Hello,
I am looking to solve GPS tracking issue on my Note 3. Android device manager and Airdroid are working well untill the lockscreen gets activated. Connections will disconnecting directly. I have all the setting the same as on the S4 which still works when the lockscreen is active.
Anyone who know how to fix this?
Thanks!

I would like to know if there is any way to manually enable the internal GPS on my Trinity to accept incoming GPS signals and likewise to disable it without using a third party app.
What I am trying to acheive is the ability to toggle gps on when I switch to 'car' profile so that a fix is established everytime I get in the car, regardless of whether I need it. Then if I get lost or stuck in traffic I can switch on tomtom and have an instant fix.
On another thread they mentioned that mortscript may probably do the job using readfile from a com port. Someone else suggested opening the com port and watching the strings returned for a fix status.
Does anybody know how to control it, how do tomtom and other programs toggle GPS on and off? or does a GPS signal need an application to interpret the incoming data?
Yes am wondering how can i turn wifi completely off??
If i use google maps and then i go back to home ..i can see the wifi widget toggle says that is 'turning off' yet..i had gone to settings and specify for it to be turn off?
I had gone to settings too and specify to only receive data from gps and not wireless (just in case is trying to scan for a wifi router)
so has any body come across this? or has anyone found a solution for this?
It's a bug with the current firmware, when you open google maps the wifi is enabled to help fix your location faster, it doesn't matter if you disabled it in the settings. It seems fixed in newer fw versions.
I noticed the same behaviour on my SGS too, but it's not due to Google Maps.
Everytime when I use the phone, the first few seconds it tries to turn off wifi. I made sure wifi is off everytime I finished using the phone or when I'm not in a wifi zone to save some battery.
This is pretty annoying.
Hi all,
I use yandex navigator regularly but have sometimes gps lock problems. I also tried it with other Navigation Software I noticed that disabling Google location access under accounts and restarting after that solves the problem. I can't use Google in Turkey for navigation. Sometimes after installing a new app with location access it occurs again but not every time.
Does anyone have an idea or solution?
Thanks. ..
Hi there,
I have my S8 Exynox version for more than one week and I am facing some strange issues that I cannot explain and I have never experienced them with my previous phones.
I have WiFi router (2.4GHz/5GHz) running OpenWRT and S8 is disconnecting or keeping connected but losing internet access. Many times when I unlock the phone I can see that it is not connected to WiFi and just connecting or there is a message "Connected to XXXX" indicated that the connection was somehow re-initiated. It seems to be more stable if I remove 5GHz network connection but still not reliable.
This is even more strange. When I enable WiFi on S8 and let it connect I am facing network connection dropouts on my LAN not only on WiFi but even on cable. I am listening network radio and the sound disappears randomly and the issue is gone if I disable WiFi on S8. Sometimes I even have to restart the router.
Settings changes randomly. I was navigating with Waze and there was no speed indication. I stopped and found out that it was disabled in settings although it was enabled my previous drive. And another time LTE was suddenly disabled. There was 3G/2G selected in Connection -> Mobile network -> Mode.
I am using Dropsync to synchronize several Dropbox folders with my phone. One of them is synchronized to Share folder in local storage. Yesterday I found out that there is some sync problem in Dropsync and it turned out that Share folder is not existing. Some process has obviously deleted that folder. Could it be that I run optimization in device maintenance?
I am using Nova launcher with Morena icon theme. I have selected some icon for Samsung calendar to have is consistent with the icon theme but it randomly changes to stock icon during the night.
It forgot BT pairing with my Garmin Forerunner. I had to pair them again.
I have enabled volume sync when I connected my JayBird earbuds for the first time but it was disabled again few days ago.
Does anybody else have issues like this?
Experienced the WiFi issues in the beginning too, it doesn't kill my ping any more at least not majorly and it seems to have stopped not being able to connect to my router properly. Can't say anything about the rest.
And how did you solve the WiFi issue?

I didn't, it resolved with time, it did seem to stop after rebooting my router one last time but I doubt that's it as I already did that once and the issue happened again.
Hello
I experience an gps issue. Sometimes, my MI A1 has difficulties to lock the gps signal. I use mostly Google maps and here wego. What I recognized is that after a restart of the device it starts to work as supposed to be.
I tried several things as gps fix app, the magisk module to create a localized gps config file. For some reason it works for a while till it doesn't.
Now, since a reboot of the device works I wonder if there is an gps system app which I could kill and restart just before I run a navigation app instead of restart the phone. If so, I could automate with Tasker.
Something what is kinda weird is that I every now and then a pop up shows up which says 'Bluetooth has stopped' when I use GPS on a navigation app. It doesn't matter if Bluetooth is enabled or not.
I'm thankful for every suggestion.
