be able to help me out.
i'm looking for a new phone and decided I want to go with the S5. that was before i learned about KNOX and it's wonderful ways.
i'm a heavy modder, who will most definitely use a custom recovery and ROM/kernel.
my questions are:
1. would it be possible to flash a custom recovery / rom / kernel / modem despite KNOX being preset?
2. other then getting this 0x1 and voiding my official warranty, are there any other result to this? will something not work?
3. assuming I get an unlocked international phone, is there any need to mess/change my FW? or is that just part of guides for rooting without tripping KNOX ?
Basically, I want to be sure that I could do whatever I want to the phone without getting stuck or turning it unusable because of KNOX. my current phone is a Nexus 4 and it has been heaven. I want to preserve this feeling
thanks for the help guys, appreciate it!
Did you tried Towelroot method for rooting your device? I heard that doesn't trigger knox..
I would imagine my rooting the phone is the least of my worries.
as far as I know - and this is one of my questions - flashing a custom recovery and or rom will 100% trip KNOX.
not that I care, I just need to know if this is true..and my other questions as well
thanks!
A brief answer
If you - as you say "i'm a heavy modder" Samsung phones are not for you
I've heard tales of people having issues flashing modems when knox is triggered. I have not checked that out for myself Joe have I searched any further into the matter.
I plan on breaking knox soon though because screw knox.

This answer really worries me to be honest.
could you elaborate?
I don't really care about KNOX, and as long as I can mod away and jump back and forth between modems/roms/kernels - I don't care for the warranty.
If indeed there is truth in the matter, and modem flashing will become a problem if KNOX is tripped, then this would be a deal breaker for me on this phone.
anyone care to add more info here?

No, KNOX tripping is only at the moment a warranty void solution for samsung. its like the flash count flags.
basically if you trip knox. you're already in it. you do what you want

Exactly, but with full stock image flush (including bootloader). The full stock tar.md5 form sammobile includes the modem/bootloader/rom. I think that the important thing is to have a modem which is compatible with the bootloader (same version). Didn't try to mix different bootloader/modem(baseband) versions.
Tripping KNOX will only disable the feature which allows you to store some data on a encrypted part of the device (Mostly comercial use) when KNOX is tripped any data stored on the 'special' partition is destroyed.
So there are only 2 things that will be affected, your warranty (Not a problem in Europe) and the special partition that I explained earlier.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active - CM12 issues

Hey Guys,
I'm trying to get the CM12 klte ROM of the S5 on my S5 Active but I'm having some trouble at one of the steps. Maybe someone can help?
I've followed this guide
wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_klte
I'm got all the way up to step 10 of installing a custom recovery but when I try and boot to recovery using UP VOL/HOME/POWER, it says...
could not do normal boot
odin mode
Product name: SM G870W
Current Binary: custom
System Reset: official
Reactivation Lock (kk): off
knox warranty void: 0x1 (4)
...
It's as if the custom recovery ROM doesn't work or was never loaded although all previous steps indicated that it did.
Any ideas?
Dammmnn will anyone fricking help here ?
Helping s5 active users doesn't hurt tall know.

Sure. Questions about sm-g870w phones or s5 active in general even worst Canadian one. Are never answered we can't get help and we can't get our own section. So asking me to wait!!!! Yeah I have too but instead of asking me to just wait read all threads.
And see if there's any help. Oh and I swear I've been waiting. S6 is out. Lollipop is out. And since we can't get our own section there's no way to accualy get help. Specific to us.
