Hi.
U should install Better Battery Stats app.
Then post "other" and "partial wakelocks" screenshots here after 4 hours.
Cheers.

U should uncheck the touch sounds, dialling keypad tone and screen lock sound.
It's using 20.4% of wakelocks.
Uncheck contact sync in settings/general/Accounts/whatsapp and also uncheck all google syncings (contacts, calendar, mymagazines, etc..).
Open Google Settings app, go to Location and set Location History and Location reporting to "off".
Below it, open Android Device Manager and uncheck Remotely report this device.
Turn off weather widget refresh settings (if u have).
U should do 2-3 battery discharge cycles if u haven't already did.
Hopefully, this should work.

I already use this setting....

It's not just you man! Battery got worse in newest firmware, there is no way to fix it, there is no way to downgrade. Just go with it and hope an update fixes it soon. Cheers.

We all do mate! WE ALL DO!!!

For me, I'm having 2 days 10 hours and 12% battery remaining.
2hours screen on, MJ7 firmware.
This is only on my first discharge cycle.
Fair amount of using whatsapp, calls and sms and applied all the settings above.
I don't know if this is a good start, but will have to wait for more few cycles.
Notice that the google play services is using too much of wakelocks on my device..
Thinking of removing the google play services updates and needs further tests.

According to info in Rumours regarding 2.3.4,, It is also a lot smoother, and apparently no lag at all with the home screen button and, power on and off. I have not tried this myself though...

I'm on KE7 and I have great battery life, so please don't spread rumors!
GMAIL + Calender + Contacts SYNC is on.
What'sapp Sync is on.
Screen Brightness at 100% all the time.
FTP Server and SSH Server always running.
3G and wifi are on, most of the time I am near wifi.
GPS is always enabled, but obviously only used when I actually start a GPS oriented app, which only happens in the Car, connected to a charger.
Live wallpaper, Beautiful widgets with weather sync.
My phone does around 2 days.
Yes, I have some apps frozen with titanium pro.

This sort of issue would be much easier to resolve if Samsung actually bothered to publish changelogs.
I've just updated to KF1 stock, and the big problem for me is now when I use phone keypad to find contacts it no longer displays contacts who's letters correspond to the numbers I press.
For instance putting 7, 4 in the keypad would fetch up one of my contacts in my phone as "Simon."
Anybody any ideas why this is not happening any more?

Update - i did factory reset . still it didnt help.
should i take to service center .
Thanks
Does the tab feels warm? which is the highest battery usage app?
I used to have a issue whereby the media scanner service gone in an infinite loop scanning for songs in my device..
Have to hardreset to solve it. Normally my overnight drain is 5%, that is with wifi/bluetooth/gps/notification/background sync all on.
My issue was with Exchange. It was draining 30-40% of the battery overnight. After removing my exchange account I lose ~5%
no i am not using wifi all the time .
At night ts on standby wifi off, everything else is off.
even if i put in airplane mode still it drains .
but using the tab ,battery does not drain.
should i go to service center ??
do you have any apps running in the background? do you exit each application you use or just press the 'Home' button?

Well.. i recommend try hard resetting the device before returning it
When i first got the tab from M1, it ran into battery issues,
but mine is because of media scanner service
And when i connect to android debugger, it shows the media scanner trying to read my music files but failed, it goes in a infinite loop, making the tab heats up
Anyway my problem was solved when i hard reset to factory settings.
Plus i don link any of the samsung apps. (email, or social hubs)

Try pulling out your SD card and reset. Run without the SD card for a day to see if it's any better.

I always thought 15% drainage overnight is normal when you were not charging it. as there are many bloatware running in the background.
Anyway, you could install and run Taskiller and you can see Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a lot of background services running.
Not all of those services are useful, like SocialHub, and they cannot be uninstalled, but you can still freeze it with Titanium Backup Pro (a paid app, need root). You could consider other options like force uninstall (with root as well), but it is risky and not recommended.
Nevertheless, plugging your tab to charger while sleeping is good idea as it prolongs the battery life. The smaller the depth of discharge, the longer the battery will last. Always avoid full-discharging.

Android System using too much battery

Hi,guys!
I can't figure out why the Android System is using more battery than others. I feel like it is awful.2 hours and17 minutes of off the charger time and I'm at 86% with wifi-on and leave my phone on airplane . I have been spending most of my time trying to find ways to save battery and it is barely working, or at best working inconsistently. I might need to try a replacement. What do you guys think?
Does anybody knows how to fix it? I'm out of ideas.
I had the same problem on my moto x. I had to uninstall all the updates to anything google related.
Sent from my XT1060 using XDA Free mobile app
It is your Google account. Probably Google + or photos since you have WiFi enanled.
its the same with my s5, after all day when i check my battery stats android system uses the most battery. i'm trying all things to sort it out
Yes, sync troubles… I think that too…

I don't have it quite as bad but removing carrier IQ has helped a bit, Go get system tuner and go into app mgr and find android system press details then open and go through activities, receivers and services and make sure everything you see that says IQAgent gets unchecked. This will help you stay out of ServiceIQ's eyes and also help your battery as your entire phone is debugged through those apps.(Another words I can't find the darn post that I used to help me)
Even with my friends verizon s5 lasting 9 days on a battery >.> He gets around 15 percent android system usage

I have prepared a short guide to do that if it would help you... Here is the link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799642
How exactly is this bad? The guy has close to 30 minutes for 10% of battery life, so proportionally close to 5 hours total screen on time for a full charge and this is supposed to be abnormal? Screen on time is purely on what you should base yourself first because you have no idea on what the phone reports as "Android system". As far as I know, if you had 5 minutes of screen on time instead of 30, that would be a problem worth investigating....but 30 minutes for 10%? You should not try to find issue where there are none.
Let me show you why you can't rely on phone stats. Here is my screenshot for today. Just from looking at it, you can already see i have some kind of huge wakelock problem, severe battery drain, especially if you consider I only have about 1h15 minutes of screen on time. Anybody looking at this could see that there is a problem with my phone. The fact is, there isn't. I had a 4h16 hour conversation today, but, my phone only reports voice calls taking up 12% of my battery life. Thats because other features are not included in the voice calls tab, like how the sensors have to always check if i'm close or not to the screen to turn it on or off, or the fact that it has to manage my wifi connection while using my mobile connection that is about 1 bar in my room. There are too many unknown factors to solely rely on what you see here, or on OPs screenshot. If you have 30 mins of screen time, and have 10% battery drain, thats fantastic. Don't forget, only 1 gen ago, having 3 hours of screen time with a full charge was awesome.
Now, I am doing what I read from a guide. I just plug it in every night and only use Ultra Power Saving in the day. From the guide,I would have full internet, phone and message capabilities with maximum battery life each day. Then I can leave off UPS on weekends and holidays to enjoy all the other apps.

(Q) my phone won't go to deep sleep ?

my phone note 3 n900 with official Russian lollipop and with leaked one
i really start to hate the phone and i think of sell it because of this problem

my phone wont stand a half of day and screen on time in best time 4 hours and sometimes just 3 or 2 hours
what is the problem and how to fix it
see the screenshot
Looks like you've got a wakelock. Tried Wakelock detector? (If you're rooted.)
2-4h screen on time is very normal, by the way.
Have you tried removing the MicroSD for a while, if you're using one?
Sent From My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 Using Tapatalk

Google Battery drain

Got my mate 7 A few weeks ago. Love it. Getting awesome sot (8.5) the last charge mainly using mobile data..
But today google contact sync is draining so much battery. I've exported and deleted all contacts from google. Disabled back up my phone in settings and even disabled the app in settings and it still opens... I don't really want to have to root it. Any ideas I may not have tried?
Also wonder,my phone is rooted though, well, didn't want to freeze any Google services but some features like backup system is stubbornly running even after disable in settings. Don't know any good medicine from this issue.

Yes I know that. The thing that drives me crazy is that I have no control over running background apps, like backup, that were disabled via Google provided interface. This is type of cheating to have an interface that doesn't do much.

I froze with TB google app, then defrozed it and converted to user app, also didnt enable google now service, after all I have drain 10% per 6 hours at night, while phone is on extreme battery mode and just laying on the night stand without anyone touching it. But the one million dollar question is: How much battery is lost while idle overnight?
This is the real question I think, because in all my tests, no matter the build version, I have got l least 5 hours of SOT (17 hours of use in total), which is not bad,
but most people get at least 7 hours SOT (in some 30+ hours) I guess I use it too frequently.
So, that would be the main question.
Please, do try to answer and tell us. Thank you!

I have already told it in this discussion, I have frost (later removed actually) google app system application, and fresh installed it from the market as user app.
As I said earlier though, now I use unrooted phone with locked bootloader, in completely original state (except I use tsf shell and disabled all unused system apps) and no longer have any problem with battery.

Guys I noticed that now phone drains battery faster when just browsing internet..
Had 20% and after 10 mins got 15%
Why it is so draining .. it is just browsing pages.. no video no audio at all..
