I'm on 4.3 and MK2 on my Galaxy S4.
I'm on stock. I haven't even rooted yet.
How can I change battery, wifi, Icons ect.. safely?
I know I would need to root and install TWRP to flash but I want to know what are the other steps.
Do I need to do anything to this stock ROM before I flash?

Hi, I rooted my phone because I was tired of all the bloatware. But I never actually got around to do anything else with my device (I didn't flash any custom rom)
So my question is. How can I do a full unroot of my Samsung Galaxy S4 gti9505. I want to be able to update to kitkat, and that is not possible with my rooted device. I tried to do an SuperSU unroot, and that removed root from my phone, yet, it still says that my device has been modified.
After you did your unroot. You have to do a system reset in order for things to get back to normal. So backup your data and go for it then update.

full format (boot, cache, system) and flash a firmware stock.
I can't seem to find a thread where there are steps from how to get custom rom when you begin with stock without root.
I had an s2 and I could flash philz recovery (temporary recovery) and install custom rom from there, but I don't know how to do it on the S4.
Is there any tutorial from how to get the custom rom installed on the s4?
(this is the hardest part, the rest is simple)
ps: yes, I know how to recover and fix broken phone, I always use a AOSP rom, but I can't seem to understand how to get a custom rom installed on a phone that is 100% stock without root.
Nevermind, I know how to do it.
I was able to install CWM and tried PACMAN RC3 and Paranoid Rom and they were great but the problem was with battery charging
I plugged in the phone for 30 mins and battery level was 45 and charging LED was ON
after 30 mins I checked and found battery 40? I tried both these roms, I have done data wipe/factory reset, cache wipe option from CWM recovery and also format system in mounts option
I couldnt find wipe battery stats in advanced. MIUI rom and Touchwiz didnt have this issue. Should I try another recovery? like Philz?
Can I return to stock rom I have downloaded it from sammobile and can I flash it through Odin so everything is back to stock? How to do it and should I install same rom that came with my phone? 4.4.2 or can I also use 4.2 Jellybean rom but I have Knox Bootloader because battery drains faster on kitkat
Is this with the stock cable?
If you downloaded the latest ROM from sammobile.com as you claim, then you would have seen the instructions on the download page on how to use Odin to flash it. If you use a Jellybean ROM on your phone you may get lucky and only get a "Kernel is not SEAndroid Enforcing" warning on every boot. However, it's best to stick with the KitKat ROMs, especially as you have a Knox-enabled bootloader.
Once the ROM is installed, if you choose to remain on stock, root and debloat the ROM to get rid of most of the battery hogs. Otherwise go ahead and install the custom ROM of your choosing.

I can't find a custom rom that is most stock and flashable through clockworkmod. they are very modded touchwiz roms
I will install stock rom, root and debloat the rom? Is there some app to do that or should I use root explorer?
how to get root on 4.4.2 since it has Knox? should I use CF-autoroot thru odin?
Use Root Explorer, go through and debloat using the list on the forum. One thing I DON'T recommend is to remove any files from /system/lib. You don't save a great deal of space by deleting the files from there, and if you do delete them you'll lose screen rotation capability as the file which allows screen rotation to function is related to Samsung Hub.
For root, if you care about Knox, and the Knox flag isn't tripped, you'll need to downgrade your modem temporarily via Odin, run Towelroot, then upgrade your modem, again via Odin. If you don't give a damn about Knox or the Knox flag is tripped, then run CF-Autoroot.
I want to root my N910F but there is one thing i need to know before i do this, i dont want to flash a custom rom, just stock rom with root acces.
I know something about rooting and flashing from my other phones.
What happens if i root my Note4, and samsung rolls out an update.
I know i wont get OTA's, but what happens if i download the update from sammobile, and i flash it via Odin, will i loose my files and settings everytime i get an update ?
Or is there an option to just "Update" the stock rom ?

If you flash a rom from sam mobile via Odin it will do a factory reset on your phone(data not internal).Depending from your options that you enable in Odin it could and could not delete your internal storage...and no in Odin there is not such thing as...update unfortunately something like that is only achievable with a custom recovery and flashing but not all the the time if a rom is very much different from another or their base is different a data wipe is a must.
In my experience flashing a basic update over your current rom will work if it was stock to begin with. Root will be removed when you do this. I would not recommend doing this as you could cause problems down the road. I would really not do it for major OS changes like KK to LP. Whenever I flash, I backup what I need to keep, full wipe with custom recovery, then flash and restore data. As mentioned you can't really update from Odin.
Just root the phone that's the reason u came to XDA if Samsung pushes out update it will be available for download on here

Guys i have 910F...Running ANK4 KITKAT. I tried to root it with CF-Auto-Root-trlte-trltexx-smn910f. The rooting tutorial said i had to disable auto reboot and should perform a battery pullout after rooting....everything went fine untill i pulled out the battery and put it back in after root...the phone turns on and says "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" And just restarts...i am stuck in a bootloop whenver i try to root it.....i was able to get the phone back online after flashing stock 4.4.4 in ODIN, but what am i doing wrong here....why cant i root this phone?
This happened to me yesterday - you cannot root a stock rom v5.1.1 with CF Auto Root, if you try it will end up in a bootloop. There is a way around this if you search the Note 4 CF Auto Root thread - pages 121 and 124 if i remember rightly.
But i am not on 5.1 i am on stock 4.4.4....anyone else might wana help?

4.4.4 what the hell is that?
If you try gingerbread, you will never update a rom. The best android on earth. (just after the eclair, froyo was a major disappointment)

Are you trying to keep a stock ROM and root it?
I would upgrade to lolipop. I run AICP on my n910f and I love it, best ROM for our phone at the moment in my opinion. To go to a custom lolipop from kitkat you'll need to first flash a lolipop stock ROM, here Then you can flash your custom recovery via odin. Then you can flash any custom ROM via zip file from your recovery software as usual. Custom ROMs are usually rooted by default already so once you've flashed it you're already rooted. If you search the forum you can find a rooted stock ROM if that is your preference.

Did you try a factory data reset after using autoroot? Go into the stock recovery and do a factory data reset after auto root and it may boot after that. If you want to keep 4.4.4 stock ROM then just flash an already rooted stock ROM. They're in the ROM section for your device. That's what I would do if you're having issues with cf auto root.
