Hi
Quick question I've tried about 5 different roms and they all have the same problem. Turn the phone off plug in to charge and a few minutes later the phone will turn itself on and boot!
Does anybody know of an aokp/aosp rom for the international d802 that stays switched off whilst charging?
Thanks
John

Are you afraid of electro smog? If you aren't and if you don't find a rom after your wishes just turn on airplane mode when you charge. Use tasker of similar to automate this.
I hadn't even thought about airplane mode TBH. Is it an inherant fault with all AOSP based roms ?
Does anyone know of an AOSP rom that stays off whilst charging ?
Just me being curious but why turn off the phone?

Hi guys,
since when i installed Cyanogenmod for 2.3.3 and now for 2.3.4, if i switch off the phone and plug it for recharge, the phone restarts and so i remains switched on. this is quite annoying when charging by night. i can put it in flight mode, but what is the sense in that?
do you also have my same issue?
thanks!
Setting> Applications >Development > If Stay awake is ticked, that ur problem. If not I dont know.
if I'm not mistaken, only 2.1 and 1.6 roms can charge with phone off.

If I remember rightly, Mur4ik said that he may implement this when SwiftDroid is actually finished, as he doesn't want to waste time on this, when it can be used for SwiftDroid.

[Q] I'm using a Octa-Core Galaxy S4, ramdonly heats up and Battery Drain from "Media"
Hi, im currently using the galaxy sy i9500, and it was great for a first few days. Then started around 3 days ago, BAtrery started draining very fast, and my phone would randomly heats up, i can feel it from my pocket. And my bettery would go from 70% to like 50% in and hour without doing anything with it. i Disabled all the features, air view, smart scorll etc etc. I even enable the power saver mode which did not help at all. Anyone have an idea on whats going on? (see pics)
You are not the only one experiencing such problems.
1st of all make sure you have updated to latest software version. Then try to disable from the app manager: Samsung push, samsung apps along with google music play service (media has been draining your battery the most)
Are you also experiencing lag and difficult camera access?
If none of those worked maybe try to do a factory data reset or try flashing a stock firmware via ODIN.

go to developer option and turn off windows animation
then in developer option > apps section > check don't keep activities
if it doesn't help u then try to flash another firmware or kernel

Most people seem to have the over heating problem when there is a corrupt file on the sd card. Try removing the card and seeing if that helps you.

Hello everyone, I have recently puchased a Q on Ebay and am surprised to see no on/off button or method to turn on the device. I can power it down using the CM 10.1 rom, but no apparent way to turn on the device??? Has anybody figured out a way just to turn on the device other than just plugging it in? Thx in advance.

nope We are hoping the new rom being built by a dev on here may have a sleep on and off function via the pause function.

Thx, at least we know it's being worked on.
any viable solution for this yet? I only turn it off because the blue ring at night is bright
any progress on this? The new unofficial CM11 4.4.4 ROM is out for the Nexus Q and it's very stable very smooth. Im reading this forum, replying and listening to TuneIn Radio at the same time
Hello I'm not new here or to anything root yet I have a problem.
My phone is an S4 i9505 running 4.4.2 Kitkat with the rom being the latest cyanogenmod 11 and when the battery is low I turn it off and plug it in.
This is where the problem begins, When plugged in it should show the battery icon for charging or at least the light but instead it shows the loading battery icon and never changes, forcing me to turn it on to charge. I only turn off my phone when it needs to be charged, but I don't want to haft to turn it on to charge.
If there is a thread for this please post the link and feel free to call me a noob.
It's possible that it's not implemented yet in the rom. It's a work in progress.

Then what would you suggest?
Besides coding it yourself? Switching to a rom that does support it.

what exactly is this feature called?
So I'm on a ported s6 rom (aurora) for note 3 (n900w8).
I've been noticing this problem, where a phone call would come, but no vibration with it even though the mode was set as vibration mode.
I have missed many phone calls because of this.
At first I thought I simply failed to notice the vibration, but yesterday I witnessed it not vibrating during the incoming phone call. Screen comes on, incoming call screen pops, but no vibration.
This problem persisted ever since lollipop (I think). Had the same problem in the previous roms (other note 3 lollipop roms).
Oh and it happens when the phone is in idle. If a phone call comes while i'm using the phone, it vibrates just fine.
So I was suspecting it might be blocked wakelock or alarm issue. But then again, the only app i'm using for that purpose is Servicely (by chainfire), and I only have a couple apps checked (ie. facebook, google play services, keep, mega, supersu...etc).
TW 5.0.2.
No xposed framework installed.
Rooted/deodexed.
Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any fixes? Help plz. This is starting to bother me a lot...
anybody at all ?
Well as long as the vibrating motor is okay I don't think there is much to think. You are on a ported ROM, so some bugs are to be expected. If you were experiencing the same on an official 5.0 ROM that would be bothering, but as its not you should ask about this in that ROM's thread.
Do you have enabled the power saving option? If yes, try to deactivate it and see if it still not working.
Flash an official rom.
'Ported' Roms are usually very poorly done, as they are meant for other devices.
