Hi,
Using the default email client on Nexus 4 latest factory build of 4.4 - and wanted to report a problem
If I receive an email send in plain text (from iphone is my test) - the attachment (*.jpg) does not appear. If I check the same email on a different machine etc - all is fine.
Anyone have a solution to this? Or am I the only one? I am using Yahoo mail and connect via IMAP
Thanks
J

Still have this issue - I must be the only person who has this problem then ... strange as I know of another user (not rooted like me).
Anyone else having issues?

If anyone could tell me how to amend the inline MIME part handling of the function MimeUtility.collectParts() - I would be very very grateful!
Or does anyone have 4.3 stock email client???
inline attachments do not work if the sender sends an email from an iPhone... Can anyone help resolve this? Thanks

Bounce - can anyone else test this? Just send an attachment photo from an iphone to a nexus4 running 4.4.2 default email client (Not the gmail one). The only solution so far I have found is to use k9 email client rather than the default.
Can anyone else help test this?

for some reason windows live email and yahoo go email won't work. the email will sync fine but when I try to open up an email via yahoo go it just comes up with a blank white box. the same thing happens when I try to create an email to send via windows live. pop email works fine though. at first I thought it was just yahoo go but its happening in wml also. has anyone been experiencing this also?
i'll post a pic of what im talking about later.
i need some help. somebody help.

yes i fixed it. i deleted it. i'm just gonna wait until yahoo go gamma is released for windows mobile. i understand there is a memory leak problem in yahoo go for wm.
i just hope they didnt abort the wm version. i haven't heard any news about it in a while.
Has anyone else noticed this and found a solution?
I setup HTC Mail to talk to my company's ActiveSync server. It downloads and sends emails just fine, however if an email contains an attachment, I can't retrieve the attachment.
At first I had it setup not to fetch attachments. The email would show there was an attachment with the proper file size, however when I would manually force the download everything comes back as 1kb and won't open.
I changed the setting to retrieve all attachments less than 500kb (which covers 90% of them) and they still won't download and open.
I'm trying out "Exchange" by TouchDown, but seem to be running into the same issue. Even if it worked, I really didn't want to have to use multiple email clients.
Does anyone know if this is resolved in Froyo?
bump
bump anyone?
I think it requires an SD card to be installed. Download refers to /sdcard folder
Hi
I'm having exactly the same problem as you but for the moment I've got no solution have you managed to resolve it ?
If so how?
Thanks
You guys have seen this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=798782
I've installed it right now. At the moment I've some problems loading new emails (sending emails is no problem), but it is really looking great. Especially if you are running a lower density.
Let's give that project on the Captivate forum some boost
Looks great, but have to wait for a while because I really need my exchange

It's working great with GMail btw. I'm able to recieve message from the ssl gmail pop server. I've problems with a non secured 110 pop account though.
and yes exchange is also a problem.
I have same problems receiving email.
I have extract Email.apk and Email.odex from last Samsung Tab published firmware to test if a newer version solves inbox issue.
Problem is i dont know how to deodex it.
Someone can help me?
Note: Attached are files.
Just got my brand new desire hd this morning... looks fabulous.
Before anyone starts screaming that this question has already been asked, I would like to mention that I consulted "search" and didn't find any results.
That being said, is it possible to install push mail on the desire hd without going via gmail (thus, directly from my provider) ? And, if possible, what do I need and how do I proceed ?
I have a second question. I installed swype. I go to "lesson", I get a welcoming screen with the usual blabla and it ends with "push on next" (or something like that, my phone is in Dutch). There is however no "next" button on the screen. I can swype (during the lesson), but I can't get any further. Any suggestion (besides suicide) ???
Thanks a lot for all your very usefull answers
Jan
This question is in wrong section. Anyways, push mail is always there using Exchange accounts (non-gmail)....and on a seperate note where did you purchase the DHD from ?
Thank you for your answer. Where should I place my question ?
I do not use exchange but POP.
I bought the DHD at vodafone (in the Netherlands)
Cheers
Jan

It was push email and ms exchange i'm looking for more info, not POP/IMAP.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I've managed to set up my hotmail account to push mail to my phone, but i cant get to make changes on the server from my DHD. so when i read, delete or move mail on my device, its not happening on my web inbox. i've got the option ticked in the settings, before anyone asks! anyone know how i can resolve this?
Hi folks,
I have a great problem. I have connected my Galaxy SII with our Exchange server. When I am trying to forward an email with an attachment, it downloads the whole attachment first and then sends it to the recipient.
On my HD2 with an Android Rom it forwards the email directly over the exchange server.
I am running the standard Samsung T-Mobile Ger Rom.
not anyone with an idea?
is there no one with the same issue?

Same issue here:
sgs2 with Windows SBS 2003 (Exchange 2003) -> Forwarding working normally
sgs2 with Windows SBS 2011 (Exchange 2010) -> Attachment being downloaded first
Strange behaviour, if anybody find a fix...
