TWRP not installing ROM - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I've downloaded the CM 10.2 RC1 update, but every time I try to install it, TWRP says "No MD5 file found" acts busy a little bit and then stops as if it was done. But when I check "About this phone" it says I'm on the 11/22 nightly. Um, what's going on?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Status 7 Error

I have unlocked the boot loader, flashed ClockwordMod Recovery v3.1.0.1, flashed Superuser, wiped data but when I try to install the CM7 zip from recovery, I'm getting a long error followed by "(Status 7)" and it says "Installation aborted." Kind of at a loss for what to do so any help is appreciated.
Ok I was able to solve my problem and get CM7 installed, but now I don't have any mobile network connection whatsoever.....any ideas?
Have you checked that you have the correct APN selected?

Yeah there was actually no APN present whatsoever on the stable mod or on the latest nightly mod. I couldn't find the APN settings online to enter them manually so if someone could help me out with that that would be great. For now I just reverted it back to a stock ROM.

ROM Manager 5.0.2 fail

anyone else finding the 5.0.2 Rom Manager failing when trying to back up?
says "error processing ROM Manager script"..
nothing like this with me... sorry mate

Open the market and look for ROM Manager, install it to get the latest version. That should fix any issues you might have.

4.4.0.7 is the newest version showing in my market, which is the version I have, but it says there's an update available when I open rom manager, anyone know how I can update it?
Unlocked oc'd alien atrix
Open ROM Manager and check the version on the app title, it should say "ROM Manager (Premium if you have it) v4.4.0.7".
If you are prompted to update, it's probably a CWM update, touch flash CWM button and let it do its thing.
thx everyone..still unsure as to what was the cause, but i completely wiped w/ fastboot and then reinstalled my backup thru cwm..after that rom manager functions normally. thx
I have/had the same issue. When I tried to backup from inside the gui it booted into recovery and failed. I just tried the manual mode and it is working fine.
I did try to apply an addition to the default date/time name of the recovery image, does anyone know if there is a file name length/characters/spaces restriction on the recovery image name?
Had the same problem. Only happens when I try to flash thru ROM manager tho. If I boot and hold volume down all is good.

What recovery and are you downloading these roms via your phone or PC? Wouldn't rule out a bad download. Do an MD5 and file size check.
I had a similar problem. I flashed the blu Kuban Rom but it is Mdl and im on mf9. It flashed oddly fast but when i rebooted to system it stayed on the boot animation for over an hour and nothing happened.

I've had such issues myself a few times. I fixed it by redownloading the files using Chrome.

This seems to be a common problem with bad downloads.
Most people suggest using a web browser for the download then transferring via USB to the phone.

Yep. Always try to download via a PC and transfer if you can. Just more reliable. Try doing that and see if they flash ok. If not, post back.

You should post this on the Google Rom forum. But as for the problem, you might have just gotten a bad download. Try to re download it.

Nexus 4 softbrick help

Hi, yesterday i've flashed 3minit battery mod and it softbricked my Nexus 4. I can get into the android, but it costantly shows me up com.systemandroiduiblabla stopped working, so I pretty much can't do nothing. I have a backup made from cwm, but it shows me md5 check mismatch, so it's useless. What do I do now? I'm running latest Paranoid Android
