Restoring with Odin, not working. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I have a rooted SGH-i337, I used Kingo's root to root it. I recently had safestrap with a custom rom loaded but I recently deleted the rom and then uninstalled safestrap. I then tried to do a full restore using Odin...but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get it working.
I have tried using the MF3 files and when that didn't work, I tried using the MK2 files.
I just keep getting this.

Try reinstalling drivers, different USB ports, OEM cable, other cables, etc. There's no really telling what is causing it.

Is there specific instructions I should be following here?
I go into download mode by holding the down volume key and power button, then I press the up volume key when it prompts me.
A screen shows "Downloading...."
I load all the files through odin, hit start, and it should start working right there, right?
EDIT:
Reinstalled samsung drivers, I had a couple different ones installed actually for some reason...
Used a different USB port, and a different cable. Oddly enough, none of the ones on the motherboard worked and I decided to give the front ones a shot. Worked like a charm, suh-weeeet.

I have a similar problem, I'll give this a try when I get home.

[Q] At&t samsung galaxy s4 i337 not booting into os

Hello there! I recently had purchased a Samsung Galaxy s4. I did not really enjoy touchwiz. I really wanted Google Play Edition. Anyways, my phone is stuck in ODIN mode with a message saying "Downloading... Do not turn off target!" I know that you can enter download mode and hit cancel to boot. But, my issue is different. Listen. I got safestrap on my s4, and it worked perfectly. I backed up my phone and installed Google Play Edition on the STOCK slot. Turned out, Google Play Edition would not boot up so I went back into safestrap and added a new rom slot. Then I restored my firmware on that slot. I left the stock slot not working... Then I uninstalled safestrap at boot up, not thinking about the stock rom. THIS IS THE BIG MISTAKE. I then rebooted my phone, and I get odin with the error message. I can't get into recovery settings or safestrap of course. I am now stuck with no options on my phone. I try to go to download mode and hit cancel. This did not boot up my phone, only my Google Play Edition which was not working. Now I can't change my rom slot. All I want to do now is go back to touchwiz. I want to restore my phone, but how? I would really appreciate your help!
I was running android 4.3 jellybean on MF3 so I can't load TWRP.

You need SGS-I337_16GB.pit. Run this in Odin and it will fix your issue.

Do you remember what bootloader you were on?
If you were on anything higher than MF3 you are wasting your time, as you cannot downgrade this far.
MK2 and up requires those specific Odin tars. Since the original post was in January I will assume you were on MK2 at that time.
See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663545
Personally, I would just go with the NB1, since root is now out for us. Once you odin the NB1 file, grab the files needed to towelroot, root, install superuser.apk, install safestrap 3.72 and you will probably be back in business
Now... thus all said, I am having a nightmare myself... last night I was listening to music on my I337 NC1 stockly rooted, when all of a sudden it froze... so I pulled the battery (which was fully charged), put it back in, and now my phone won't power up.
Being the geek I am, I grabbed my original samsung udb cable and plugged it into my windows machine... lo-and-behold windows recognized it, but as a completely different device... Qualcom USB or something...
How can I get back to download mode? Or do I need a JTAG? :crying:

Sorry to hear about your dilemma. I probably cant help, but why not try.
Question, what do you mean by stockly rooted NC1? Are using the NC1 stock rom but rooted, or are you using another rom? Did you root using the download method or the towel root? Just curious.
I take you have tried to get to download mode using these steps?
Power off the phone completely by removing its battery for 5 seconds.
Re-insert the battery back into its place.
Press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons, all at the same time.
Release the buttons only when the ‘Warning!!’ message appears.
Next, press Volume Up button to confirm that you wish to enter Download Mode.
Your device will now show a green Android with the ‘Downloading… Do not turn off target’ text listed under it.

Press and hold Home + Volume down + Power on button
Press volume up to confirm and enter download mode

It failed because you have not split the firmware first - Galaxy y does not support single file flashing
You need to split the firmware into pda modem and csc - You can do this by using splitfus2 link in my signature
However I have already split pretty much all available firmware which you can find on my firmware thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568853
The one that you want based on what your odin log says will be
http://d-h.st/hOn

Bricked and can't seem to fix it

So before all of this, my Sprint S4 was rooted but I don't think I installed a recovery on it as before this ****storm happened, trying to boot into a recovery didn't work, so I'm assuming I never installed one. So long story short, I was trying to install Cyanongenmod using their installer, wouldn't work after a few times and now my phone is stuck in the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and I can only boot into download mode, can't do anything else and I've tried using Kies recovery thing and nothing works. I've tried flashing new firmware in odin, everything I've tried always fails, gets stuck at "setup connection" a lot, tried different USB ports, cords, literally everything a few Google searches give me and I just cannot get this thing unbricked, and I'm just shocked why everything I tried to flash on it in odin just keeps failing.
I really, really need help from you guys as I need my phone for work and don't have any backup phones or anything, so I would appreciate 100% if someone can get me out this ****, thank you!
Also usually get this error in odin

Galaxy S8 - issues with installing stock ROM

Hello XDA community,
I would like to kindly ask you for your help as I'm out of ideas & desperate after evening of trying without getting to any result. Year ago, I've successfully installed custom ROM (was doing that for first (and last) time) on my S8 (SM-G950U1)... I've installed Android 9 (built PPR1.180610.011.G950U1UEU5ZSAB).
Today, I would need to get back to stock ROM (due to multiple reasons, mainly in order to be compliant with corporate policies as I'm using this device also for work purposes).
I screened in a detail way how to correctly execute that but I always failed with Odin part
What I tried
Multiple stock ROMs (G950U1UES5DSF3_G950U1OYM5DSF3_ATT, G950U1UES6DSG1_G950U1OYM6DSG1_TMB, G950U1UES6DSH1_G950U1OYM6DSH1_USC, G950U1UES6DSH1_G950U1OYM6DSH1_VZW)
Multiple USB cables
Multiple laptops
Reinstalling Samsung drivers
Multiple ODIN versions
USB debugging is on
Result is always the same .. phone is put to download mode, ODIN is launched (in admin context), phone is connected, ROM files are pushed in ODIN. Once I click Start, it runs for a few seconds and than reports this error saying

Using wrong Odin version.
Use Odin 3.13.1 or patched version 3..13.1 or higher.
Lower versions don't support lz4 compression ratio.

No matter what I do I cannot get Odin to move past SetupConnection. I have the drivers installed, i've restarted my computer and phone a million times, used different USB ports and cables, and every odin version from 3.12.3 to 3.13.3.
This is my log output:

I flashed the One UI beta forever ago, and want to get the actual official software on my S8 now but it is impossible to get past this step.
