Note 3 charging dock disconnect - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

//opps charging port not dock
Hi guys,
I recently got a Note 3 and I noticed that when I apply a small amount pressure down on the charger when it's plugged in or when I pull down on the plug, it disconnects the device. Is this normal or do I have a faulty charging port?
Thanks!

Nexus 7 Dock not charging

Hello,
I need help with a charging dock I purchased ASUS 90-XB3XOKDS00030- Dock for Nexus 7 1st Version
the purpose of this dock was because my kid destroyed the micro-USB connector anyhow I've tried the charging cable that was used
to connect my N7 but when the tablet is on the doc it does not say say the table is charging nor do i see the little lighting bolt inside
the battery indicating that the table is being charged. My table is rooted and is running on paroniod android.
is there any settings i have to press within the tablet to have the N7 recognize its being charged from the Dock?
any feedback would be appreciated.
thanks,
All I can suggest is check the contacts. Make sure it is firmly seated on the pogo pins and that nothing is obstructing the contacts.
2 days 19 hours on battery???? How do you do it??
I'm having exactly the same issue, the dock arrived today and the Nexus which already had a flat battery isn't showing any signs of life. Did it get yours to work? I'm on Stock 4.4.2.
Update - It was charging after all but unlike when charging from the USB socket it doesn't show any charging indicators when it is off and charging from the dock.

[Q] Official Samsung Qi charging problem

Ok so I bought official charging backplate for my Note 4 and my wife's S5 along with two separate Samsung mini charging plates. Last night we installed the cases and place our phones on their own pad. Mine was in the living room and hers in the bedroom. My phone was at about 50% before I popped it on the charging pad. When I placed it on there I got the charging beep on the phone, green light on the pad and a little message that the phone was charging wirelessly. Same with my wife's phone. Woke up this morning and the battery percentage didn't move on either of our phones. My phone is still at 50%ish and she reported her phone didn't charge as well.
What gives? Any suggestions? Both our phone show charging when on the pads and the green light turns on which means it is charging correctly as per the instruction booklet.
Check the specs on that pad and see how much it outputs. I suspect it is not enough for these larger phones. It may just be enough that they don't lose charge. I use the TYLT Vu Wireless Charging pad and it charges up over night on my Note 4 very reliably.
you need a high power usb connection for charging pads and a good pad.
i have a choetech, itian and a few others which work well IF they are connected to a high power usb port otherwise they dont work. some of them will flash leds or the phone will say connect/disconnect continuously. they need to be connected to a usb wall wart or computer socket or car cig lighter port directly. a usb hub or old usb 1.0 port will not do. a low power charger will also not do but that is less likely. chances are youre not supplying it with enough power and/or not aligning correctly.
So last night I made sure that all apps were closed and that the phone was exactly centered on the pad. This morning it was at 100%. It's a 2a charger that came with the pad and since there is about 50% loss with these charger I'm assuming it charges around 1a once it hits the battery. Seems to work now. Thanks!
phone shouldnt be centered on the pad. the coils are offset by around 3/4-1 inch from the center so the phone will be a bit high (or low depending on how you place it). obviously if you have the 3 coil qi charging mat/rectangular plate instead of the 1 coil disks/plates then you can just throw it on in anywhere and it will charge.

[Q] Galaxy S5 not charging except with PC

I've been having issues with battery on my S5 for months since my purchase in late September. I have recently just bought another USB 3.0 adapter[ Insignia 3' USB 3.0 from Best Buy] which seemed to rectify my slow charge/short life problem. I recently used a Samsung USB wall adapter and it charged to 100% VERY quickly. The battery lasted for almost 2 days with regular use, being used to only a half day usually. So I had used a Micro USB charger rated at 5V = 550 mA and this would not work. I tried plugging my cable into a Samsung 5v = .7A adapter and still no luck. The cable lights up with an LED on the end when it has current, and it was lighting up on the wall but the phone does not charge, however it does charge on the PC. I've also been experiencing several issues with functionality, such as not being to control the phone sometimes because of the screen flashing, this happening after making a call I did not place. Would a factory reset potentially clear up this problem. Thanks in advance.
The stock samsung charger is 5.3v 2A (2000mA) you will need something with at least those specs to charge it properly
550mA is only 1/4 the power you need, and will likely pop the charger
0.7A is still only 700mA and less than half the power you need (2000mA / 2A)

[Hardware]Charging issues?

My brother's nexus 7 charges very slowly, if at all. I recently replaced the charging port (needed doing). I have checked all connections from the battery to the charging port to the motherboard. The charging port is fine, and so is the charger. Any other ideas? It does list as charging the whole time when plugged in, so it must be getting at least some charge.
