I've tried NukaRom V1.1.0 and CM7..happened the same..even with CM Kernel

Did you reboot to recovery after flashing kernel & mount system before flashing rom
Instructions to flash cm7
go to cwm
mount system
flash percy's cm #2 kernel
reboot to recovery
format system data cache
mount system data cache
flash cm7 zip
flash gapps (optional)
format data
restart
If you get bootloop remove sim card - if it boots change your stock rom firmware via odin
For stock based roms do as above but use a stock based kernel

[Q] Custom ROM, kernel and recovery

Hey everyone!
I would like to flash P.A.C.-MAN ROM on my phone, and also a new kernel, and I need some help with that.
As of right now, I am rooted with DjEmbey's root-method, and have BusyBox and SuperSU installed. I have a regular i9505, XXUAME2, 4.2.2, official device status and all Know related items removed. Do I need to do some kind of updating of my device, before doing any flashing, or do I only have to wipe /data, cache etc.?
I've read some in the P.A.C. Q&A thread on how to flash a custom recovery. But before I flash a new recovery, should I format /data, cache and Dalvik cache? I've heard people recommend TWRP over CWM, is it more stable or have better functionality, is TWRP compatible with P.A.C.?
For a new kernel, I've thought about this one. Is it compatible with P.A.C. ROM?
After I've flashed a custom recovery, should I always format /data, cache, Dalvik cache and fix permissions, before and after every kind of flashing?
Is BusyBox and (or) SuperSU reserved when flashing a new ROM and kernel, will it be included in P.A.C. or do I have to install it manually?
Thanks in advance for all answers
There are plenty of guides and Google is your friend.
Flash recovery via Odin. I use CWM never had a problem. If your nervous about flashing get the SGS4 flasher and flash recovery through the app. Then reboot and jump into recovery volume up + home button + power ( let go of the power button once you see the screen turn on). Do a full wipe cache davlik. I also go to mounts and format /system. Then install your ROM from the SD card. Good luck.
Echoe ROM. Rock Solid. Stable. Blazingly Fast with Adam Kernel.

CREED V4

Hello everyone. I like CREED V4 and tried installing final build but every time I end up with bootloops. Is this rom fail, or I am doing something wrong?
I followed this tutorial:
1. Flash stock DDLK2 rom as Xicor Yagami said in his thread
2. Boot into CWM recovery
3. Wipe data
4. Wipe cache
5. Wipe dalvik cache (just in case)
6. Wipe battery stats (just in case)
7. Flash CREED V4 rom
8. Reboot
If I am doing something wrong, tell me the right tutorial for installing
After flashing stock DDLK2,follow the steps:
1.Boot into CWM.
2.Under mounts and storage,format system,data and cache.
3.Go back and wipe data and cache.
4.Again go to mounts and storage and mount all the partitions (All should show unmount)
5.Install zip from zip sd card and choose Creed V4 rom file.
6.When the installation is completed,go back and wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
7.Once done with above steps, reboot the phone!
This tutorial works for every rom.

[Q] Reincarnation not booting

I am using GT S5360. I have installed reincarnation pre final and it didn't passed the screen where samsung galaxy Y GTs5360 comes.
I followed the whole procedure but not working. Any help ???
Did you flash kernel?
Mount system?
Remember that naturalizer or touchwiz rom isn't for galaxy y
after you flash percys cm#2 kernel you must reboot to recovery and wipe system data and cache before you flash the rom
the steps are as follows
go into cwm
mount system
flash percys #2 kernel
reboot to recovery
format system data cache
mount system data cache
flash rom zip
format data
restart
if the rom still doesnt boot after that take out your sim card
if the rom now boots you need to change your baseband by flashing a different stock rom firmware via odin
I flashed the jellybean version... I have restored the backup now and i followed all the steps... I flashed the zip file of kernel, rebooted recovery, formatted system, data, cache and then installed the rom... But it stucks on bootscreen... Dosen't even show the bootanimation...

[Q] PureKAT 1.5 causes a bootloop

Hi there,
I installed the PureKAT 1.5 ROM (based on stock) according to the instructions in its thread but my samsung galaxy y started in a bootloop.
Do you know what caused the bootloop or if I need to install a different kernel for that ROM?
By the way, this is the thread of the ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672116
Thanks.
I looked at instructions on thread and it doesnt say to mount system data cache before flashing zip
so
go into cwm
goto mounts and storage
format system data cache
mount system data cache (if all mounted it should display "unmount system" "unmount data" and so on)
then flash the zip
you can be on any kernel that supports stock based roms
if you still bootloop flash stock rom via odin first

Thanks for the quick response sir!
I'll immediately restore the stock rom via odin and then follow your instructions.
I will post what happens
Bootloop persists
I first restored the original stock rom, followed your instructions but this time it just got stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy Y..." logo and it didn't go further.
Seems like my phone is not compatible with this rom?
Thanks!

that happens when you dont mount system or using the wrong kernel (since you are using stock kernel that is fine for a stock based rom - no change needed)
go back into cwm and make sure system is mounted (will display "unmount system)
if system says its already mounted unmount system and remount it again just to make sure especially if using bieltv.3 cwm
and flash the rom again
Mmm, tried several times but the same problem happens (I double checked to follow the instructions carefully and that the partitions were mounted).
I will try with other custom roms to see if at least one of them boots correctly.
Thanks for your help!

Unable to flash Hyperion X

I am a noob and just an android enthusiast. All the Galaxy Y roms I had used earlier were stock based. I decided to give Hyperion X a try and I followed the following steps for flashing-
1) Flashed stock ROM
2) Rooted the phone
3) Went into Samsung recovery. Flashed CWM 5.0.2.8
4) Mounted data sytem cache
5) Flashed ext4formatter
6) Without going back to cwm again directly flashed sir nvsetup's kernel
7)Then went back to cwm>advanced>reboot recovery
8) Then formatted data system cache
9) Wiped battery stats and dalvik cache
10) Mounted system data cache sdcard
11) Flashed Hyperion X
12) Flashed gapps
Every time I ended up on a bootloop ( I have tried flashing 4 times :crying: ) Please tell me where I went wrong.
For those who can't install the rom properly you can follow this guide:
-Flash Stock Rom via odin (If you're on stockrom skip this step)
-Flash CWM recovery using stock recovery (v.6.0.1.2 or 5.0.2.8)
-After flashing cwm recovery mount System,Data,Cache
-Flash Cm Specific Kernel
-After flashing cm kernel go back and mount System,Data,Cache
-Flash EXT4 formatter
-After flashing go to advance and recovery and REBOOT RECOVERY
-Now you're on the recovery again now mount System, Data,Cache
-Wipe S,D,C
-Mount S,D,C
-Flash the rom file or zip
-Go back Mount S,D,C
-Flash G-apps
-Reboot Now (Wait for it it takes time to boot the rom )
-Sorry for a long guide it's only for those who cannot understand the instructions given to flash the rom
