Rooted/TWRP installed. Updated to 4.4.2, lost root. Rerooted with Wug's toolkit successfully, and I was able to put a TWRP backup on my laptop.
When I went to do a TWRP backup on the Nexus I got a supine robot with an open chest that had a red triangle surrounding an exclamation mark.
Now, if I do a boot to the recovery screen I get to choose "recovery" or "bootloader". However if I choose either one I am taken back to the "choose" page.
Suggestions? I wonder if the root toolkit wasn't ready to work with the update?

I've gone through all the steps to root, unlock, backup using cwm, but i keep on coming up with issues on bootup after updating via fastboot. any ideas? when it does properly boot up it shows the updated M screen, and the att screen, but then stalls out. also, I've seen 2 android warning screens, one with the android guy and a white triangle with a yellow exlamation point in it, and also have seen the android guy on its back with a red shaded triangle with a black exlamation point in it.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have 2 Atrixs, one was at 2.3.4 and the other was 2.3.6, both are experiencing the same problems
android system recovery attempt at applying update failed due to e:signature verification failed
If you're going to flash raw images via fastboot, the order shouldn't really matter. Just make sure you wipe everything before flashing.
wiping down the cache was what i did, at least thats what the cwm instructions were telling me. At that point i rebooted and entered into fastboot, flashed the files in the exact order displayed over at andriod police, rebooted, and stalled out during boot up at the att screen.
Since the files were flashed and should be there on the atrix, what would you suggest i do?
[Q] Nexus 7 - Stuck on "Booting Downloaded Image"Bootloader - booting Custom recovery
Hello,
I am stuck rooting my device. Everything goes well until it flashes my custom recovery. It will flash it but when it attempts to boot it, it is just stuck on bootloader saying "Booting downloaded image" in the top left corner, when it should do it instantly.
Android 4.4 - JWR66Y
Tried w/ Wug's toolkit and fastboot. Both have the same problem.
Last night I got KitKat OTA tried to install on Nexus 10, failed and got stuck at that boot screen with the circles. Tried to sideload still failed with some error 7. Tried to flash stock recovery over clockwork, failed the first time, said bootloader ok on the second and now when I boot recovery I just get an icon of the android on his back with the panel open. I just want to install 4.4 please what the hell do I do?
Thanks.
Download nexus 10 toolkit and flash 4.4.

If you do not need to keep your data, just grab the factory image here and extract and run the bat file.
If you can get to the stock recovery and still want to sideload the OTA, once you are the dead droid recovery, press Volume up and power at the same time and then select the "Apply Update from adb" and follow the instructions from the orange text that will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Be sure you have adb installed on your pc and that you can fastboot to your device.
Good luck.
So i have an original Nexus 7, Which has an unlocked bootloader, teamwin recovery v2.6 and completely stock apart from cereberus flashed in recovery.
I am currently in an area where i have very very limited access to internet for 10 days, so am slightly frustrated about that....
4.4 updated downloaded overnight before i travelled and i noticed once i arrived it was ready for install. I let the update go through, and teamwin recovery asked if i want to fix the superuser permissions, to which i said yes.
The N7 rebooted and has been stuck on the spinning circles since then.
I have access to the boot loader and to the recovery but it appears i have USB debug switched off so cannot acces it with adb
I tried a factory reset from recovery but this hasn't helped
Is there a way to get a ROM onto it so i can flash it from recovery, the start from scratch?
Or have a royally screwed it?
OTA from 5.0.1 to 5.0.2. fails. After reboot, all I see is a robot on his back with a red exclamation mark and the message "error".
After a couple of minutes, the nexus reboots to 5.0.1.
Bootloader is locked, but root checker shows device is rooted.
Is there any way to be able for OTA to complete?
TIA

Download the whole 5.0.2 factory image and flash it with wugs toolkit and set it to no wipe mode. I did it and it works fine.

Same happened to me. OTA failed twice and kept trying to boot to recovery and then eventually into system.
I just downloaded the factory image and then manually fastboot flashed everything except data (to keep my apps/settings). All is good
