Its a note 3 sm-n9005 running 4.3.
a few weeks ago i rooted and unlocked a friends phone but never got a chance to install a recovery,
my silly mistake tonight was ti install TWRP 4.4 :crying:
I tried to install the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.7-hlte.img.tar using odin 1.85 but all i get is "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" in a bootloop
By pulling out battery and turning on normally the phone still works fine.

Any ideas on getting TWRP
My main goal is to get kitkat onto the phone, sammobile has kitkat, the phone was originally vodafone, can i install 3hutch onto phone with odin or do i have to stay with vodafone

If you have Kitkat on the device (tried flashing) then you need the Kitkat TWRP - hence the BL - You cannot go back to 4.3 if you've attempted to flash KK

Why not flash a normal ROM?
By that I mean, a ROM which is not touched by any service provider.

People have been reporting Fails while flashing carrier roms through ODIN... It generally seems to fail on the "Hidden" partition....

Hey just wanted to let you know my phone started to work by doing thank you so much.
I have one more question I rooted my phone again and used twrp recovery this time and tried flashing darthstalker rom again and it flashed all the way through but when it rebooted it said there was no root found and suggested me to install superuser within twrp recovery mode so bottom of the story it was telling me there's no rom?
What am I doing wrong again?

No root or no ROM? -- If no root, then it'll ask you to install it via TWRP (My HTC done this also) -- No ROM would mean it wouldn't boot into anything just the Samsung bootloop.
It's OK to install superSU via TWRP btw. The ROM may not have come Pre-Rooted or you chose the UnRooted version.

No Rom. What does it mean that rom might not have came pre-rooted?
So you don't have the custom ROM installed? -- has darthstalker... installed? -- When you install a recovery you normally root the phone also.
*The ROM that you installed might not have come with Root privileges added* -- But if you don't have a custom ROM then it won't matter to you.

No I don't have custom rom installed. I have twrp recovery installed and after I'm done flashing darthstalker it shows no rom installed and I get stuck with samsung boot loop. It's really weird never had this problem on any of my other phones.
Could be that the ROM isn't compatible then, try another ROM?

Help after 4.4.2 upgrade

I was running X Note on 4.3 and decided to upgrade to xnote 8 . I downloaded the official polish 4.4 firmware and followed the instructions and every thing seemed fine, I lost my TWRP recovery so i decided to reinstall my custom recovery. But now i have done that my phone is stuck in a boot loop. What have i done wrong?
I have tried the chain fire method and the Goomanager method but none are working?
My phone is up and running on stock 4.4.2 but i cant install any custom recoverys. What can i do?
Probably using the wrong version of custom recovery. Grab the latest CWM by chenglu (.06 ) or the newest TWRP and you should be OK
I have tried both of the latest Cwm and TWRP and even cf auto but it still won't root my phone

Hi mate
I flashed the the KK firmware from sammobile with the update boot loader ticked. Booted back into the stock rom fine but what ever method i use to flash a custom recovery just fails. When i tried the Goomanager method my phone boot loops and i have to re flash the phone again. I have tried both the latest versions of TWRP and CWM. Never had any problems like this before. When i 1st got the phone i did the chain fire method which takes less than 30 seconds but this also doesn't work know.
I took the phone back to carphone warehouse this morning and they have sent it off for repair. Hopefully ill get a note 3 back running 4.3 and ill wait for the official firmware:good:

[Q] Bricked i337 -- URGENT

Hi everyone,
I am new to android mods and such and I may very well sound like an idiot. However, even though I know little to nothing of what I am talking about I am in dire need of help. I never did any heavy modifications like custom ROMS but I merely rooted it and installed some tweaks via the xda installer. After toying around with one of the tweaks I seemed to cause an annoying random reboot which would happen when I would sometimes go to unlock my phone. Fine, I could deal with a few reboots here and there. However, my phone recently got stuck on the AT&T loading emblem and stood in my pocket for 2 hours draining a lot of battery and has not been resolved since. I am unable to enter safe mode and I tried a few guides to flash it to stock but I honestly have NO IDEA what I am doing. I am aimlessly following guides here but there is so much variability therefore I feel as if I would have the most success with personalized help.
What do I do? Please use simplified terms along with (relatively) full steps. For example, if I were to flash something I would go into recovery mode with home + vol up button factory reset, and the AT&T logo would still be there, frozen.
Things I have tried but have probably done wrong:
Factory reset
Install custom ROM
All and ANY help is appreciated at this point, I am desperate.
Thank you,
Suprr
Also, my ultimate goal is to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520418 this mod, or at the very least get the stock ROM working so my phone is usable.

I am assuming that you havent yet taken the OTA update to NB1 and your base is MK2. Or, do you have a MDB/MDL bootloader?
If MK2: You have to flash the full stock Mk2 firmware using odin. Download the "Full odin tar files" from the All things ATT thread
if MDB/MDL: Download the stock firmware from sammobile and flash using Odin.

He must have determined you are not on mdl/mdl firmware. Those firmwares would allow you to easily flash custom roms, nb1 is not as easy and limited to touch wiz based roms. Do you know if you had a custom recovery, twrp or cwm?

Flashing the MK2 full tar file from here in Odin 1.85 says it was successful (green box) and when I went to restart the phone it was still stuck on the AT&T logo.

Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. That should get you past the bootloop
Ps, the first boot is going to take longer than normal. Give it a good 10 minutes

You're on mk2 firmware now. You'll need to root it using safe root and then put safestrap on in order to flash that rom. Look in the general forum for index, all thing mk2 and nb1. There's a lot of info there so read it carefully

My phone is bricked and need professional help

My device is on the factory ucuamdl bootloader and I was using SkyFall rom SF_UCUFNI1 for some time without any problems. I always use GoogyMax3 TW kernels flashing with Phliz touch recovery. A couple of day's ago I wanted to try a Ktoonsez 4.4 TW kernel and while flashing it the android guy with tools coming out appeared in recovery then I re-flashed Googy and rebooted the phone. When I try to get into recovery I only get a black screen and the battery keeps vibrating over and over. However I can get my device into download mode and tried flashing my factory AMDL using Odin 3.09 to try and reset everything. It say's that everything passed in green and reboots but Samsung's logo doesn't appear on screen with no os starting up, it's all in black showing nothing. However while in download mode it still reports that my system status is custom and binary is Samsung official. Can anyone please help because I'm at a lost with this.

That looks like it's for the s3 not the s4. It's never good to flash a kernel not for your device. I would try Odin again but flashing a kernel not for your device almost always bricks it. You'll probably have to check out mobiltechvidoes.com. They can jtag it.

Ah yes, here:
i) SGH i337m
ii) 4.4.2
iii) CF-AUTO-ROOT (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293800)
iv) Aaaaaaaaaaaaand... multiple Lollipop roms found here and one for the i9505 which rendered the same result (that is - no result, other than having to go through the first time boot setup from Samsung, which happens with all of them)
I had some difficulty finding where the legitimate i337 XDA was, but I think I found the right place (here)
Thanks already, regardless of if we figure it out

It sounds like you'll have to use odin and flash the stock firmware and then start the process over again. You should be able to find the firmware at sammobile.com.
Then root using cf
Flash twrp recovery, after root get flashify from the play store and flash the twrp image file in it, http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/jfltecan
Then you can flash roms.

I rooted My S4 last year using towel root. Then ,AT&T updated my phone to Baseband NI1,and I lost root. Since then ,every time an AT&T software update message comes in ,I try to let it update ,and it always fails. As of now I am still on 4.4.2 NI1 and no root. Is there any way to re gain root access?
