After installing each of the following: Focus rev1.4 ROM v1.3, ROM v2.0, ROM v2.2, my focus constantly keeps freezing at the Windows Phone logo loading screen. I don't know what to do. And sometimes it comes up with a message saying the storage card isn't compatible and I have to turn my phone off, remove it and turn it back on again and then it just still freezes at the Windows Phone logo loading screen. Any help would be much appreciated, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

Well it's kinda old and doesn't hold a charge longer than a day. It's the same battery I got with the phone when it came out. But is that really what would be causing it?

I'm not saying that's it but it's worth checking. Beats the alternative, search custom rom and stuck at logo you'll see what I mean.

So, now it never freezes, it always keeps saying Memory Card Not Working. Is this completely due to my bad battery? You think ATT will let me test another one of their battery's to see if thats the problem.

Hi
Quick question I've tried about 5 different roms and they all have the same problem. Turn the phone off plug in to charge and a few minutes later the phone will turn itself on and boot!
Does anybody know of an aokp/aosp rom for the international d802 that stays switched off whilst charging?
Thanks
John

Are you afraid of electro smog? If you aren't and if you don't find a rom after your wishes just turn on airplane mode when you charge. Use tasker of similar to automate this.
I hadn't even thought about airplane mode TBH. Is it an inherant fault with all AOSP based roms ?
Does anyone know of an AOSP rom that stays off whilst charging ?

Mainly habit and to stop pesky gmails arriving overnight!

Well there was a thread that was going, but the OP decided to post warez links and it got closed. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2601850
I made an app with Tasker App Factory that does what the original post explains in a video (http://m.androidauthority.com/moto-x-green-notification-331710/), for those that don't have/want Tasker.
This is the first time I've shared anything that I've made in Tasker, and I can't say why it has some of the permissions it does, honestly. If anyone cna elaborate on why it does has those default permissions, that'd be great.
DISCLAIMER: As I stated above, this is my first app. I tested it on my Verizon Moto Maker edition Moto X that is rooted on 4.4. I take no responsibility for what happens to your phone or anything you do with this app. It worked fine for me, but I make no promises it will work for you.
Latest Version: https://copy.com/uUWpwXnGdJXpPIC
- Latest one adds in a few more options for how the light is displayed, and a brightness setting.
Original Version: https://copy.com/9w9TlRH2yt3L3BC
Install, run, and accept the root request (root is needed for the shell command, just as it is in the Tasker profile). It will also run the command when you boot, and starts working a few seconds after the phone turns on.
Note: If you decide you don't like it and uninstall the app, you will probably need to reboot after uninstalling to disable the LED.
Hopefully someone finds this useful. I personally don't care for it, but I like making stuff in Tasker and thought I'd give it a shot.
I just installed this. It works very well, thank you.
Installed and works. But isnt it supposed to switch off the light once the phone is charged?

It is set to display the LED when it is charging or full. When I get a few minutes I can update with other options.
I updated OP with a new link, newer version with more options.
very cool! Thanks!!!! Seems to be working just fine.
If you plan to add anything, a slow fade on and off would be a nice addition as well!

I don't know of a way to change the behavior of the LED other than what's there. It can only do things defined by the system software at this point. If anything else becomes available, I'll see about updating it.

I have no idea. I referenced it in the first post. Tasker seems to have that for all apps and I couldn't remove it. I have a lock screen PIN on my phone and it is not disabled by the app.

Yes root is required to run the shell command.
I don't think I would bother with this for normal use however if someone stuffs a wireless charging coil inside the phone then I think it becomes very useful.
Still waiting for my coil to arrive before I crack into a phone.

Yeah I'm still undecided. I like it with the brightness nearly all the way down, like below 10. It's subtle but I can still find my phone in the dark when next to my bed (the active display shuts off from 12am-7am).
With the new update its useful to know that your battery is fully charged once the led has shut off. There is no other way to know with this phone unless you turn the screen on

Also true. Someone posted that one of the options was to blink while charging and stay solid when it gets full, but it doesn't seem to work properly. It just blinks until it's full and then shuts off, from what I read. If they find a way to fix it I'll add it in.

Q&A for [AOSPA][4.4.4][OFFICIAL][28 SEP] ParanoidAndroid 4.6 Beta 2
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer. Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Hangs and reboots
Sometimes using the device it gets hanged or get stucked and takes a reboot to get working again....any suggestion for this i am on latest PA 4.6 beta 4..??
NBruderman , battery drains so fast even with greenify. Have you noticed this?
And I can't get Cast Screen to work with my Samsung TV.
More features?
I know it might not be what this rom is about, but will it ever get more features? (at least the cm11 features)
I love this rom, and it's super smooth, but it's a bit boring on features
Hi,
Just to ask, for ParanoidAndroid 4.6 Beta 2, the Chinese language input method (traditional or simplified) is not supported? I can't find them in the language input method list. I used to use both English and Chinese. I only find the Chinese language in the language display option. If don't have, may will have to switch to other ROMs Any way to add it? Thanks!
cheers
Wi-Fi & status bar Problem (PA 4.6 BETA 5)
The phone doesnt remember the wifi password of any network after a reboot.
Everytime i need to input the password as if it was the first time my phone was connecting to the network.
Also the settings for status bar "Dynamic status bar" doesnt work after the first reboot after a fresh flash of the rom.
Thanks so much for this rom. I just upgraded from 4.5 Beta 4, and its smooth!
what about battery life upload some screenshots guys
Is the wifi password issue a thing of the past?
Been using 4.6 Beta 5 for a few days, currently have issue with
wifi password lose after restart
battery drain
when charging switched off, can't switch on the phone, holding the power button only keep showing old samsung battery indicator
Insane battety usage
Hello there. I have some insane battery drain issues. I went 100 - 0 in 3 hours and the phone is overheating all the time near the camera, even if left untouched.
I was using MIUI before flashing this ROM (beta 5), maybe that is the issue?
Extremely slow charging issue.
This was the first ROM that I installed on my i9500, and these were the issues that I encountered:
- After every reboot, the phone will forget the wifi password. I have to enter the password everytime I reboot the phone.
- The phone charges extremely slowly, I tried using a 1Amp charger (HTC) and then a 2 Amp Charger (Samsung) but it's really slow in both the cases.
- Battery life was terrible.
Due to the reasons mentioned above, I downgraded to Paranoid Android Version 4.5 Beta 4. This one doesn't have the wifi issue that I mentioned, and the battery life is as good as it was on TouchWiz (4.4) ROM. But the slow charging issue persists. Does the charging issue has anything to do with the Kernel? can someone suggest how to possibly fix this?
I don't want to go back to TouchWiz because of the terrible experience.
settings?
I have a quick question and sorry if this is stupid but I just wanted to know does this rom support the hybrid DPI settings and customizations the other Paranoid Android roms do because I can't find the Paranoid Android settings apk anywhere. Thank you

I did try changing the chargers, cables and that is not an issue.
I gave up on Paranoid Android, and installed GearCM (Optimized cyanogen Mod). In that rom, charging worked at a normal rate but the camera wouldn't work. The camera app would always says "can't connect to the camera". I tried different camera apps, rebooted the phone, etc, but I couldn't fix the camera issue. Then from within GearCM, I updated to CM11 nightly, but that too had the camera issue. I still tried one more time to get some custom ROM, so I installed WanamLite ROM. But, in wanamlite, the playstore wouldn't download any apps or update any apps.
I tried 4 ROMS, and all ROMS had some issues. I am tired of this now. So right now I am downloading the stock firmware for this phone.
Thanks for your help, Deepankar.

Can't turn on when charging

Hello fellow xders, I have a problem with my nexus 4, I've tried almost everything but nothing really works, let me tell you the previous build when it's working normally.
When working:
*Unlocked & rooted.
Rom: CM 13 Rom nightly build
Kernel: CM 13 stock Kernel
Recovery: TWRP 2.8
Everything works fine for some months until 2 days ago I tried my nexus for VR using Google Cardboard that I bought online.
After using it, my phone starts turning off by itself randomly, and now I can't even boot to my rom without my charger plugged in.
I've wipe everything, using my new TWRP 3, I mean everything, even my internal storage, but the phone still won't work without the charger plugged in.
So i thought, maybe it's the battery. Please note that my phone never had any problems before, I mean ever.
So i thought battery is the problem, but turns out I can boot to my recovery rom all the time without a problem, the phone turn off by itself only when I tried to install the new CM13 rom, the same thing happened when I tried install another rom.
Does anyone ever have this kind of problem before, i really need help, thanks.

No, it's not turned on like usual. and when i tried to do "Data Format" in TWRP 3.0, it gives an Error, something like /dev error 255, i don't remember the whole line.
It's probably something to do with the memory card error perhaps? What do you think?
Now I downgraded back my phone to stock condition, i unrooted everything, even locked my bootloader back.
Now i'm using stock android 5.1.1, with factory settings, here's some condition I noticed with stock factory settings:
1. I still can't boot properly to my stock rom without the charging cable plugged in. It only shows boot animations for a while and suddenly phone turned off by itself.
2. I can boot into the stock rom with my charger cable plugged in, and after I get inside the stock rom, I can unplugged the cable and everything seems to work normally. So I don't think it's battery problem.
3. I think the problem has something to do with the boot sequence / internal memory / internal memory partition / block, cmiiw
Please help me, I don't know why things go like this after using VR cardboard, I wonder if it's the cause.
Thanks a lot for your reply, sorry for my bad english

and it's probably caused by the accelometer, it's just my hunch, but when I changed my ROM to CM13, my phone won't auto rotate automatically. probably the CM 13 kernel didn't handle the accelometer correctly. and when I use it for 360 video which use accelometer rigorously, it makes the accelometer worked too hard or something, or the cm 13 kernel didn't handle it correctly and it affect my whole hardware. it's just shooting in the dark, but i hope it helps you with more information a little bit.

i haven't tried using it for the whole day, but for the past 2 hours it works fine without charging. the drained percentage is also very small, because i don't have many apps installed yet, and i didn't even use cellular data connection. but for phone call or sms it's working perfectly without any problem

Wow, this is strange and it does appear that the battery is fine. I don't know what else to suggest as you did everything I would have done.

Hmm, never tried to recalibrate an accelerometer.
I have the same problem, the device just works plugged in charger. I read some threads and the problem in all thread are solved with a battery replacement.
Yep, I'm afraid this is indeed a battery problem. Had the same issue with mine Nexus, it worked as usual, then it suddenly went off and didn't want to boot again without the charger plugged in. Worked perfectly in a recovery, though. Replacing the battery fixed the problem.

No, but my Nexus have this issue just recently. A service shop says this is a motherboard issue, I hope isn't. The devive has exactly the same problem in this thread, and I read others similar threads and all were solved changing the battery.
(Sorry for my imperfect English, I not speak english naturally)
I wouldn't trust a repair shop to properly diagnose the issue as it was really only discovered from trial and error.
Batteries should be cheap and fix the issue. either at a repair store if that's what you tell them to do or do it yourself
One question: Should my phone be with the stock rom when the battery is changed? Have any relation or possible problem if another rom is installed?
