[Q] Using nexus 7 screen as monitor - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Nexus (2012) with a broken digitizer but the screen works fine. I was wondering if it were possible to take the device apart and get some sort of adapter to connect the lcd via HDMI to my PC?

Random chinese MicroUSB to Ethernet (need some guidance)

I purchased a couple cheap ebay chinese MicroUSB to Ethernet adapters. They work fine on my Nexus 5 phone (stock) although slow. On my Nexus 7 (2013) they don't work, the light on the adapter flashes like it's sending/receiving packets, but nothing works on the tablet,
and same with the Nexus Player. I tried installing purenexus as others with adapters have had success but no change for me. The light flickers, but nothing on screen.
It does seem like it's connecting from my router.

Note 3 screen mirroring

Is it possible to screen mirror a note 3:s screen to a pc without usb debugging? I have one with a busted lcd and I have tried a mhl to hdmi adapter, without succés. Is it possible to mirror the screen without doing ANYTHING on the phone?

Using Nexus 4 with broken screen

I have two N4s. One had a broken screen and the other day I dropped the other one and broke that screen too.
Both will turn on but I cannot type in the passcodes to unlock the screens, let alone anything else.
I'm SURE that a few years ago I was able to enter the passcode into the original broken one and then navigate it using a mouse. However, I've not been able to get this to work recently.
I have a Y-type USB OTG cable i.e. it plugs into power, and the phone, and has a port for a peripheral. But neither a cheap usb mouse nor my logitech wireless receiver/mouse work.
Is anyone able to suggest anything?
Thanks!
