Black spots on camera experiance. - Xperia Z General

My experience.
My backplate had cracks and needed to be replaced so I taught I look at the camera that has black spot syndrome.
Tried to clean it with compressed air.no use.
Dissembeled cameras lens part (needs soldering) and cleaned sensor.
Looks like some spots are gone but most of them are there.
No thinking that the problem isnt sensor but lenses.to be exact between lenses part that cant dissasemble easily.
Has enyone tried to fix it by himself?

No. I've simply returned it because it's not my duty to fix it. This shouldn't happen in the first place (no cracks, never put it in water, always had a case etc).

Spot on camera

Hi everyone, i have realized of a little spot on camera, anyone else have this problem? What do you recommend me to do?
Thanx
Check the lens for any dust particles or bit of trash. If nothing is visible on the lens, it may be a dust particle on the sensor itself. I see this from time to time on my DSLR.
IF it is on the sensor you should definitely return it for another phone, there's no way you could possibly clean it yourself.

Note 4 Camera Problems?

Hello friends,
So I have been using my note 4 for almost 10 days now and ever since day 1 I noticed that the camera is so distorted, even with good lighting conditions, Also the focus circle keeps coming and going on it's own...is there a focus problem?? Also there are so many camera settings that are missing like Landscape mode, Night mode...etc etc.
My note 4 is the SM-9I0C Model.
Thanks in advance.
did you remove the 2 plastic sheets on the lens ? scratch it with your fingernail.
if they are gone then replace the note. bad camera probably.

Landscape mode and night mode I believe come on automatically depending on the conditions when you take the picture.
As for focus circle, that's probably continuous auto focus.
TWO plastic protection films on the camera lens ?
Sure ?
I found just one; the one with the circular hole in the middle.
Shall I try scraping off the lens glass ?

Ok thanks for the info Jonathan.
two. one flat plastic covering the whole lens and one plastic with a hole in the middle.
Maintenance Issue *Bleh*
Feel free to call the Samsung customer help center, they may help you bring it in for repair by describing them your problem :fingers-crossed:

if there are two of them how can i get the second one off?! I tried to peel of something that looks like it's plastic protector with my nail but only my nail peeled off
In the camera app, next to the shutter button, there is a button for modes. In the modes list, you can download sport mode from the play store. That mode reduces the auto focus.

i peeled the hole one off by putting my finger in the middle and scraping outwards. peeled the non hole one off with my fingernail at the edge of the lens peeling upward.
Hi, I wonder if someone could help me... I wanted to download additional mode for the camera, Sports Shot, however it requires signing into Samsung account and that seems to be a problem. Maybe because I'm rooted? I have tried defrosting all apps related to Knox but it did not help. I have even tried to reset my Samsung account password and still receiving "processing failed" error when signing into the account. Does anyone know what to do to be able to download it? Or perhaps, does anybody have the app/mode itself?
Edit: all sorted - if you have a same problem, try the following:
go to https://account.samsung.com and complete all of your details, log out and all should work again, did for me
Hmmm...
It FEELS like there's something more you can peel off. But I'm not sure if that's a) possible to peel off, and b) if it's meant to be peeled off. Maybe a kind of glass protection.
Wouldn't make too much sense stacking two protective foils at once on the lens.
As my photos taken with the Note 4 turn out to real great, I don't wish to change anything.
But of course I am tempted to trying to peel off that additional layer, if it's possible at all. - But we know how it is: Once removed, you just cannot undo it 100 %.
replace your phone while you can if your camera focus is not working. ( if that what you mean ). because I have the same issue and if you surfed the internet you will find some guys suffering from this issue,,

no matter what I did it wouldnt focus on anything more than 3-4 ft away and focus was slow.

Panel Gap Between Screen and Body Bottom Right

Just got my S8 today and was looking it over before I got it setup.
Here is what it looks like: http://imgur.com/a/C6m1j
For reference here is the bottom left: http://imgur.com/a/XZd1s
Do others have this gap my old phone is a nexus 6P and on that same corner the screen got a bit loose over time and I dont want the same issue with this phone also worried about that gap effecting the water resistance of the phone. Am I nitpicking or should I return it?
On my S8+, the right side of the screen has a much larger gap than on the left side. I can even get with my fingernail between in. Tomorrow my phone will be send in and they will decide whether or not it's a manufacturing failure.
I don't pay 900 bucks for a phone which isn't 100% fine. And I don't know how such a gap influences the IP68...

All phones will have some tolerances (gaps). These are even mentioned in manuals.
I have the same issue. I returned it to the store but unfortunately Samsung don't wanna recognize the issue and insisted that I broke my phone. I also read comments from other sites claiming that Samsung will tell you all possible excuses just to avoid replacing a unit.
I'll just take back the unit since I can only insert a few millimeters of very thin paper in it so I'm assuming that the unit is still fully sealed. It's just that maybe they don't fitted/assembled the screen properly.

Nope. The adhesive strip is very wide.
It is normal.
Mine also have a small gap on the top of the phone, but not too big, only paper can slip in.
Last week I go to Samsung service center, they perform a test to mark sure my phone is fully sealed. And no problem has been found, so they didn't replace it for me.
If the water won't go into my phone through the gap, it is still OK for me...

water might not get in but dirt will still accumulate in these gaps. I have all along the top and bottom right on mine and dirty is clearly getting stuck in that gap, easily visible just looking at the phone head-on.

Can clean it with water?
My gap not really big, but sometimes hair will stuck in it too.
I always wash my phone, I didn't buy any case and screen protector for it, because I want to wash it... Hahaha
I think I won't change to any other non waterproof phone in the future...

I had exactly the same issue. After a while in the sun, the bottom right edge came loose. I went to a service center and they replaced:
* the screen
* the entire frame on the side
* the battery (?!).
It was under warranty so cost me nothing except waiting time (took around two hours).
The whole phone looks and feels better now, especially the bottom part is nom much better aligned. Apparently this is a known issue, they recognised it immediately and had everything to fix it. Someone in the shop said 3% of the S8's had this issue.
So definately bring it in for repair. Probably they should better give a whole new phone, but ok, it's fixed.

Cover sensor stuck 'activated'

So I broke my Note 3's (N900W8) display at some point last year and let it sit for...a long while.
I replaced the screen about a month ago and I've noticed that the cover sensor is...well, stuck. It always thinks there's a cover attached and it's 'closed', resulting in an unusable device.
Occasionally it'll work fine for a few days, then go back to this state.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this outside of recompiling my AOSP ROM of choice and disabling the cover support?
I definitely don't have anything magnetic in or on the phone.

For disabling the cover I would do a hardware trick. Remove your back cover, use Tesa Film on the chip in the back cover. Put cover back. No it should run like without S-view cover. You should also dial *#0*#0 to go to the service menu and check all your sensors to see which is damaged.

Well, that's the fun thing.
I don't even have an S-view cover. It just acts like the magnetic sensor is on all the time...

Mi A1 Telephoto Lens

Hello!
So here is short story:
I bought Mi A1 last year and everything worked normally. Few months later i dropped it somehow and camera glass broked. I am waiting for glass to arrive any time soon so i can replace it. But there is strange problem.
I switched to manual mode in camera app and tryed to focus manually (from macro to infinity). Everything worked normally on first lens.
I did same thing on second lens (focus manually from micro to infinity) and what i saw is that its not focusing at anything, its just stuck, nothing. I didnt modded this phone in any way (i did installed Resurection Remix but i flashed stock rom long time ago, like in first week i got it, but thats about it)
Could be that my telephoto lens auto focus mechanism died? Could be that its about glass thats broken? I hear motor trying to focus when i adjust focus (thats normall). What should i do if my telephoto lens still dont want to focus even after camera glass replacement? What are my options? Should i back device to shop after repairing and say that was issue since i got this device? Because its still in warranty?
Edit: Forgot to say that i am on stock latest Pie, issue was there in Oreo too, but i am 100% sure its not software issue.
No one?
Try to move the lens with a pen tip and see if it moves. I've just tried now my camera and works fine. Maybe the shock caused damage.
Okay so litle part of glass on first lens just fell out and i can see first lens, i tryed to adjust focus on first lens and what i saw is that camera moves up and down when i am switching focus (moving part). After i did that i realise that glass on second lens (telephoto) did penetrated a bit to lens, so i think that maybe glass just blocked telephoto lens from going up and trying to focus, and only thing that can help is to remove glass and free the motor, could be that problem? I bought camera glass from Ali Express month ago and still waiting to arrive.
Here is photo if it is from any help
Just get rid of that mess man, it's no use that glass it makes things worse for your phone. Crack the camera open and try again
Trimis de pe al meu Mi A1 folosind Tapatalk
FIXED!!!
Glass arrived, replaced succesfully, everything working fine!
Telephoto lens focus again!
