Open the market and look for ROM Manager, install it to get the latest version. That should fix any issues you might have.

4.4.0.7 is the newest version showing in my market, which is the version I have, but it says there's an update available when I open rom manager, anyone know how I can update it?
Unlocked oc'd alien atrix

Open ROM Manager and check the version on the app title, it should say "ROM Manager (Premium if you have it) v4.4.0.7".
If you are prompted to update, it's probably a CWM update, touch flash CWM button and let it do its thing.

thx everyone..still unsure as to what was the cause, but i completely wiped w/ fastboot and then reinstalled my backup thru cwm..after that rom manager functions normally. thx

I have/had the same issue. When I tried to backup from inside the gui it booted into recovery and failed. I just tried the manual mode and it is working fine.
I did try to apply an addition to the default date/time name of the recovery image, does anyone know if there is a file name length/characters/spaces restriction on the recovery image name?

Had the same problem. Only happens when I try to flash thru ROM manager tho. If I boot and hold volume down all is good.

same problem. reverted back to the previous cwm version, and now it works

Cant Book into Clockwork

I downloaded and installed the nero beta 3 and now I am trying to install nero v1 from rom manager. When I click to make a backup it restarts but puts me in the android boot loader. I do not have an option for backing up. I flashed clockwork twice but still no success.
Did u click reinstall packages or something
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
That is an option in the android boot loader but I did not click that.
I believe its the Rom manager that'd having problems. I reverted back to prior update of rom manager, and it worked. Dont update the latest one in the market. If u have auto, uncheck that, so it wouldn't update your rom manager.

Thanks but how do I use an older version? Is there a link?

To get into the clockwork after u flash it click reinstall packages and it should reboot and go back to stock mode and click reinstall again and it should come with green text and its clockwork.
If that doesn't work try another idea.

[Q] Can't flash v1.5 themes from Liberty toolbox

I can't seem to figure out why the themes won't flash from the Liberty toolbox. I'm running v1.5. The themes will download, they just won't flash. I have tried literally everything - I've re-flashed the ROM, didn't work. I wiped data/cache then re-flashed the ROM, didn't work. I uninstalled the toolbox and then downloaded the new version of it (1.1.2), didn't work. I tried downloading the themes from the internet instead of the toolbox, still didn't work. Anyone have any idea on what to do?
Make sure your bootstrap is working. After it downloads it usually reboots into recover to load it.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
It reboots into recovery every time. I then try and manually flash it and it doesn't work.
ive had this same exact problem
I have had the same problem. I notice when I click on a theme to install it, it doesn't download, it just reboots without realizing it wasn't downloaded. Hence no download, no install. I do not have a connection problem and I have plenty of signal. I'm guessing perhaps there is a problem with download location.

I have had a similar issue. I found that once my ROM manager was updated, I had to reflash clockwork mod from within the ROM manager. Once I did that, I was able to install a theme with liberty toolbox.

I had this exact issue and I did this but now it just downloads an empty zip file with the themes name
I'm having the same issues this morning, my guess is that they have removed the files in preparation for a new Liberty release.

Flash baseband without PC?

Hello all, I just updated the baseband on my streak due to data issues. It fixed the problem for me. The problem is my mother bought a streak shortly after I did and I've kept it updated right along with mine. She has the basband that I was on, 345 or 347, can't remember now. Recently she broke the pdmi port and had to buy the battery charging dock setup. Is there anyway I can push the basband via terminal emulator or any other way? Is she just stuck with 347? She has streakmod recovery so I can't upgrade to 354 to change it. If there is a 354 zip around would it update the bb like the pkg file does? Thanks in advance guys.

I manage to flash streakmod using clockworkmod from the market. I can't remember how but there is a thread on the forum somewhere. May be you can flash the baseband the same way?

Thanks so much for the tip. I was able to flash the stock recovery via rom manager. If anyone is interested in how i did this just let me know and i'll write up a tutorial.
Interesting... Last time I tried ROM manager on the Streak, it didn't work at all. Were you asked by ROM manager to input the recovery.img for 354? Guess I'll download it again and see what's new.

You might want to give details or at least point to your source for info in case someone else is looking for the info.

Sorry. I have no sources for info. This was all done with my very basic knowledge of how things work. I wanted to make sure someone was interested, before I went to the trouble to explain how I did it. I guess, in the nature of android, I should have been willing to all ready. lol.
First i download rom manager from the market. I was hoping to be able to do it through the option in rom manager "flash alternate recovery", however i could not figure out how to get this to work. So here is what I did.
1. I opened rom manager and selected "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and selected Dell Streak, and let it flash the recovery.
2. I then when in to andexplorer, any file explorer will work, and searched for where exactly it saves the recovery. Which was /mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/download/download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries
3. This is where it saved the recovery unfortunately I've deleted it but I'll use streakrecovery-example.img as an example.
4. I renamed the recovery streakrecovery-example.img to streakrecovery-example.img.bak
5. I then placed the stock recovery into the same folder and renamed it streakrecovery-example.img (make sure its identical to the .bak recovery, only without .bak)
6. I rebooted the phone to make sure rom manager would notice the changes, but you may not need to.
7. I opened rom manager and selected "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery", and let it do its thing.
8. Upon success I then powered down and manually rebooted into recovery and selected option 2. Software upgrade via Update.pkg on SD card, and to my surprise was greeted with the stock recovery options. (Power to preform emergency recovery, or Volume up to Power off device)
9. I pressed power and ran the update. The device is now on stock 354. =)
Edit: This was only useful to me because of the broke pdmi port on my moms streak. If you guys think this would be useful for everyone I will start a new "How to Thread" with this same post as soon as i get time. What would be the appropriate section for How to's, General?
Ive been wondering why I should upgade to newer bb's........im still on 305,2.2,rooted. Ide upgrade to a newer one if there was an improvment.......mine is running fine the way it is......what exactly would newer bb make my phone better......thanks

ROM Manager Fix Permissions Blank Screen [solved]

Running ROM Manager Premium v4.7.0.5 with ClockworkMod 3.0.0.8 (newer versions did not flash ROMs properly) on Cyanogenmod 7.1 with SuperUser 3.0.6 (su binary 3.0.2).
When I try to run Fix Permissions from ROM Manager, it asks me to confirm as normal. When I confirm, it just sits there in the Fix Permissions window where the log output would usually appear. I've let it go for several minutes and nothing ever seems to show up. It should be noted that ROM Manager never requests root permissions for this either.
Am I not waiting long enough, or has anyone seen this issue before?
Edit: I also posted this to reddit under Android (can't link because I don't have enough posts).
Are you running the latest su? I had an issue with the latest version and had to uninstall updates to get it to work, once I did that it let me flash the latest CWM and fix permissions
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I was running the latest version of Superuser and su. I uninstalled updates to Superuser, but that only brings it down to 3.0.4, and the same problem results.
Edit: It would appear this is deeper than just ROM manager, and that SuperUser is the culprit. I just tried updating the su binary, and it's stuck at "Gaining root access." Always exciting when Superuser can't give itself root rights...
This is affecting everything requiring root permissions. The programs just hang because the root prompt never shows up. Not really sure what would've caused this. Must be an su/Superuser update. I can't flash from ROM manager because Superuser is broken. Is there any place to install an older Superuser APK?
Did you downgrade in the market? That just put me back to version 2.3.6.3 which shouldn't give you problems, and I'm pretty sure there's a way to install it with adb but I'm not sure how, you could always install a new ROM with CWM.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I also just noticed your binary is outdated... Try updating that and c if it fixes anything, the latest version of su with the latest binary are actually working for me but, the previous version didn't .

The SuperUser update screwed me.
I had to reflash the older 2.3.5.3 version.
If you look at his website there's a way to download the older versions. Flash it like you would a rom. Solved my problems. I'm not upgrading until I know it works for Incredible phones.
I can't seem to find where I got mine from but here's a link to another place that has it.

That fixed it, thanks. Now running Superuser 3.0.6/su 2.3.5.3 and things requiring root permission are actually asking for them again.
Why not just "Fix Permissions" straight through the recovery?

[Q] Stuck on Motorola logo after cm7 flash

Now before anyone post the comment about there are other threads about this, i already looked and tried those methods for the past 4 hours. Nothing has worked. This is what happened....
I tried to install CM7 From CWM and when it was installing it didn't list anything that was inside the zip, it just said installing.........installation complete. i wiped the necessary wipes and reboot. Now i am stuck on the moto screen. my phone is Rooted, unlocked bootloader and i have cmw on my phone. i downloaded GingerMod and am going to try to put that to my SD card and see if it installs.
But i feel like i did that wrong to install the rom. If i am or if someone knows how i can fix my phone i would really appreciate this, i have a 1 year old son that is with his mother and i need to check on him and my job relies on my phone also. So over look my noobness and just someone help me, i would really appreciate it.
I'm using CM7 Mod ICS!
Everything runs good.
Try to install it.
Perform the appropriate wipes
Install the ROM zip from CMW
Install the zip of the GoogleApps
reboot
okay so i flashed the gingermod and i got past the dual core logo and got to the animated moto icon but it just looped it. so i am trying to flash it again and do the appropriate wipes. I will download that ics though and try it out if this doesn't work.

Which version? If it's not the newest one packaged with ROM Manager (or romracer's) then you're doing it wrong. 99.9% of the time this is what leads to stuck at boot logo.

ROM Manager is available in the market. You install CWM from within the app.
romracer's is here along with install instructions.
what are the "appropriate wipes" that you're doing?
