I can't seem to figure out why the themes won't flash from the Liberty toolbox. I'm running v1.5. The themes will download, they just won't flash. I have tried literally everything - I've re-flashed the ROM, didn't work. I wiped data/cache then re-flashed the ROM, didn't work. I uninstalled the toolbox and then downloaded the new version of it (1.1.2), didn't work. I tried downloading the themes from the internet instead of the toolbox, still didn't work. Anyone have any idea on what to do?
Make sure your bootstrap is working. After it downloads it usually reboots into recover to load it.

It reboots into recovery every time. I then try and manually flash it and it doesn't work.
ive had this same exact problem
I have had the same problem. I notice when I click on a theme to install it, it doesn't download, it just reboots without realizing it wasn't downloaded. Hence no download, no install. I do not have a connection problem and I have plenty of signal. I'm guessing perhaps there is a problem with download location.

I have had a similar issue. I found that once my ROM manager was updated, I had to reflash clockwork mod from within the ROM manager. Once I did that, I was able to install a theme with liberty toolbox.

I had this exact issue and I did this but now it just downloads an empty zip file with the themes name
I'm having the same issues this morning, my guess is that they have removed the files in preparation for a new Liberty release.

Earlier, I mistakenly posted this thread in the Droid 2 global forums. This is where it shoud've been posted.
As you can see from the title of this thread, I am having problems installing ROMs on my rooted Droid 2. No matter which one I try to install (gummyjar, liberty, etc.), after I boot into recovery and follow the instructions for installing the ROMs, they don't; everything on my phone always looks the same as before. What might be the problem?
As a side note, Webroot, one of my mobile security apps, seems to quarantine the zip files a day or two after I download them. Might Webroot be the problem? Should I uninstall it and try installling these ROMs after doing that?
Try mounting system and data before flashing the roms. This sounds like it may be your issue.

How do I do that?

Did you
1. Root your phone successfully?
2. Install Koush Bootstrap and successfully bootstrap recovery?
3. Follow the directions correctly when installing the ROM's?

Boot into clockwork, select mounts and storage, then mount system and data. Then go install rom from sdcard.

Finally, success! What I was doing incorrectly all this time was not using Koush Bootstrap recovery for the recovery. I had been attempting to do that portion of the process from the ROM Manager instead. Thanks for the help guys.
P.S. the ROM I ended up installing was the Big DX Serenity. Except for it not enabling vibrate on keypress, I like it so far.

From what I hear, Liberty ROM is one of the quickest and most customizable ROM's out there right now. I was excited having just gotten Fission set up, but I think I'll be switching there.
Now that you've started swapping ROM's around too, you'll definitely want to be making backups of your phone. To do this, use Koush's Bootstrap to create a nandroid backup. This way, while trying out different things, you can try all sorts of ROM's with minimal hassle by just loading up your saved states.
I have the liberty rom and I want the multitouch keyboard but when I install it says install unsuccessful

Ok it worked with the toolbox. Still learning.

Ok now im having problems with themes from the toolbocks. I click on the theme I want and it says downloading and installing then looks like its rebooting then its looks like its installing it but then it says aborted. I then need to select the reboot phone to get back
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
It will reboot the phone and go in to recovery mode and install the theme on it's own. If the installation aborted that means the download didn't finish right.
Once your phone is booted up go in to the file manager and in the liberty folder there is a downloads folder, click on it and you will see the different themes that you downloaded. The ones that don't work but are listed there need to be deleted so you can redownload and attempt the install again.
I wanted to add, you are much better off downloading the themes while connected to wi-fi then 3g.
It worked thank you. I think I just didn't let it download all the way

Glad to hear you got it working. I had the same problem the first time I tried switching themes and realized what it was and what needed done.

I am currently using the Liberty Rom and loving it. Today, however, I was looking at the different themes and installed a few. After I tried a few, i wanted to go back to the original Liberty theme. When I did that, the icons never changed to the original ones, nor did he ones in the notification bar. Is there any way to change them without re-flashing the entire rom?

Did you try rebooting? Wiping?

I get goofy things like that once in a while too but a reboot usually fixes eveything. Just like already mentioned.

If after installing themes you want to get everything back to stock it is easiest to install Liberty from within the bootstrapped without a wipe. If you dont wipe you will not lose any of your data or apps but it will restore all system files and apps to the stock version.
Notice: You may need to readd any of the add-on you want or were using.
Thanks kejar, i just reinstalled the zip without wiping and all is good.

I would like to ask a question here instead of starting a new thread, hope the OP don't mind. This is about a Liberty Toolbox feature vs the Droid X Bootstrapper.
Inside the Toolbox under reboot options are a tab name Reboot Bootstrap and another named Reboot Recovery. Does those do the same thing as the Droid X Bootstrapper, just wondering. (an early thanks).

Reboot Recovery reboots to the stock recovery that comes with the phone. Reboot Bootstrap reboots does the same thing as the bootstrapper.

how do i install that? i dont have the market and i dont have the premium version of rom manager so i hope i dont need those
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/...d-7-for-samsung-galaxy-s-phones-experimental/
Faq lists two ways to install gapps. If the rom manager way isn't working for you, try the other.
flash the zip called gapps-gb-xxx located in mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/download/goo-inside.me/gapps. flash it with recovery not rom manager.
Look for an external link--one sec, adding it for you.
Hey, I'm on liberty 2.0.1and since the recent toolbox update, the file to update to rooted gb has been added to nightlies. I downloaded the file, but when I tried to install it, it says the phone will reboot into recovery and install, but my phone just reboots back to normal. I tried redownloading the file, but it just reboots normally. I've been having issues with my phone freezing lately, so I wanted to update to liberty gb. I tried to email jrummy and message him on twitter, but he never responds, which is **** customer service if you ask me. I just want to get my phone working again. Does anyone know about this issue? Any advice?
Thanks,
Garrette

I'm not sure about that. You could always update to rooted/blured GB then load up liberty from there.

I did that last night. I had to SBF back to stock group though, reboot, then installed prerooted gb. Dl the Liberty toolbox, dl nightly version gb. O9, and it STILL DOESN'T FREAKING WORK!!!!!!!!
It still doesn't reboot into recovery and just restarts the phone normally. Can I just use bootstrap and install the file from there?
yes, u can use bootstrap
