Hi I'm having problems turning off notification's for Gmail. Now I have done the setting to turn it to silent in the app but it still whistles. Also noticed it whistling for Facebook (even tho it is also set to silent) and I had it go off for eBay as well as the eBay sound? Any ideas?

Anyone know how to stop your notification sounds from blaring through the phone while on a call? That is without putting the phone on silent of course. The text notifications are really annoying when you are talking to someone.
Cheers

Why my phone keep vibrate while screen off?
Google changed things around with 4.2. Now the phone will always vibrate on silent if it had a sound notification. From what I've heard, its not a bug.

That's a really terrible idea if this isn't a bug. The fact that it vibrates when I get new mail on my g-mail account is really bugging me. My g-mail is highly active and it vibrates every few minutes. I've tried everything and can't disable it. Really annoying.
I apologize if this has been covered, my nook makes a notification type noise whenever it receives any type of data I've went to settings /sounds and unchecked everything and it still does it,I am rooted running cyanogen mod 7.2,my granddaughter was playing angry birds on it the other day thinking she done something

Have you tried lowering the notification volume? Go to sounds-volume and slide notification volume all the way to the left.
Lowering the volume wasn't an option, the sound came through when listening to music, ect that's why it was annoying, anyways I did a full factory reset and that solved the problem

Hi guys,
Someone else noticed a back speaker click (like when you pull a mic from an amplifier) when it turn on even when the volume is set to zero?
It's pretty annoying since when it's silence you hear that every time you receive a message or some app uses sound even when volume is turned off..
Any thought?

Bump?
This might be a stupid question and I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't find a thread about it...
At work I have my phone on silent and my watch still vibrated when I got emails or messages etc. I've recently upgraded to lollipop. Is there a way to allow watch to vibrate when phone is silent?
Sorry if its a silly question, still getting the hang on lollipops odd settings!

Yes you need to have the phone set to "silent" and not on priority, the phone will not make noise but the watch will vibrate. Make sure that the volume settings on the watch (when you pull down from the top) is a set to "interruptions." You can also turn on "mute connected phone" in setting on android wear.
