I've uninstalled, cleared app data, removed my Google account and just about everything else I found while searching for a resolution but I continue to get "No Connection: Couldn't connect to the server" when I fire up Google +. This issue does not seem repeatable on my N10. Has anyone else run into this issue?

I had a quick look through this area and didn't see anything about it so hopefully someone will be able to help.
I was running stock 4.2.1 unlocked and rooted on my Nexus 7 and everything had been fine but in the last couple of days 3 apps haven't been able to update properly.
The Play app tried to update Nexus Media Importer, BBC iPlayer and Facebook but every time it tried it left a message for each saying:
"Update for <app name> could not be downloaded due to an error (Error while retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])"
Everything else seems to work OK and my Nexus has just updated to 4.2.2 but the error persists.
I tried uninstalling Nexus Media Importer but get a similar error when trying to reinstall it.
I looked in 'Storage' and found that somehow it was using .98GB of my RAM so I uninstalled some stuff and got it down to 748MB (still a lot?) but still I cannot install Nexus Media Importer or update BBC iPlayer and Facebook - same error.
Any ideas? I can browse and do everything else so my Internet connection is fine and my 'phone updated BBC iPlayer and Facebook without any problems so it's definitely local to the Nexus.
Also what does 'Apps (app data and media content)' refer to other than the obvious? It shows pictures, videos, downloads, etc. separately and I don't have that many apps installed so I'm bothered as to why it's using so much RAM. (All cache is cleared, BTW)
Searching here I found something about stopping Google Services Framework and clearing data followed by a restart but that didn't do it, also I have a second Google Play account so I switched to that but it was the same.
In case anyone goes looking for the same problem in future, the cure was to delete the main email account that the Play store uses (Settings / Accounts / Google), then recreate it and all will be well. It will delete emails, calendar entries, etc. but they'll be reloaded when you log back in so nothing will be lost.
I keep getting every few hours a notification that says Notification: Request permission for (my gmail account) and when I select the notification it says Unfortunately the process com. Google. android. gsf login has stopped.
Anyone know how I can correct this?
I'm having the same problem. It started happening after 4.3 update.

Some people have found My Tracks to be the culprit.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
It worked for me.
What I did was go into My Tracks app > Settings > Google
Disable 'Sync Google Drive' and re-enable it.
Thanks jasonsf.

I've been having this issue with my LG Optimus L9 and while some of the solutions worked, everytime the phone is powered off, the error would return; each time more difficult to fix than the last.
It reached a point where I factory reset the phone and the error remained, preventing me to login to google account and thus having a smartphone without the smart (no access to app store, just the phone).
There were no solutions to help me solve this. I eventually found the root app GoogleLoginService.apk and downloaded it. Once I reinstalled it to my phone, it worked like new. So simple.
Hope this helps someone else
I have recently installed cyanogenmod 11-20131124-albinoman887-jfltexx onto my galaxy s4, and I am having issues with facebook not showing any images and messenger not working properly as well. Everything else seems to work fine. Facebook did initially work well, but (i think) after I accidently clicking update for the facebook app from blackmarket appstore, it started to not show any images. Is there a fix for this? This might be an obscure situation.
also I did try clearing cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling, ect. maybe its the problem with the rom?
Help!
I'm unable to download or update any app on my LG G2 (international version) for a couple of days now. I keep getting an error that says "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-0]"
Here are all the things i've done to try and solve the problem (but didn't work):
- Delete and re-added my Google account
- Cleaned all the cache and data on Google Play app and other related services/apps
- Reboot the device (after doing the steps above)
- Reset default apps and app preferences
- Uninstall all updates from Google Play
- Rolled back and installed older versions of Google Play (tried 2 previous versions)
What did work was creating a new Google account but i don't see this as a solution since all my paid apps are tied to my original account. And i'm trying to avoid doing a factory reset.
I'm at my wits end trying to fix this. My original account doesn't seem to have any problems when trying to access any of Google's other services (Gmail, Youtube, GDrive, etc.), it's just Google Play that's giving me a lot of grief.
Anybody else experiencing this problem? Is there a way to fix this?

The problem seems to be on Google server side. I have the same problem on my S5 mini and several other users here on xda have reported the same issue.

Me too! I have this problem on my Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 7 (2012). I have tried all the supposed fixes and the problem remains.
Just got my fire hd10 and have everything set up almost completely how I want it.
I'm having an issue syncing the chrome browser to an account. When I try to sync, it says "Could not connect to the sync server"
Anyone know why this might be happening?
Has anyone else had this and if so how did you fix it?
