[Q] Awake time is similar to screen on time? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated my S4 to KitKat and since then I have the same awake time as my screen on time, is this normal? Because I didnt notice this before when i had 4.3

If awake time is equal to screen time is a good thing.
It means that you have not background apps or processes that keep your device awake when screen is off.

It's normal, screen on must be "awake" , if your awake time is much more Ryan screen on time, then you must be some background process keeps phone away from into deep sleep

Ok, but can you explain me this situation, how is possible that awake time not activate while screen is on?

To see awake time and screen on time I use betterbatterystats.
It's more accurate and give you many useful informations.

cant use BBS because on KitKat phone must be rooted and mine is unrooted. Can u answer me on last question?

I don't know. Probably it's a fail of stock battery statistics

How to fix battery drain issue !

Hi I keep hearing people complaining about their battery draining, but I found turning off and on some features does infact stop the battery from draining too much, but this only works with the latest 4.4.2 update because I noticed that Power saving mode was not working on 4.3. You should set your setting like this:
The final step is to set you screen brightness to 25% (Brightness level by Curvefish) and turn off your wifi.

[Q] New battery : never to 100%

Hi,
Since my Nexus 4 battery life was getting worse, I decided on buy a new battery from EtradeSupply.com
Installation went smoothly.
But since then (about a week now), I was never able to charge the battery to 100%.
When I check the phone after a few hours, it says Fully Charged, but then when I unplug it, it shows 85% or up to 91%
I have tried charging my phone while turning it off, full discharge, I tried re-calibrating the battery, but nothing works.
Any idea what is happening?
I am running KitKat, with CM by the way.
Are you sure that is an original battery? I bought a new one on ebay and it has a lot of problems. after i bought it on lgspares.com and it is good.

I got this one : http://www.etradesupply.com/oem-lg-nexus-4-e960-battery.html
It's supposed to be OEM LG legit.
try to reset battery stats with this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=en
i had similar problems in my previous phone when installed a custom rom. this helped me.
Turns out the battery was defective (or fake).
It died completely a few days ago, and couldn't turn on the phone anymore.
I ordered another battery from another website, and the new one is working perfectly (charges to 100%)
So my advice : avoid http://www.etradesupply.com/ !

Battery charged at 100%, but the led is still red

I guys, I just noticed for the first time that the led still remain red after the battery is charged at 100%. It never happened before, until now the led became blue (or green, I didn't remember) after the battery was 100% full. I didn't touch anything and I didn't installed anything. What can it be?

How long was it at 100? My phone has just turned to 100 and was red before I took it off charger..
You should probably wait for another 5-10 minutes.

Maybe it is the problem. I looked at the phone just after it turned 100%. I had to wait few more minutes.. Do you think that the battery can has "problem" in this case? Should be better if it was charged until the led became blu.
I think it's not truly fugly charged until it turns blue personally but also doubt it hurts any either. I don't see a problem though with it being red at 100 unless it's been 100 for over a few mins. It slowly charges the closer it gets to full
Mine has been doing that since I got it. At 100% it still shows red and +- 3 minutes later it changes to blue....
Thank you guys, the important thing is that che battery functionality is preserved. At the end, 100% is 100%, red or blue is not that important

I think that is totally normal.
Check this, if it says 100% but still lids orange, go to battery settings and see Android saying "charging". You will also realize it says "full" and it returns blue after 5 minutes or so.

I already did, but android doesn't says "charging", but another thing which I don't remember. Anyway it doesn't matter, it's enough to know that is normal [emoji3]

It is normal do not worry
And I suggest you to charge it to 95% or 90% only.. it will make the battery life Longer after years of usage
Try to check once again next time. I have once again checked for you and that is what Android says when it is written 100% but the light is still orange.
Right, it eventually turns green in a few minutes you said so things are in order

I don't think so. I read a lot about this and with new batteries there is no reason to do this "tricks". It worked with old battery, but now there is no need [emoji3]

The maximum capacity is 3600mAh and when you charge it always to 100% the maximum capacity will decrease faster after years.. yeah the new batteries are improved but not in this point..

I think that there is a system which prevent this. The engineers should think to those things.

They did not yet
Power OFF // Take the battery away // Keep Power Buton pressed 10 sec // Put the Battery in place // Power ON // LED is Green
Works on my Note 4
Try these(works for battery error/charging port moisture detection bugs)
1. USB settings >> CLEAR DATA , CLEAR CACHE
2. Wipe cache partition
3. Settings >> Apps >> LED >> clear data >> clear cache
4. Settings >> apps >> settings >> Clear data >> clear cache

Did you just ressurect an almost year old thread? With info that isn't correct, or at least is only partially correct?

Lineage OS vs Resurrection Remix

Hi all! I'm currently running lineage OS 14.1.2 on my opt and I'm not really happy with the battery life! I haven't really calculated how much so I get, but my battery gets drained before the sun sets! I use it frequently, but only for light apps. Like checking notifications from time to time and a little bit of texting. I keep location off, Bluetooth on (I have a mi band 2, which does not remain connected to the phone. The band app only connects to the band when I get a notification and sends the info) and I keep my WiFi on (I forget sometimes). I keep the brightness pretty low too. I noticed that the battery drains much faster with location on (expected I guess) and also with lte. The reason I'm complaining about the battery life is because I was using a redmi note 4 (with a 4100 mah battery) before this and I used to get more than a day of usage (literally). Now, obviously 800 mah can't make a phone last twice as longer as the opt, so I thought that it's software related and I heard that RR Rom gives better battery life! (Plus the stock camera doesn't work on lineage OS) any help from you guys would be appreciated!! ?
Two last updates doesn't work wery well. I have many freeze and battery go down in little time.
