Are you the dev? Love to have this integrated with an audio sleep timer to automatically turn off music and networks once activated. I know there are special apps for that, but that would nicely integrate with the sleep time tracking function of this app. I know this app supports activation of silent mode, but would be nice if out could pause music as well.

Yes , I am the Dev
Are you referring to integrate various volume used in device like media volume and other sounds to also turn off when activated? I will try to integrate them in next update. Anything else that you think can be integrated which will improve the app?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

I often listen to ambient music to fall asleep. I normally start a Sleep Timer app to stop music and turn off internet after 20 min. If you could integrate such a sleep Timer in your app, I could use your app to start my sleep tracking. Basically your timer of today's sleep time would start as soon as I start the timer. In other words I need an app that deactivates volume and WiFi not immediately but countdown delayed.

I don't actually have a use for this app, I just wanted to pop in and say great idea!! I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate something like this. Hell, I appreciate it even though I won't be using it. The fact that it can read the weather to you in the morning is awesome!

pushed an update for sleep droid
1.Ability to set delay after which sleepdroid should turn off settings after enabling sleep mode.
2.Now you can manage media, alarm, notification, ringer volume while in sleep mode.

The brightness bug .

Applications can somehow reduce brightness more then natve settings can do . For example using cool reader I touched the limits of brightness which are not possible through native settings . This can save eye strain considerably .
Thanks.

can you fix it ?
btw there is also another bug I named it "The orientation bug" since if you lock orientation in landscape mode and press power btn to switch off the screen and then hold the tablet in portrait direction now if you switch on screen the tablet ill lock the orientation in portrait direction instead of landscape .
I'll give it a try later because it's not causing me a big trouble. I got notice the 'orientation bug' but I don't think it's a trouble too. Just hold landscape and log on. The screen also keep locking on landscape

Power Control Plus lets you add a brigtness widget that can be set to a quadruple control - low, medium, high, and auto. You can set the low, medium, and high settings to whatever you want, from 10% to 100%.
Works great lasts a long time B-)

I don't see the orientation thing as much of a problem. But cool read seems to disregard the orientation lock. I can lock it in landscape mode, then lay down to read and it switches to portrait mode. Aggrivating as H...
If you have tasker...you can set the brightness for whatever app you want and then have it go back to whatever dimmest you set.

[MOD] Navigation Bar for CM10

Flashing this will enable navigation bar, and disable capacitive touch buttons on Nexus S.
Make sure to set the Backlight Dimmer delay to 0 using the NSTools, so the capacitive touch buttons don't light up.
If you are using the navigation bar, I recommend setting the LCD density to 200 or 190. Edit it with Rom toolbox, or
navigate to /system/build.prop/ro.sf.lcd_density=200 edit it with text editor and reboot.
Always do a backup before flashing. It should work for any JB rom.
To disable navigation bar, reflash the rom, restore the backup or flash disable nav bars.
You are doing this at your own risk.
Its based on Brainmaster's tweaks for android, all thanks goes to him.
Added files, they set dpi to 190 or 200 or disable Nav bars.
Screenshots please.

You get these three buttons on bottom of your screen.
http://cdn3.digitaltrends.com/wp-co.../samsung-galaxy-nexus-review-home-buttons.jpg
Or you can just add
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
To your build.prop and reboot. It works with every ROM I think. To disable, just set it back to =1.

But that won't disable the capacitive buttons

First time I went from 240 to 200, I wiped googleplay, everything else worked okay, as far as I remember.
If you get FC's wipe that app.
If BLD is set to zero, this will just turn off the backlight right, but they will still work when pressed. Is there a way to disable them for real otherwise what's the point of the nav bars, right?

Oh OK. So the zip turns then off already. Question though, in the BLD settings, setting it to zero turns off BLD meaning the buttons are always lighted up. I set it to 1 to turn it off almost immediately.

Yes you are correct, I used NSTools, and set it to 0, I assumed its the same with CM settings, I will try to fix it. Thanks
EDIT: OK no go, CMsettings work like that, if its set to BLD 0 its always on, NSTools looks like overrides it.
great! this is working just great. really thanks! but i don't see any problem by leaving screen density to 240 though. been opened all apps installed on my ns
quick edit: i am using CM 10 nightly
What's about the menu button? Is it build in the apps? Can I configured them?

So all you have to do, is disable BLN, and put below code(script) in init.d?
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/backlightdimmer/enabled
echo 0 > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/backlightdimmer/delay
Works for me at least

Tried the mod last night and it works! Unfortunately, my fingers are already too big for the default PDI, and reducing it to 200 won't really help me very much. Thanks for sharing this anyway. I'm sure some users have been looking for this.

Macro actions

Due to my profession I find myself doing the exact same steps in my 7.7 going in and to work.
In:
1. Enable flight mode
2. Dim screen to about 33%
3. Enable power saving mode.
Out:
1. Disable flight mode.
2. Restore full screen brightness.
3. Cancel power saving mode.
I do this to comply with work restrictions and to allow for a full charge to last all day long.
I really would like an app to would allow me to create 2 macro actions, triggered by simple app-like icons.
Will I be better off with "Tasker" or with "MacroDroid"?...Is there a more apt app for this ? (...the simplicity of just an icon trigger is a must...)
Thanks!
GK
Never mind..."MacroDroid" is perfect.
You can do it and much more with Tasker app.

Double tap to wake?

I have the exynos variant. Is it possible to enable double tap to wake the device?
Need this too. Had LG devices for the last year, had double tap to wake sleep too.

I *think* it needs to be a ROM enabled feature.

Which app do you recommend? With very very low battery usage.
I came from an LG and I miss so much the double tap to wake and to sleep..

I wouldn't use any as I prefer the standard AOD.
However, you could try this one...

Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
I use Nova Prime and have double-tap to sleep, but yeah, the dt2wake is the absent feature that is needed. Every time I pick up my wife's G4 I think about how nice that feature is!
I honestly thought I would miss this feature having used it for 3 years but the home button press is just as easy for me.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.knockz You might want to try knock on from playstore. But AFAIK any solution even a kernel solution will significantly drain your battery. AFAIK the devices hardware needs to be optimized for that feature allowing the digitizer to stay activ in a low powermode ( LG,Sony, etc). Anyone please correct me or add more details. Imo pressing the home isn't that bad. It's a question of habit.
Wake up screen
Hi guys,
Sorry for my bad English.
Here is what you need to do for waking up screen on S7
edge, in order to not to press the home button, or
power button.
You jus simply swipe the edge screen, and the message
With steps and notifications will appear.
When that happens, simply put your finger on home
button. (Touch, not press).
And the device will unlock. I think is the most
convenient way to do that. Not Nova, not rooted.
I hope I make myself understand here.
Have a nice day.
All kinds of stupid suggestions here. Just press the home button once and keep your finger touching the button until it reads the fingerprint. Probably as fast as double tap to wake but your device is also secured.
Double tap to wake is a feature that needs to be enabled programmatically at kernel level and the hardware must support it.
Galaxy S7 does not have this feature, at least at kernel level.
Any application that you install that enables double tap to wake is going to make a partial wake lock. It means that your phone is never going to deep sleep and it will drain battery very fast. You have to choose what you want most.

Anyway to make the phone vibrate for calls when in Do Not Disturb mode?

I'd like the phone to still vibrate so I can determine on a case by case basis whether it's worth picking up. Putting my phone on vibrate isn't a solution, because I still want my priority notifications to sound while keeping others silenced... But phone calls, I want to still be able to feel even when I can hear them.
Is that possible? I was using my phone and didn't even realize I was missing a phone call since DND was on...
Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
Has anybody made an app to put custom vibrations on certain contacts?
I am a v10 user so maybe it is different but you can set priorities for favorite contacts only long press do not disturb mode from notification panel.
Press select priorities, set to favorite

Sent from my LG-H901 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I think I'm just going to use a macro to schedule my phone to vibrate instead of using DND mode. Guess I'll just reserve for that for when I'm sleeping rather than when I'm sleeping and working. I don't like the idea that I could so easily miss an important call.
