Hi, yesterday i've flashed 3minit battery mod and it softbricked my Nexus 4. I can get into the android, but it costantly shows me up com.systemandroiduiblabla stopped working, so I pretty much can't do nothing. I have a backup made from cwm, but it shows me md5 check mismatch, so it's useless. What do I do now? I'm running latest Paranoid Android

I would do if I could, but I don't have any rom on my phone Any ideas on how copy one to the phone?
EDIT
I've managed to get my mako working in adb thanks to this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957423 , everything is fine now.

I am in a bit of a pickle. I rooted my brand new Nexus S, but in the excitement, I accidentally flashed a kernel for Cyanogenmod first instead og the ROM first, THEN the CM7. Now it won't go pass the unlocked bootscreen. I have searched for solutions, but can't find any. If only the Nexus S had a SD card, I would know what to do, but how do I get a stock kernel transferred to the phone when I can only get it into Clockwork mod? I tried factiory reset and all, but it is not the problem, it is the kernel. I can get into CWM but nothing happens when I try to mout USB storage to transfer files and/or new kernel..... Help, anyone? Please?

You can mount your sdcard from recovery, there is an option for mounts in the first menu. Then transfer whatever file you want to flash.

It doesn't work. Ther phone shows up for a split second in Windows file explorer and then closes again.
Please post the exact model of your phone and the exact file you flashed, and the exact CWM recovery file you flashed.
Also, if you can get to recovery you haven't bricked your phone
If you haven't done it already I'd also flash superuser. If you are after a stable ROM based on CM7, I'm using NSCollab 1.0.39 and works very well.

Which drivers do you have installed, just the ones from the Android SDK? what Windows do you have?

when you flashed cyanogenmod after flashing the kernel, cyanogenmod automagically overwrote the kernel that you flashed first, so thats not the issue. try wiping data, then reflash cyanogenmod and the gapps.
simms22, the issue occurred because after flashing the kernel, I could not flash anything because it just halted on the Google screen with the open padlock. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the Samsung drivers, and it helped, I then could see the phone in Windows Explorer and was able to transfer a new kernel and a new ROM, which actually was the NSCollab which I like because of the speed. Thanks all for helping me out. Have a nice one.

ahh, i misread what you wrote. im glad that it got straightened out anyways
Good to hear
NSCollab 1.0.39 is pretty stable with the Matr1x 5.5 kernel it comes with and you'll notice a better battery life too.

I have had my Nexus 7 with SmoothROM on it for a long time now, I use it here and there, but I noticed it acting kind of glitchy lately especially when using the keyboard. I got 2 notifications from GROUPER (i think thats the name of it...) saying I had an update to SmoothROM (v 4.2) and that google apps needed to be updated... I did the normal crap, wiped everything, flashed the new smoothrom, flashed on the google apps, but when I rebooted it just keeps popping up saying "Unfortunately, the process blah blah gapps has stopped", then when i press ok it says Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped".... and when i press ok on that it just keeps popping back up... will NOT go away no matter what I try...
On top of this... I tried going to fastboot and putting it in recovery mode but then it just goes to the main boot screen that says Google with a lock at the bottom, and it is just stuck there...
So what would be the easiest course of action here? I can't get it into Recovery mode I don't think, although I forgot how to do it in the first place, I thought it had to do with sliding the lock somewhere at the boot screen but I have tried that and nothing seems to work...
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Update: I managed to get into the settings and put USB Debugging on
so now it gets recognized by my computer and I can view and transfer files.... But I still can't get it into recovery mode so what should I do now lol?
Should I be looking for something like this " Google Nexus 7 Toolkit V3.2.0 " ?
Use wugs to restore to stock and start over
If you go back to smoothrom make sure you download it again might have been a bad download

When you power on your nexus press volume down and up and power button together for a couple of seconds. Your screen will go off and then "Google" will come up. Continue pressing and you will be in the boot loader menu. Go to recovery and install the ROM you want. (Can you get there?) Or else try to install it from your PC with cmd. Let me know if the first way works.

Same here, I dirty flashed it from stock instead of full wipe. Always do full wipe just in case.

is the lock under the Google logo open or closed? if you installed a custom ROM, it should be open. if it is closed, the bootloader somehow got locked again.
however, i think the issue you are experiencing is related to gapps. you either have a bad download of gapps or flashed the wrong gapps (some roms require custom gapps). try the volume down+power thing to get to the bootloader, then go to recovery. if you can't, flash a recovery using fastboot or use one of those toolkits to flash a recovery. before you re-flash your ROM and gapps, i'd recommend verifying the MD5 sum, since that will tell you whether the downloaded file is good or not.
Sorry for the late reply guys but as it usually goes my ADHD got the best of me and before I came back to read this i ended up using that Google toolkit thing that I asked about and did what somebody said (option 9) to download and then install the stock ROM (but thank you!!) BUT in case anybody would like to know the lock was open and I could put it in fastboot but it wouldn't boot me into recovery. Hopefully anybody else updating smoothrom that ends up in my position will find this thread. I also suggest just downloaded the ROM and flashing it with the recovery that was my first time using that update ROM thing and it screwed up lol.
Again thanks a ton! Is there any new ROMs out there for the Nexus 7? Anything better than SmoothROM (or stock, lol)?

Rasbeanjelly with Franco kernel. I think it's the best out there.. I got 5k on quadrant with no overclock anywhere. Games play with no lag, it's very good

Has anyone tried the 4.3 cm10.2 ROMs found over here (http://androidhosting.org/Devs/Dhacker29/cm-10.2/)? I was going to give it a go last night but for some reason my device got stuck on the "warning your boot loader is unlocked" screen and had to use Matt's utility to give it life... I may give it a try tonight when I'm not expecting any calls...

Yeah, I'm running the latest version of it now. I had the same problem. What worked for me was the following:
1. Wipe everything - system, data and both types of cache.
2. Install CM 10.2 and NOTHING else. Boot the ROM. It should go through now.
3. Once you get to the main screen, reboot into recovery.
4. Install the 4.3 GAPPS version. Reboot, get to the main screen and reboot into recovery.
5. Now flash the 4.3 version of Supersu for CM 10.2
6. Boot one last time into CM 10.2
All the links for everything you need can be found with a Google search. Later I may edit this post to include those links.

Thank you kindly for the reply... I got it booting finally but couldn't get su permission on TiB and what not... I didn't know about needing the 4.3 su ...I'll flash that now... again thank you kindly

TWRP isn't supported either from what I understand. You need to run CWM.
Any time I install 4.3, it won't reboot. It starts up initially, but I can't get it to get past the Motorola logo upon second boot.
I have tried the normal install method and this method.
Then recovery doesn't see the /data folder so something is wrong with the 4.3 install I presume.
Does it change the location of data?
Yeah I Tried It But It Had No Sound So I Changed Over To 4.2.2 AOKP.

I use TWRP, works ok. Got sound, data, everything working fine. Battery life sucks, but no surprise there.
My 2c
I'm running it right now. I must have missed the part about flashing SuperSu, because I can't do anything as root. I had trouble the first time I flashed with the phone bootlooping, but I flashed again and that fixed it. Battery life is somewhat poor, but I just found the performance page today (Icon was different, silly me!) so we'll see how it goes with a different governor. I've been having issues with Navigation and Bluetooth audio on anything except stock. Bluetooth audio locks the phone and I have to soft-reset it. Navigation crashes if you try to multi-task while using it.
Hello,
I own a S4 I337M I had it rooted and then proceed to install CM 10.1.3 I had no problems then. Yesterday I got a notification that CM 10.2 was available after I installed it using OTA I lost the ability to turn on the wifi and the 3g.
I had CDW so I wiped my phone and reinstalled 10.2, when I opened titanium it suggested me to try superSU I installed it but when I opened it I got an error saying something about the binary files.
I chose to flash the binary files and now I cannot access to CDW and it seems like I lost root, everything else seems to work good but I would like to have my phone rooted if this cannot be achieved on CM 10.2 I would like to install CDW and go back to 10.1.3.
I tried to root my phone again using ODIN like the first time but it didn't work.
Do you know if there's a way to regain root access or at least to install CDW again?
Thanks in advance.
Never mind.
I was able to put back CDW with Odin and restore the backup of CM 10.1.3.

Ok, I'm trying to make sense of what your current device configuration is before I tell you what to do. There is no lollipop for the s4 and cm won't work if you're using safestrap. I'm going to assume you have safestrap and you're on 4.4.4. If that's the card you'll need to flash the nb1 tar file in Odin to get your device working again.
Edit, see this on how to flash the nb1 tar file and return to stock.
