I got my phone back after it being serviced by a local official Samsung service center because I managed to brick it. I only just noticed that it won't play any music or video. Not from the original Samsung music app, not the video player, not even YouTube. It also still loses network setting everytime I reboot so on a new boot it says network can't be found so I have to let it search for network again and manually choose the right network. Anybody have an idea what might be causing this?

Hello all, I'll get straight to the problem and not waste any more of your time than needed as I know most of you are very busy.
I got a new HTC TyTN II and I am on AT&T in the US. My problem is that when I try to do something that streams audio or video data it will not do it. I connect to the Wi-Fi and it will do it just fine. I can open web pages and do speed tests till I turn blue, but streaming audio and video are out. I must also point out that because I live in Denver there is no 3G, I am on EDGE.
I have already talked with HTC, but they said I need to talk to the provider since the phone can do it via wi-fi. I went to a local AT&T store and said it might be my plan, they changed it from the MediaMax + 200 to the PDA connect package. I have seen no change and this was about 14 hours ago from this post. The rep also changed out my sim card as I had a Cingular 64K smartsim, they upgraded me to a AT&T 3G sim. They were unable to figure it out and suggested I call AT&T tech support (oh joy). I called and the rep I talked to said that its because I'm using an unbranded phone on the edge, when 3G hits denver this problem should go away, he also mentioned that it happens with most of the 3G phones that AT&T sells. For some reason though, this just doesn't sound right. Technically it could be done. A 64kbit audio stream is easily done via a 200kbit data EDGE connection, so I don't see why they wouldn't allow it. Just seems foolish to block these services if this is true. I just have a hard time believing this is the cause.
I have a few programs that do work, and don't work because of the data issue. Youtube mobile works, it uses a program called "Streaming Media", and the file format is .3gp, but when I stream other data, like from Orb in .3gp, it does not work, even in "Streaming Media". I have another program called Resco Radio, it enables me to listen to Shoutcast radio, but it does not work at all on the edge, on wi-fi it works fine. Then I have xstreamxm.com, they allow me to listen to XM on my mobile device using Windows Media Player. This also does not work.
Programs that do work are Windows Live Maps, Google Maps, Youtube Mobile, and internet surfing. Speed tests are coming in from 174-226kbits/sec from dslreports.com.
Knowing what you know now, what do you think the problem could be? I am open to ANY suggestion, so please write back. Thank you in advance for your time.
Sounds like you need to disable the proxy if you're on the $20 MEdia Maxx plan.
Read this thread:

It was a very simple search for me....
I have searched around the phone and I am not able to locate where to disable the proxy. I searched all the connection settings area and all the connections area. hmmm.....
EDIT - I found it, I had to change the settings on MEdiaNet, not My ISP. MEdiaNet settings are harder to get to which is why I missed them. You can't directly get to them from the connections page, you have to get the settings link while its dialing. I seemed to have gotten it fixed (HOORAY FOR ME! lol)
Thanks Flapjack for pointing out that thread, that really helped.
So, PayPal and android pay finally integrated. And the only way that the integration will show up in either app is to have play services version 11.0.56. *pic below* However, this update is only supposed to be available to certain parts of the US currently I guess as it was just released about a week ago and they want to soft release.
After I did initial research, I found that I could simply download the updated play services and install. Which worked great initially. (everyone without integration capabilities should be on version 10.x.xx)
Got it set up and properly situated, while on WiFi. Kind of ignored the Google play services won't run unless you update(downgrade) it notification. *pic below*
Went to the store to realize I have no data capability on my phone. Tried just about everything so far besides downgrade because I want the integration.
So to my question vvvvv
*Does anyone know if Google play services/framework is capable of blocking all data traffic? *
Because it still shows I have great data connection(as I use the tmobile lte booster and always have good in home data. Testes with another phone to make sure booster isn't messed up) , but any app I try to use that is connected to Google play, does not have a connection. But everything works perfectly over WiFi
UPDATE: Went to remove my Google account to add it again. Upon removing Google account, sim status shows absolutely no service now
Also, I am on Tmobile
-pulled sim out and back and showing service again. But still not able to access any app connected to play store
Double Update-
**Solved**
For some reason it stopped dns capabilities of ipv6. Which is weird given the apn has been running ipv6 stock in the apn from tmobile... So i switched to my apn which is ipv6/ipv4.
Just still not sure what happened there to make that issue
I have both the Moto E4/E4 Plus on Sprint. Both phones do not stream many music stations in TuneIn and XiiaLive apps, it kept saying network unreachable(not all stations but many), also I use an app called Webcam Viewer Pro to monitor my webcams from home, this does not work at all, same network unreachable error when I open up the app, The weird thing is if I connect my phone to wifi network, all would work fine. I also tried to put in my FreedomPop ATT LTE sim in, that works fine as well. So it does look like I have this problem only when I put in the Sprint sim in these phones(e4/e4 +). Does anyone have seen this problem if you have this phone? Or if someone has this phone, would you mind to go to the Play store to install these apps and try to see if you can duplicate this issues? I have contacted Sprint to no avail. They kept telling me to contact the app developer for this, since other stuff just working fine, they refused to go any further troubleshooting for me, even though I i told them i dont have this issues if i switch to wifi or another carrier's sim.
I upgraded to a Note8 recently and found out somebody managed to enable video calling using IMS settings. It works perfectly without even a reboot.
Has anybody tried this with the s7e on U fw?
I really don't want to buy my gf a new phone nor flash T-Mobile's jank to it.
Thanks!
I tried it. Got to show the video call icon by changing the ims settings. I did change more settings compared with the note 8 before I got to show the icon. Still a no go though. Had a message, video service temporarily not available, when I tried. Not sure what else I can do. Might need to use CP from tmobile for it to work.
I recently took out a contract with EE here in the UK.
As part of the deal I get Apple Music free for 6 months, with EE providing the data downloads free, independent of my data subscription.
Problem is that nothing I have downloaded and tried to playback with the Apple Music app works. When selecting a song and pressing play it buffers for 3 - 4 seconds, there's no audio, then it returns to the standby menu for the song.
I've tried all the settings I can think of, both in phone settings and the app settings.
Apple Support have so far been unable to offer a solution, but I'm expecting a call back next week; I'm not optimistic.
In the meantime has anyone here had similar problems, and did you find a fix?
