I sent my TF300 back to the motherland the beginning of Feb as the bootloader unlock app did not work. The 'network' error. Got it back quickly but nothing was done. Sent it off again and they have had it since the 21st of Feb. The online complaint form generated a form letter. I have called twice and have been 'accelerated' to find out what is taking so long. 5 weeks and counting.
No more ASUS products for me.

If I were you I would have first asked help from us if you cant unlock your bootloader.
It's always the last option for me to RMA the device because you can assume that it will take long if you have to mail it over borders.
When your tab comes back unlocked or not, I think you will get your answer from here.

Thanks for your post. It is my understanding from researching this forum that the ONLY way to unlock the bootloader is to use the ASUS app. I would not have sent it off if I could have had an alternative. Even if it needed a screwdriver and solder. If there is an alternative to RMA, I would love to hear it but I am pretty sure there isn't one.

There must be a way because I remember having the same problem with that network error with ASUS app, wish I could remember how I got my bootloader unlocked then...
Looks like Asus site has 2 versions of this Unlock app: One for 4.2 and the second is for 4.0 and 4.1.
You tried with the correct version? If you were already on 4.2 have you tried downgrading to 4.1 or 4.0 to make it happen?
I researched here pretty thoroughly and the consensus is that there is only one way to unlock the bootloader.
I was actually on the phone with support trying to do it live after a downgrade to 4.1 and several factory resets. No go. That's when they had me send it in the first time. I called again this morning and they still have no answer as to the issue and even if it has been addressed.
Kit
Update.... I have contacted ASUS a total of 8 times since they have had the pad back on 2/21. SIX WEEKS! I have been 'escalated' each time... whatever the hell that means. No returned calls or emails. Today they could not find anyone who would know anything about my pad. I was told this was "unacceptable". I asked what that meant and was answered with silence. I was then told I would receive a call within 24 hrs.
If it is lost and they send me a brand new one, it is going on eBay and I will get a Samsung.
You have been warned.
Kit
So, after many phone calls and 'escalations', I just got my pad back. Was the problem solved? No.
I live in Italy.
I sent it to ASUS technical support my tablet still under warranty.
In the package I sent was:
The tablet unlocked
The charging cable is not working
The SSD with differenti custom Rom .......I forgot to take it off.
In the first e-mail I receive is written that the tablet can not be repaired because it is unlocked.
I respond by writing my disappointment, even on the official facebook page and also on the phone.
My disappointment, gentle, lay in the fact that I had not sent the tablet for a burnt CPU (which could be consistent with an overclocked kernel) but because the display was damaged at the origin.
After some days I get the tablet unlocked with an old stock ROM, repaired, with a new charging cable, with the SSD in a bag.
Education, properly speaking, sometimes you can achieve the solution.
Good luck to you all.

Hello I also have a very similar problem (as explained here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2773429)but when I tried to send it in for service they said they would charge me money for my unlocked bootloader! Now I've put a doubt: perhaps I was wrong to tell them it was unlocked! Then about how long you waited before you solve them?

Hello, I have told them my point of view after they have written to me that they wanted the money to repair, both on facebook and on the phone.
Then I replied to the email rma, saying that I wanted the tablet back unrepaired.
I do not know why, maybe because I told him that I would not have bought Asus products, perhaps because I have been convincing, perhaps because I feel sorry ................... luckily came back repaired ............. something moved, they ignored my request to return the tablet is not repaired!!
Maybe I'm just lucky.

All figured out ... I could not help but tell him that they are "unlocked" ... but then so would be edged with the same (Transformer Service).
I break a lot of wasting time with the assistance I wrote email, facebook and on their website but want money and the fact that by the time everything works ok ... I know that I keep it like that.
Thank you Hello.

Hi all,
This is not so much of a ranting thread (although I am really frustrated), but just a gentle reminder to please check your screen for dust, as well as any other known issues BEFORE rooting. Thankfully, I did that, and my phone had dust under the screen UPON arrival. I got it at 2pm, and returned it to HTC by 5pm.
The other problem is, do remember Google takes no responsibility with hardware related issues. As much as I hate it, find HTC. I had a horrible experience with them, and I just want to share it with the rest of you. Also, I'm from Singapore, just in case.
I got my phone at 2PM from DHL, and was really happy about it (who wouldn't)? I opened it, booted it, and it was really fast. Then I checked the screen. There was not one speck, but at least 5 specks of dust under the screen. I immediately called HTC Singapore's hotline, and it was outsourced to another country (I'm guessing China, cause when they called me back it was +86). I can speak Mandarin, but only barely, and it was really difficult trying to tell them my problem in English. They really tried to help, but the communication barrier proved to be very frustrating. In the end, I was told to go down to HTC Care (at Keppel Bay Tower) to return the phone.
At this point in time, I didn't really want to make a huge fuss or anything. **** happens, I can accept that. All I want now is my phone replaced, as quickly as possible. I reached HTC Care around 4.15PM, but was only served at 5PM. Even worse, the staff at HTC Care Singapore had NO idea what to do with the Nexus One. They told me it was dealt differently from other HTC phones. As a consumer, I seriously do not care. I just want my phone fixed/replaced/whatever. I then waited for 20 minutes while they tried to log into the Nexus One system of theirs or something.
As though that was not bad enough, they had no idea what to collect from me. Some of them said I should return only the phone, while others said the entire box set. In the end, I returned the entire box set. They did not even bother to check the contents inside. Also, the courier service used this time is M3 express instead of DHL, and I was not given any tracking number despite them telling me the order has already been placed.
Also, there were other discrepancies. The phone staff told me to expect it within 3 working days, while HTC Care staff said to expect it within 3 to 5 working days. To be fair to the HTC Care staff, I doubt they were even briefed on what to do with Nexus Ones.
Below is the email I've sent to HTC, although at this point in time I doubt the response will be good:
To whom it may concern:
I placed my order for Nexus One with Google on January 9, and finally got it today, January 15, at 2pm. I understand that weekends are not considered work days, so effectively it took 5 working days to reach, which is reasonable to me.
I opened the Nexus One only to find dust under the screen. Doing a quick search on Google shows that it is a common problem. In fact, I read on some posts that it is considered to be a DOA problem by HTC, as seen from http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=29bc1e80107f01f7&hl=en. The first thing I did was to call the Singapore HTC helpline. I had a hard time communicating with them, but they did their best to help. I was told to go down to HTC Care (Singapore) at Keppel Bay Tower. The person on the phone had also opened a ticket for me.
I reached Keppel Bay Tower at 4.15PM, and was only served at 5pm. The service staff were polite but very unsure of what to do with the Nexus One. Apparently, Nexus Ones are dealt with differently from other HTC phones, though I do not see the point of them informing me of that. I have already accepted that there is dust under the phone and instead of making a big fuss, my main aim is to get my phone replaced on a one-to-one basis since I am still within the 14 days.
Once the staff managed to retrieve my information using the ticket number given to me earlier by the person over the phone, I was told I had to return the phone, but they were unsure whether to collect the phone, or the entire box set. In the end, they collected the entire box set. I had been told to expect it within 3 days by the person over the hotline, but the staff at HTC Care informed me that it was 3 - 5 days.
I am now requesting that you replace the entire box set, and deliver it to me within 3 days. In addition, I would like to know why the courier service used
is M3 Express instead of DHL (which was used when I first got my Nexus One). Moreover, I was not given any tracking number to track the status of my delivery, despite the service staff telling me that the order has already been placed.
I find it disappointing that the service staff had no idea what to do with Nexus One cases. It seems to me that HTC does not care because it is not really HTC's phone and more like Google's phone in this case. I hope you understand where I am coming from. It is my first time dealing with HTC's service, and the experience has been a let down. I have always thought highly of HTC's products since my previous HTC phones were all well-built, and I never had to visit the service centre.
I will appreciate if you could get back to me by Monday.
My ticket number, as well as product serial number are as follows:

Thank you.

bro sad to hear this from you.
I also got my nexus one today and i notice the screen's bottom left and right corners are making loose noise when pressed with some pressure..
so i used some pressure on the problemic areas for 20secs and so far, no more loose noise..
Hopefully it will prevent my unit from dust..
I have been consistantly checking mine as well. This sucks

From what I understand, this is still a problem with a small minority of phones.
People who do not have this problem (as you might have noticed) are not going to be very vocal about not having it.
For the record, I have an N1 and have had zero problems whatsoever, screen or otherwise.

Mine doesn't have it either. If you can't see it, then why is it bothering you? Mine doesn't have jam (jelly if you're in the USA) in it either but I'm not going to keep checking for jam.

its bothering me because I REALLY want to root but REALLY will go out of my mind if I see this problem after rooting (because my warranty will then be long in the void ). So I want to track this problem down now and some how be 100% sure that my phone is safe.
Wow, this dust problem is become quite large. Small quantities doesn't sound like a good enough example of the problem. I don't have my Nexus One yet, but I do hope - that when I get it soon - the newer models (if they are starting to correct the issue) doesn't have this problem.

Well, you either wait for the warranty to expire or you root it before.
If you're really that worried power it off and check it with a magnifying glass. TBH Right now there are 1001 reasons not to root it and only a couple of reasons to root it. Unless there's something you really need/want root for you may as well wait.

I know, I am waiting for now, probably until Cyanogen Mod comes out for N1. However I do not want to wait a year

Theres more to root than apps2sd. For example, Internet tethering is a feature I really want and only possible through root.
Since we're talking about rooting here, I just wanna root to upgrade to un-released Android firmwares, themes, changing things inside the phone that aren't possible stocked. There are lots of reasons to root in my eyes, and I really don't care about the negatives.

There are always alternative. Although not as elegant of a solution, PDAnet allows you to connect your phone to your computer so it can use your data connection. Works pretty well.
as someone who had to unroot and use the warranty on my rooted G1 like 11 months after I got it, I definitely will not root my N1 when I get it unless there is a way to revert to the full factory settings. I'm not a dev but I have faith they will figure it out though.
I woke up to find this thread now has 3 pages of useless conversation :|.
Anyway, if you take a torch and shine it it'll be obvious if there's dust on it.
I need root cause of Market Enabler and internet tethering. Will update this thread when I get a response from HTC.
That's a truly depressing story!
The warranty situation is the main reason I use to keep myself from buying this phone. Since I had a hardware issue with my G1 that needed to be replaced (stopped accepting USB input, so it wouldn't charge or transfer data), this is kind of a deal-breaker for me.
Not repairing hardware defects because of a software issue is complete bull****.
My contract comes due in November, hopefully by then, HTC will have changed their policy. If not, the phone I buy definitely won't be unsubsidized! I've had good luck just contacting tmobile and saying the phone broke. Since it doesn't work, I'll have to cancel my contract and pay the ETF.....in the past they've given me a good price on a replacement. This probably wouldn't work if I wasn't on contract with them.
I agree and some of these pointless posts have been reported, so please keep this thread on topic.
I have cleaned this thread up so please refrain from from spamming and flaming. (and will continue to do so!)
Greetz.
i may be sending mine in for a repair soon, i have a stuck/dead baby blue pixel.
I have a AT&T Nexus one (rooted) which developed trackball issues. The trackball got stuck and would keep throwing me into fastboot upon reboot. I could plug it in and fastboot reboot via PC, but then it would only boot into safe mode.
So I called it in, asked for a device exchange....did not discuss bootloader status (was not asked, did not volunteer). Got my replacement the next day! (awesome). Put stock recovery and ROM and Shipped back the old one - checked status on service site - it was initially set to we have received it, to now it says
Status: We have completed your case. If you can help us improve our service, or would like to comment, please contact HTC customer service representatives.
Service Type: Repair
Service Model: C4-On site exchange
Failure Description: cx track ball isnot working properly.
So looks like HTC honored the warranty. the whole process was extremely painless. A+ customer service, if you ask me!
Anyway, thought I would paste it here for people who are a) in a dilemma to unlock the bootloader or not or b) are in the same boat I was in.
Just rooted my AT&T Nexus one, and I hope that if anything does happen, I can have it replaced as seamless as yours!
I have yet to see a single person on any website with a legitimate hardware issue fail to get warranty coverage. Not saying it hasnt happened but I have been heavily searching these forums and others recently as I made up my mind to buy in and I have not seen it. Some have had to revert to Google but overall it seems to me Google should get kudos for what appears to be a reasonable and fair look at the problems and acting accordingly.
And that makes sense, rooting your phone wont cause your trackball to get stuck.
Again, you did agree to voiding the warranty when unlocking the phone. But im glad google/HTC are reasonable enough to honor hardware failures like that even if its rooted. Thanks for the FYI.
how do you check for the status? i can't find the website any where
the link was in the email they sent confirming the receipt of the old phone.
you need an HTC ticket no and can check it here

HTC denied me warranty service at first due to the unlocked bootloader. A forum member that works for the Google sales team helped me out and got them to reverse the $196 charge for excessively dusty screen.
Hello fellow XDA users,
I've had my HD2 since March of 2010 and have tinkered with Android and WP7 since the summer, but not until lat winter has my phone started to constantly overheat.
It's lessened over the past month (possibly because I've been using Android on NAND) but anytime I use my phone for an extended period of time, whether for web browsing, flipping through the gallery, or anything having to do with applications, my phone freezes up, prompting a battery pull.
When this happens constantly my phone overheats and never gets past boot up.
Sometimes leaving my phone in a cold place before booting helps, but it ends up overheating one way or another.
Do other HD2 tinkerers have the same problem or is my HD2 faulty is some way?
I had EXACTLY the same problem....
Rang up HTC, they sent collector out, checked it out and replaced the board with a brand new one
IIRR, it was diagnosed as 'Mainboard current leakage'
I was very greatful for the new board obviously, but as i'd previously payed my original provider (T-Mo UK) for the unlock, the new phone came back LOCKED and i had to go through some real grief to get HTC to provide me with the new unlock code for the new board, even though i had all documentation they asked for, they were very reluctant
It was only the fact that when i made the initial call to HTC and they arranged collection, i mentioned it was unlocked and told them to make a note of it, and i expected an unlocked one back, in the event of a replaced motherboard !!!
Hope this helps
PS: REMEMBER to get it back to it's original factory state (ROM/bootloader/SPL) before sending it back of course !!!
EDIT: I tried allsorts of different ROMs/bootloaders in the hope that one would be fine but to no avail
MY ORIGINAL THREAD IS here
Thank you very much for your reply!
I'm located in the states so I'm contemplating contacting T-mobile about the issue to see if they can simply send me a refurbished model (I'm sure they're stocked full of em).
I'm sure my family's legacy with them (9 years now) so hopefully they won't make too much of a fuss.
My only concern is whether they'll charge me if I don't restore my phone's SPL and bootloader.

I've never chanced it, but it'll void any existent warranty you have for sure, and more than likely a "note" on their system against your name for future dealings ?!?!
Best not take any chances mate It's easy enough to do (from cold of course)
I called Tmobile about the problem and they're sending in a new model. Until then I'll be restoring my phone and hopefully not worry about my phone overheating anymore! Thanks mate!

hello compunerd, its me Manny.
how ya doing pal?
Hello there. I went to Los Angeles last month and after a little research on tablet pcs, I decided to buy a nexus for my wife. Since I had no time to order it online, decided to visit a retail store at Santa Monica called Macmall.
I was bringing this as a gift, so I bought it and opened it right away just to make sure it was working properly.
So, I went back to argentina, wife happy with her nexus, until yesterday.
She came crying saying that the nexus was broken.
The screen is showing nothing but vertical lines. The touchscreen is responding to finger swipes and sound works, but of course all of that is useless since screen is defective.
She swears she didn't hit, drop or wet the tablet pc, I did check it many times and it has absolutely no signs of mistreatment.
I turned it off, soft reset pressing power for ten seconds, removed the cover and the battery, and once, I was able to see the Google logo properly but quickly vanished into lines again.
So... What options do you think I have?
Nexus is not being sold on my country and Google is giving me no support at all.
I contacted Asus through their website, still waiting for an answer but I'm not sure if they will help since I'm far away from USA.
I'll appreciate any help, or piece of advice you can give me.
You might be in luck. I had a problem with the speaker once, thinking it was the hardware, and I thought I would have to return it. I think for fixing your screen problem, you should reflash the stock Rom. If you are unfamiliar with what I am trying to say, it is basically like reinstalling the stock Operating System (Android). Find out how to reflash the stock Rom. Since you could see the Google logo properly, i'm pretty sure it isn't hardware. Might just be a corrupted stock Rom. Here is a guide that should work: Click Here. It will wipe all of your data/storage so it will be like your Nexus 7 came out of the box.
Best of luck recovering it!
Edit: What is also very weird is it seems like it happened suddenly. Not out of the box, but randomly.

Thanks for the answer. I may have not expressed myself correctly.
I'm not seeing anything on the screen but those annoying vertical lines.
After removing the battery a few times, once showed me the Google logo, just a one second flash, and then the lines again.
The only person I saw with this very same problem, had it as you said, straight from the box.
I asked my wife and she updated the nexus a few days ago and barely used it, so even if it sounds weird it could be a software issue.
Question is, will I be able to reinstall the stock OS just guessing where to push, I mean, with only those lines on the screen. I'm like... Blindfolded

Oh now I see. First, anyway, do not manually remove your battery. That might affect something. To force shutdown hold down the volume down and power button for about 10-20 seconds until it turns off. Now, with the vertical lines, now i'm pretty sure since you clarified, it is the software. I think I know a fix for reflashing the stock Rom. Use this toolkit: Here. Click the option "Flash stock and unroot". Try that and it will Flash stock. Try software updating once it works and you could boot up without the problem. If it still has the problem if you software update (Unlikely), then just do that again and keep it at stock version.
Hope this helps!

Once again, thanks.:good:
I'm still not allowed to post any URLs, but I found a video on youtube of a guy with exactly the same problem.
Just search "Jon417silka nexus" and you'll see it.
I'm dowloading this NexusRootToolkit you recommended, it's +200MB so it'll take a while.
I have no skills on flashing or rooting any device, but I have read the instructions and doesn't seem to be too complicated.
I'll be awake all night trying to solve it if it's necessary.
I'll let you know how it went in a few hours.
Well... I finally downloaded the nexus root toolkit.
It was kinda easy actually, just had some hard time trying to enable the USB debugging mode, since... well i can't see anything on the screen.
I was able to download the drivers, and run the stock rom but, unfortunately, no luck on the screen.
Im just seeing green lines which i assume is the green android logo on the center on the first boot or something.
by the way, google answered me today saying somthing like, they cant do anything since im outside the us, so i have to contact asus.
It's too bad flashing the stock rom didn't fix it, I'd say it seems to be a hardware problem.
Even if you were in USA, google will only help you if you bought it within 14 days from Google Play Store.
You should call Asus Argentina [ http://latin.asus.com/Static_WebPage/Service_center_argentina/ ] and explain what is wrong, and give them the serial number. The number is located somewhere on the box, and on a removable sticker on the bottom back of the Nexus [As well as in the Settings, but you cannot read the screen so that is useless]. If you can't find the serial number, you might be able to get it via adb, but I'm not sure.
Asus has a 1 year warranty on tablets, but I'm not completely positive what they will say since it was bought in USA, and you are now in Argentina. But hopefully they will be able to RMA it and repair/replace your device. gl!
Yeah, it has to be hardware. I think you should follow Sikagoon7's advice and return it because it is under law. It couldn't be your or your wife's fault, because as you described, there were no scratches or anything. I guess it just might be a bad device. Replace it because the Nexus 7 is so worth it.
Probly gpu chipset. Its getting distorting at high frequency. Since first logo is a small frequency image and some times provided for BIOS its show normal. (Thats my guess)

I was giving up all my hopes on this, plugged the nexus to the computer and clicked the OEM lock to return to its original factory state.
You know... I don't want them to say my warranty it's void for messing with it.
Of course, I didn't noticed any changes, swiped my finger a couple times and then...
WHAT THE....
The lines vanished and screen started to function properly, a few lines were noticeable for a few moments, now the screen is fine.
Now things got even weirder...
My wife it's been using it for two hours, with Monsters Ate My Condo (which may be pushing the cpu a little bit) and it's working flawlessly.
Problem is... I'm pretty sure that if the screen turns off it will die again.
Is there a way to keep the nexus always on, never go to sleep, just dim the screen to minium brightness or something...
Any other solution you guys think i can try is also welcome.
Please understand that returning this to Asus will be my last resort (if they decide to accept it, which I'm not sure).
Once again, thanks for everyone's time and replies
If you can not turn off your screen without it breaking it I would RMA it back to Asus.

Well... It worked properly for two hours, now it died again.
I wanted RMA to be my last resort, but I'm running out of options here...
Did you already start the RMA process?

No, I haven't.
I don't even know where to start...
The fact that I live in Argentina may be a complication.
Since Asus is does not sell the Nexus here, they probably won't help me at all.
And the distance may be a problem since shipping to USA is quite expensive.
I contacted Asus via their global website, still waiting for an answer.
This option kind of sucks but maybe you should sell it cheaper to someone on xda have them use the warranty exchange and you could buy another one also possibly from xda. Like i said it sucks but it may be your best option at this point.

I'm gonna bump this old thread I started about a year ago, to share with you guys the rest of the story.
I contacted north american ASUS RMA by email since Google is not taking any responsibility for their tablet.
And latin american ASUS won't take my warranty as valid.
I tried to explain my complicated situation to the RMA guy. It was a little hard to understand since my english is not flawless.
But I had a friend flying to united states, he carried my broken nexus with him and sent it to repair as soon as he arrived.
Tricky part was: he was only staying for 10 days. So ASUS had ten days to receive, repair, and send the Nexus back to my friend so he could bring it to Argentina.
I crossed my fingers and decided to wait, fortunately they did a good job and now it's working back again.
However I noticed the battery doesn't lasts for as long as I expected...
Anyway thanks to everyone for sharing ideas and for your time.
Hi all, I need some help from you guys.
I read all about voiding warranty if I root my device but something happened to my nexus that I find too akward.
A couple weeks ago, I sent my Nexus to repair due to faulty gps.
It would not recieve any signal. I installed many different ROMs, wiped it, tryed factory image from Google themselves without any success. So I decided to send my Nexus to warranty. Before sending it in I installed the factory image once again and relocked the bootloader.
As I bought my device froma reseller (FNAC) I did not send it directly to ASUS. I went to FNAC instead.
The problem is that today I recieved a SMS from FNAC saying that the brand (ASUS) did not accept my device under warranty.
I am wondering what could possibly go wrong. I am a bit worried about all this as I am 100% sure I took all the precautions to unroot my device. I know it had a factory image from Google and the only thing I am not sure is if I relocked the bootloader.
Tomorrow I will go to FNAC to know what they have to say.
My question is, can they refuse to repair my device only because the bootloader is unlocked? I was not bricked, only the gps did not work.
Sorry for the big text, thanks in advance
Yep they can completely refuse to repair it if the bootloader is unlocked.
To begin with, you need to find out what reason Asus gave.
Any number of things are possible - for all you know, your device got dropped/damaged after it left your hands, but before it arrived at Asus. Or any of a number of other reasons.
But it would be interesting for you to follow up your OP with an account of your experience.
Try installing this
If it's not hard-bricked then try going through Clockwork Recovery (For 4.2.2)
Then download Google Apps from this webpage goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
Then the GPS will work and other Google Apps just fine, and if you want you can start fresh from stock then root it again then put in the ROM (CyanogenMod 10.1 RC2 is the best one) or which ever one you want to use then install Google Apps (gapps) through Clockwork by choosing 'Add Zip' then adding the zip in the downloads folder or your nexus 7. There is though a RC3 and RC4 but I prefer RC2 get.cm/?device=grouper&type=RC
Tomorrow I'll post more info of whats going on.
Thanks for replies.
YoyoscratchMC did not understand your post..
In the guarantee card is a point where it says that unlocked devices have no longer guarantee.

Ok guys so it had nothing to do with software.
I did setup my tablet nicely so ASUS could not complain about unlocking anything.
So the reason they refused to repair my tablet under warranty is a small scratch that cant even be called dent. It has about 1mm diameter and is more a lack of paint than a dent. The small scratch is right next to two connector (see images below) and ASUS repair team said that one connector was not there. They classified it as my fault for damaging the device.
I cannot believe that a small scratch can cause that damage. My opinion is that the connector was badly installed or was not even there at the beggining since I never tested the gps when I bought the device.
Plus the repair cost would be more than 200€, almost the price of a new Nexus. They want to replace the motherboard!
I will post the pictures that ASUS took from my device as soon as I can.
Btw, any1 knows what those connectors do?
Thanks

Those are the GPS antenna pins.
I sent my nexus 7 in because I erased the boot loader (I'm a dumb***) and they upgraded me from an 8gb to 16gb and my nexus was all banged and beat up odd they wouldn't fix yours

I could not believe when they told me that they refused to repair due to a small scratch... Anyway I refused to pay for the repair budget and made a complaint to oficial authorities. I will be able to use my nexus as is while they process the complaint.
Oh and they want to replace the whole board just because it is missing 1 pin from the gps connector. Is that normal?
Thankyou all.
just sent mine with screen flicker on white/minor screen lift.. flashed stock and relocked so hope they honor my warranty...
new ones screen including touch is much better... also nice to get a fresh battery

ya hopefully mine was bought from google play so maybe the warranty is different from the non google play ones...
Doubt it mate. It always comes down to repair companies that ASUS hires.
In my country there are many complaints with the repair service of ASUS. The company that repairs the products here for ASUS is awful. Maybe in your country it's better.
