They are both practically the same when it comes to raw performance. Samsung made sure of that.
The differences are the 4G vs 3G. 4K recording vs 1080p. And lastly, loads of custom support vs lesser custom support.

Both are good, but if you want to tinker with your phone the Qualcomm (N9005) device has many more roms and mods available in development

@OP, just post another thread (3rd one) to get answers for the same question :silly:

Request for Perseus kernel for sm-n900 Note 3

I'm asking @AndreiLux to please add support to his Perseus kernel for the sm-n900 exynos note 3. He is looking for some sort of confirmation that the Note 3 community is interested and will support his work. If you don't know who @AndreiLux is or about his Perseus Kernel (first of all, who are you? ) here's link to his github and changelog for his kernel.

I've been a bit disappointed in the non-US, non-European support towards my work on the Exynos S4. I correlate that the same will happen on the Exynos N3.
If there is enough public demand for it I might do a blind build with the primary features. Until now, I haven't seen really great demand.

Everyone please chime in if you're interested. Again this thread is for the Exynos chipset.
I had an N7100 before. Always using Perseus Kenel. Now i'm with an N900 (exynos). I really miss Perseus features. Would be really great.
we need u man.... already had posted in his thread of galaxy s4... he is jus one of a kind i guess.. please guys.. support him..:good:
We all need you man, miss you from my S3 times with your best calibration for an AMOLED screen of that times

Please build us a Kernel!!
We need synapse for our note 3. Have it on my s4 and cant live without it now.
Loved your work. Please do it for Note 3.
I'd want his kernel too.. the problem is, he doesen't want to buy the n3.. and.. i sad him we could create a pigghy bank to help him to buy it.. but.. he doesen't want a note, too big for him..
Well, i'm already pro over the pigghy bank, if he changes his idea, welcome!

From his reply, he's willing to do a blind build for us. He would just need proper feedback from the users.

Yo that's what i red.. the problem is.. without the device is difficult to create a kernel
My n7100 was great only because perseus kernel. I hope that n900 will get it soon (please include voltage control) also i used once option in deep sleep battery saver to manage cores and it permanently turned off 3 cores to next boot so hmp is possible
Was using perseus kernel on note 2, would be great to see it on note 3 sm-n900

I am dying to flash perseus kernel on my note 3 cant wait was using it on note 2 and still it is on my note 2....
Same here, Used it on my Note 2, cant wait to get it on Note 3..
I too own a Galaxy Note III and would love to get it.
Though I am not sure what it exactly is(if someone could explain it that would be really fanstastic) but from what I have read about it, it looks like it would be something really cool to have which would increase the battery life and the overall experience of using the device.
Wish this fantastic kernel would come to the SD 800 version (SM-9005)

[Q] Should i buy i9300 or i9305 ?? Pls HELP :D

I know that i9305 has 1GB more of RAM and has LTE but im confused about developer support. Everyone says that it has almost none developer support. Does that mean that even Samsung wont develope new updates and it will have less features than i9300, or it means that it wont have as much custom ROMs as i9300 has ?
If i9305 has the same updates and the same features that come with those as i9300, then ill go for i9305 for sure
And BTW i dont need LTE
Hope someone will answer fast
Thanks in advance!!
You're better off buying another device, perhaps a Nexus 5 or even the newer SGS if money is not a problem.

Well i kinda dont have money for better device And i find S3 the best phone for me right now but that developer support for i9305 bothers me
And also do i really need that extra 1GB of RAM ? I saw videos on youtube and only difference i noticed was that i9300 needs to reopen apps after it consumes too much RAM and that makes him a bit slower than i9305 everything else seemes exact same

What are you missing on the development front for i9305? The major roms etc seems to be available for both models as far as i can see.

Aha, Well to me, here on XDA developer support means the developers here on the forums which makes our phones more awesome than Samsung can.

depending on where you live/LTE coverage. there isnt too much of a difference between the 2 devices. i used my i9300 and my uncles i9305 and couldnt notice much if anything. so if you dont need LTE save yourself some money and buy a good case or something

Get the i9305. Even without the dev support, you'll still be able to find one or two decent roms. And these days everything is achieved by Xposed anyways. The newer updates from 4.3 on will really need the extra ram.

Well the dev support is great with 9300, also i don't see ram as an issue too. It depends upon whether he's a heavy multi-task user or lowe multi-task user? I'm pretty happy with 200-300mb ram free always

If we get stock 4.4 on our I9300, won't it be supposed to consume less ram than stock 4.3 ? After all the whole point of KitKat was less ram consumption.
I'm actually expecting when samsung releases 4.4 for our device it will greatly improve multitasking... hope I'm not wrong.

It depends in what are you looking for.......if you are happy with your phone as it is ,no...but if you wish to clean bloatware , do some tweaking that is the way to go

I would say, use it without root for a week or so, and then see if there is anything that seems anoying/could be better in your opinion.
If yes, then do a search and there is (very probably) a fix for this, that might need root and/or custom rom flashing.
If no, then really it's not mendatory for sure
Actually I'm using my phone for more than a month and I find it ok

need some help

Hi guys im planing to buy Asus pro m1 on current flipkart sale, since 4/64GB version is just rs 8500 its steal, but after reading most reviews, this phone looks like have lots of problem,my question is will this problems (touch lag, poor camera, poor battery performance) can be avoidable with custom ROMs? Or its hardware related problems? And finally can u guys also give me link to latest recovery which can backup data without problem? Thank you so much, all answers appreciated
Buy the phone right now. It is the best deal you will ever get and replace Stock ROM with your choice of Custom ROM. It is hardware wise a great phone. Or you could spend some more and get a Realme 3 or Redmi Note 7s.

As far as I can remember it only goes up to Balanced but with GFX tools you can run it on High. I personally haven't played PUBG for a few months now.
I would recommend AEX (some customisation) or Pixel XP (most stable) for Custom ROMs in terms of performance.
You can get 6/64 variant from 2GUD at 9k only
