I have a Nook Color running CM10.2 and and I'm looking to flash CM11, but this thread says that I need an updated recovery (ClockworkMod 6.0.3.6 and newer). I can't find that version of CWM anywhere. Can anyone help me find it?
Thanks!

Look here for 6.0.4.7 encore CWM recover.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50438687
One is for normal recovery and the other is for ALT recovery. There are also Touch versions.

Hi guys, i searched but didn't find the problem I'm having...
It's about the cm9 4.0.3 rom, it is great!
But now I'm trying to install the 4.0.4 build, but I keep getting stuck on the not working bootstrap...
I've tried to root the cell again and install the bootstrap but it seems that it doesn't affect the boot, everytime my phone boots directs to the cyanogenmod... =/
CM9 is already rooted and have CWM, so why do you installing bootstrap?
Cause when I power up with the vol - and camera buttons, i try to install from zip and the cm9 4.0.4 get an error while updating (it's not the zip cause i tried to use it before without errors).
How can I proceed?
What is your CWM version?
What error exactly are you getting?
Do not install bootstrap. It is nonsense, since it contain the lowest available version of CWM for M2. You have surely higher version of CWM now.
Thanks for the help, but I can't verify that now.
Tonight I'll check the cmw version and try to install cm9 4.0.4 again.
Then I'll post here again. ^^

I didn`t know the cm9 already have a CWM, how can I boot in it?
The x button boot goes to the android recovery mode (3e) only.
I did read from another thread here.
To get to the cm9 recovery mode I had to select VOL DOWN then choose Custom Recovery.
I swear that I didn't know that, all the installation tutorials use a bootmenu zip to install and then reboot to these recovery mode and CWM.... :S
The CWM version now is 5.0.3.2.
Can I try to install CM9 4.0.4 from here?
Yes. CWM 5.0.3.2 is totally fine for installing CM9.
I've seen some roms posting about cwm but I don't have it. I am rooted running khanning's AOSP rom but i wan to flash the cm10 port. When I go into rom manager it recognizes my ideapad as a Transformer so I can't flash clockworkmod recovery there. Is there another place to download it?
If you're using khanning's AOSP rooted rom you already have cwm recovery.
Read 1st post on that thread and he has explained how to get to cwm recovery.
Don't install any other cwm recovery unless you know and are sure about what you're doing. You might brick your device.
install cwm recovery image for IdeaPad K1

I think you need to nvflash to install cwm recovery image first, then use khanning's AOSP CMW Rom.
the link posted by khanning for K1_CWM_120109_Rooted_nvflash_R2.zip is no longer working. does anyone have a refresh link?

Hello friends,
I have rooted Galaxy i9505 international. Installed CWM based recovery 6.0.3.2(0611), and flashed last stable CM (cm-10.2.1-jfltexx).
Boot time have become longer (way longer) since installing CWM based recovery.
Couldn't find a decent post about how to:
1) Revert back to stock recovery.
or
2) Change the CWM based recovery to official CWM.
Anyone know how to do either?
Or maybe had the same problem with CWM based recovery?

Did you consider trying a different recovery (PhilZ) or a different ROM?
Look for a recovery you want to try if its a zip file flash it with CWM and if its odin file flash it with odin.

The latest CM snapshot booted a bit faster.
Actually after all those attempts I can't really remember how long did it take to boot before installing CWM..
But it does seems slower.

I prefer to flash the original CWM.
How can I flash it on top of the CWM based recovery?
Files there are img files.
Look in xda development section you will find it zip format or i think you can download a zip file of another recovery and the replace the recovery within the zip file with the one you want to flash.
If you want to flash it in .img format you can do that with heimdall but you will need the pit file of 19505 too.

Could not find any ZIP of the official Clockworkmod Recovery.
Is there any other way to install it?
Or better yet, a way to revert to stock recovery (from there I can install as in the beginning)?
Btw, is it ok to just replace recovery? Or should I "uninstall" my old recovery before installing the new one?

Downloaded, flashed and now have ClockworkMod 6.0.4.7
Thank you.
Just for future knowledge, does anyone knows how to revert to stock recovery?

Hi,
You will get stock recovery if you flash a stock firmware.
There are also some stock recoveries listed HERE

I have a rooted nook with an older version of CWM I would like to update to the latest firmware. I went to Clockworkmod's site and CWM recovery is not listed for the NOOK Color. Where can I get the latest CWM recovery?

Quick question - I rooted my Nook Color to CM7 eons ago and it works fine, however I want to load Kit Kat on there now. Can I simply get the CM11 image and use the ancient version of CWM that I first put on it years back? Or will I need to upgrade my CWM to something more current to load the newer Kitkat kernels?

You will need to use CWM 6.0.4.7 for cm11 nightlies prior to 5/16/14. Use CWM 6.0.4.8 for cm 11 nightlies after 5/16/14.

Great, thanks. As my CWM is so old (maybe 3.x?), is that just a matter of: install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard ?

Before proceeding make a backup using CWM.
Download the appropriate CWM (e.g. for CM11 Snapshot M6 use CWM 6.0.4.7 & for CM11 5/17/14 nightly use 6.0.4.8).
Boot into current recovery.
Install zip
Choose zip to install
Reboot.
Should now see CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.7 or 6.0.4.8
Ok, that's what I was hoping. Thanks.

No. It needs to be earlier than v6045. I have v5504 and v6012 on my NC tips thread linked in my signature.
