I was thinking about selling my at&t s4 for a t mobile s4 so I can gain access to the bootloader. Just wondering if anyone else had had any experience with this. Thanks!

That is what I have done, just remember to flash a TMO kernel after flashing a rom.

I picked up a used M919 and am using it on AT&T LTE with no issues. Not only that but I am running the latest I9500 KK leak and it works flawlessly. Freedom!

Not possible. The two versions of the N1 have different radio hardware.

Hi! Im a noob and I dont mean to spam or anything like that but does anyone know if there is or if there will be unbuntu for the tmobile Gs4.Is it possible that there might be a zipfile that you could just flash ubuntu through recovery onto the Gs4. Thanks in advance.

Once there is a AOSP (or, more widely, primary used by Ubuntu, CyanogenMod) ROM/source code, your good to go to port it yourself, easily.

Do you live in the U.S.

Yes I live in the u.s. I cant port it Im not a dev..
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
It's not too hard to port, with some googling and help from the community it should be possible.
If you live in the U.S. you have to think about CDMA and your phone carrier would have to do that. You could port it but it would be a waste of time.

Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 just got staple for the S4. I would be interested in having Ubuntu Touch on my S4 (international lte, jfltexx).
Lets see if I can do this even though I have never use C++ or done anything else on a OS.

It being unlocked has no reference to running it on AT&T.

Hello,
Just wondering if there is anyway to get 3G and voice at the same time? I know this is do able over 4G but just wondering if it's available over 3G like the GS3 can. Thanks!

Short answer. No.

On the Sprint GS4, no only on WiFi or LTE.

Buy an Evo 4G LTE on Ebay and activate it. For some reason Samsung didn't include SVDO in the S4.

Lol. I have an EVO LTE and a Galaxy S3. No need to go back to those. NV is going on where I live so I'm not to worried. Was just wondering if it was something the devs here could change.

Its not possible to change it since its a physical thing on the phone. Not software.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Okay. I never knew it was a physical thing within the phone. That's good to know though. Seems like Samsung or Sprint would have included this.

Other carriers do, not Sprint. Probably because their network is so terrible.

Been out of the game for a little bit due to a broken s4 but my question tonight is should I just stay at Rooted MDL or update to MF3?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Don't do it
I STRONGLY recommend for you to stay at MDL, because as of this moment, there is no bootloader unlock for MF3, so that means no custom ROMS or kernels, unless you want to use SafeStrap. If custom ROMS don't matter to you, update. But remember, if you get TWRP, you can always flash an MF3 ROM and get it, while keeping your bootloader unlock. Try it. If you don't need custom ROMS and other cool stuff, update.
Lol just read about it and I defiantly do not want to update thanks for the help. So I'm safe to use any rom in the development section

its bigger, brighter, faster technology. we all may say we love our current devices...but we'd trade for the next one up in a heart beat. even if that's only a few months later. haha.
i swear this S4 is the best device i've had so far and yet i'm simply waiting on the Nexus 5 to drop so i can make my way up that street. what can i say...

can I just take my stuff off and use the factory reset on the phone? I'm not at home to use kies.
My beloved L720 shortcurcuit over the weekend because of a faulty USB cable. Asurion sent me a brand new S4 but unfortunately it's a 720T .Already rooted which triggered Knox but who cares Sprint hardly covers anything these days. My problem now is that I don't have Internet I've been using my Hotspot to surf the net for a few months now until i can afford Internet again. So can anyone direct me to a Hotspot fix for the 720T? Thanks in advance.

I'll trade you my regular gs4 for the triband
So you aren't looking for a hotspot fix but rather a hotspot hack.

No hack for the triband. If you read the triband specific threads someone has found a playstore wifi tether app that works, but is not as good as the hotspot mod.
Sad to hear .

Its because the lack of developers having the Triband version. Most get it right away so that's why most devs have the regular version.

Working tethering! ! ! ! ! !! !
Hey everyone, I got Wifi Tethering Router to work on my rooted SPH-L720T, this should also work on SPH-L720. The app worked with the basic settings, no configurations required.
