How to enable art??
(this will bootloop/stuck on samsung logo for sure 100%)
go to recovery mount /system and /data
then use adb
Code:
adb pull /data/property/persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib
open the file and replace the "libart.so" with "libdvm.so" (no quotes) and vice versa.
for dalvik use "libdvm.so" ///////////// for art use "libart.so"
Code:
adb push persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib /data/property/
Reboot
enjoy bootloop.
some files might be missing.
why?? bcoz if anyone can find how to enable art then it will be too beautiful.

no ss sorry. its tw rom.

Note- Those facing problem with bootloop, flash TWRP 2.6.3.1. You don't even need to select any option like in Philz as stated in OP. Just do a clean install (wipe system, data, dalvik, cache).

i'm hoping someone will post some screenshot :fingers-crossed:

Whatever....

Tnx ravi.

thank you so much ..

update : supersu will fc but it works.. only app needs to be updated i think from chainfire for this leak.

Thank you, @ravijani--it's too tempting an opportunity to miss.

does this have knox or any bootloader in the rom ?
and it is possible to go back to 4.3 if required

First time yes the rom flashed properly and stuck at samsung logo , then i flashed the latest philz recovery 6.19.3 and almost at the end of the flashing i had error 7.
I will try again , now i'm flashing via odin the official 4.3 ENA3 and i will try again

Silly question--but, did you make a Nandroid backup before flashing the 4.4.2 ROM?? If so, why not restore?

WARNING! Bootloop with latest update (8MB) rooted 4.4.2 !

Let this be a warning, the latest update put my phone in a reboot loop. After trying to apply the update clockwordmod would come up on restart, installation would fail, couldn't see why, too fast, the phone would start up and after 15-20 sec it would shutdown to start all over again.
Don't know what update does as I have a french phone and all update messages come in french. I saw that USB on the go was mentioned and some other bug fixes.
TO FIX:
Enter fastbood mode (VOL DOWN+POWER)
From the PC enter:
fastboot erase cache
Can someone more knowledgeable say why the update fails?

Yes you do and no root
I had the same problem. You have to go back to latest stock rom before installing the update, and then rooting again. Worked fine for me.
See this guide for example : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219

Stock RECOVERY, KERNEL and NO changes in /system partition whatsoever (including root.)
With some experience there´s nothing easier than flash stock ROM. Or do it thrice a day if you feel like that

Download and Install the OTA, you will loose your ROOT AND RECOVERY but not the data. That is the easiest way.
plz elaborate the process, i am new to it.
and one more question : what if i do OTA normally(over wifi).
with custom recovery and xposed OTA will fail and maybe soft brick.
please read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/info-nexus-4-ota-help-desk-t2145848

You have two (best I think) solutions:
1) Get back to stock and download OTA... before you do that, download Titanium Backup, backup your apks with it's cache so you won't have to set them up or start games from beggining... to backup messages etc you can use My Backup Pro, for calendar and contacts synchronize your Google account
2) Try to "get back to stock" as near as you can and try OTA... if it fails, it's not difficult to recover from softbrick

in the link I posted OTA HELP DESK is all well explained.
I was in your same situation (stock + franco kernel+ TRWP recovery + Xposed) and i have just installed the OTA. This is what I did:
1- Uninstall Xposed (from inside the installer)
2- Uninstall Cerberus app (because in some cases it modifies system)
2- Flash stock kernel
3- Flash OTA in recovery
* It failed because Franco kernel modifies /system/lib/hw/power.msm8960.so --> so renamed power.msm8960.so.bak to power.msm8960.so
4- Flash OTA in recovery
5- Flash TRWP recovery
6- rooted

I'm not sure, but your situation may need 'Scenario #2' (+ uninstalling Xposed)
can anyone else conform me on this:

suggested(http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/info-nexus-4-ota-help-desk-t2145848) :
Section B: Flashing in a custom recovery
1) Download the OTA.zip and copy to your phone.
2) Boot into recovery.
3) Flash the OTA just like you would a ROM.
4) Reboot.
i am not sure that xpose modifications come in this condition or not

yeah, you need to uninstall Xposed too (from within the app, not like uninstalling normal apps). Then you can reinstall and have all modules and config untouched.

Alomost every custom rom is prerooted so all you need to do is download twrp for your device and flash with odin that's it. Once you have twrp installed just download and flash the rom you want
Here is a link to twrp for the N910C

What base are you on ? As long as you are on 5.1.1 then I'd recommend DN5, both erobot and sixperience have the theme engine as well but don't seem to be supported anymore.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/5-0-1-dn-rom-e-team-t3031712
I'm not sure CF auto root actually works anymore because of selinux , been that long since I tried it.
I've never known anyone get bootloop flashing the correct twrp. Once you have twrp installed dont do anything except flash dn5 (if thats the one you choose), don't select root in twrp you should be ok just flashing the rom

Download dn5 zip to your sdcard reboot to recovery and flash the zip file through twrp that's it. If you want to go back to stock you just download the latest firmware for your region from sammobile and flash that through odin. That simple, but I think you will probably stay on custom especially if you want theme store
Edit
Yes every thing is ok in odin, just always check that repartition is never ticked by accident. Repartition should always be left unticked

is there any way to backup my apps so that I don't lose them after the process and also to backup the whole firmware in case I get a bootloop?
You shouldn't lose them tbh but you can do one of 2 things. 1 make a full back-up in recovery before you flash dn5 (think you can backup un rooted never actually tried)
2 flash latest su zip in recovery to get root then use titanium backup or similar to back them up. There may actually be an app in the playstore that doesn't need root to backup apps just can't remember what it's called

Untick reboot in odin flash twrp again and reboot straight into recovery manually with 3 finger combo before you boot up the phone. If that doesn't work flash twrp 2.8.6 first, there was a bug in 2..8.7 guess it's still there in latest version. Once you have 2.8.6 you can flash any after that

Man i told u before i tried these all exactly 3 type of file with 3 methods.
If TWRP doesnt work, idk if this can help you. The last options is flash other recovery to remove this problem. Try philz and cwm (which is the same but philz is advanced). Tip: If one recovery doesnt work dont try it
PS: You have the same scenario like me on TWRP installation

Ya awesome progress.I am 100% sure it's better than manufacturer like samsung
I have same issue I tried many methods to flash twrp but everytime it fails cwm just work flawlessly but then I tried flashing twrp.img file with flashify and it works thanx

J500FN won't boot custom ROMs

I have OEM unlocked, TWRP flashed, and yeah.
Trying to flash Resurrection Remix and once it's done and I reboot, I get a yellow screen with a couple lines and it gets much worse.

6.0.1.
That is the reason, you need to be on 5.1 Lollipop to flash that ROM
All you can do now is flash stock ROM, and start all over

AH, so, can I downgrade to 5.1, then flash it?

Sure thing fam, you can, download ODIN, and go to sammobile.com and choose 5.1 Lollipop for your country, and flash it. Root you phone after that and install twrp then flash the RR ROM, it will work, good luck
And next time, read the thread better before flashing ROM, next time it could be worst.

"Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped."
I can boot the phone, just can't do anything with it.
Can't use 5.1.1 on my J500FN at all, which is disappointing.
The ROM just hangs on the boot logo, even after I've cleaned system, cache, and data.

1) Go to recovery and wipe /system , /data , /cache and dalvik-cache
2) Power off the phone (from recovery).
3) Boot in Download mode and flash the Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware you want.
3) Wait until phone boots succesfully. Then you can flash TWRP for Lollipop 5.1.1: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/recovery-samsung-galaxy-j5-t3468844 .
Always do the step 1) before upgrading / downgrading Android version, but also when reflashing stock rom with same Android version.

This worked, but I'm having issues with /system not being found while flashing RR 6.0.1.

Try to mount /system manually before flashing it.
