Really, you want to post links because I'm pretty sure the bounty to reset Knox is still unclaimed...

You are wrong unless you supply a link to your claim. The bounty to reset KNOX is still unclaimed as there is still NO WAY to reset it. Please do not give people false hope or make claims you are not willing to back up with proof.

i didn't mentioned exactly knox-bootloader of samsung device
i talked about Bootloader of Android
and example of reset bootloader counter (or flash counter);

Check out Zroice's thread, seems he has managed to modify the system files to run custom roms (sort of) without tripping KNOX

Does root void warranty?

Hello,
quick question, does rooting void warranty?
and if so, if i unroot and flash the stock rom back... does it still void warranty??
thanks in advance!
No, it doesn't.
Only if you unlock your bootloader do you void your warranty. To root without voiding your warranty use --> http://maketecheasier.com/root-android-phone-without-voiding-warranty/2010/08/13

Nope. Neither does searching. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6043779#post6043779
Technically it does, but if the bootloader is locked, you can unroot leaving absolutely no trace.
HTC don't seem to care about them being unlocked anyway.

This is the important part ... HTC doesn't care. I've sent my phone in twice while rooted and both times it has come back factory reset with the boot loader re-locked.

yeap.. i have used it and it worked after i used JIG...
its not mine BTW.. i just shared...
Dude the day they released the new bootloader is the day we figured out how they were blocking the Jig reset and made the old bootloader available for download as a separate tarball and also started to package the firmwares with the old bootloader.
You're very late. All that person has done is nothing other than recreate my work. http://www.chainfire.eu/articles/103/_SGS2_KI_Samsung_removes_USB_host_support_patches_bootloaders/
So if I flash the tar with Odin my counter will be reset to 0, without the need of a Jig? Or else?

You've just reminded me... I need to reset mine after playing with ICS.
... now how do I do it again, do I need a PIT file in Odin, or is there a CWM package available?
... will this void my warranty? Is it an official release? Is it on Kies?

People who would like to return on warranty.Having had warranty experiences in the past, I am in that group.
I think when it is confiremd it will be in the DEV forum. I read a thread in General about it, and someone claimed they had it, but provided no info.
And Samsung has denied warranty work to users in the past due to the flash counter?

From what I have read, that is my assumption, but I don't know personally. But I had been seriously questioned about ROM version when I had to send my Captivate in. It doesn't have ROM counter.
Check Dev thread. We have one that works.
bottom line is at this point if you trip the flash counter, your warranty if void.
I'm rooted.
Used the Sprint version and everything went smooth as butter.

[Question] Odin Counter + Rooting

Hi all,
should the odin custom binary counter go from 0 to 1 when the tab is simply rooted and no new ROM is flashed?
Thanks.

If you are going to root the tab using CMW obviously it will increase the counter, not sure if you can root it any other way.
If you want to root your device thus far you need CWM which you flash through Odin. That will increase the counter for sure.
Mine reach 5 count already since flash the ROM
Thanks a lot - a day older and a little bit wiser now.
It may be obvious to some people that it would step the counter up but some of us are new to Samsung and have no idea how the Odin counter works or is triggered... Hence the question.
so is there a max amount of times you can flash t???? im a total noob to sammy thanks
No, there is no limit to the amount off flashing. Only the counter will go up.

Does that void your warranty? I found a stuck pixel on my display and I'm rooted.
Yes, in the proces of rooting your warranty is already void. If the flash counter is above 0 your warranty is void. At the moment there is no know and tested way to get it to zero. But if you feel lucky, they maybe wont look at the counter.

Did I miss the counter?Nahhh
Last time when there is no counter, you only need to unroot and flash back to stock rom but nowdays the counter goes up and samsung service centre can know that you have play with the ODIN. Mine up to 5 already. Hope there nothing problem with my Tab 2 10.1 when the time goes on.

"Triangle Away" can reset the counter back to 0, but, only on certain devices. I know it works on the Samsung Galaxy S3, not sure about your Tab. Be careful, you could brick it if it doesn't work!

Unfortunately, only US residents would like that video. I don't know of any other countries that push manufacturers to accept rooted/jailbroken devices.
Triangle away will surly put it to zero, in furture, cause its master cainfires work ;-)

[Q] 4.4.2 Root keeping knox 0x0 progress?

Hello, does anybody know if we are close to a potential knox friendly root release for 4.4.2? I know that they pached 4.3 kernel and saferoot will not work on kitkat anymore..but because of this patch, will it be possible to root again while keeping knox 0x0? Or just say goodbye to saferoot and void our waranties?
I am asking because my GT-I9505 is starting to lag because of bloats and i would like to root it, am i waiting for a ''safe root'' that actually never going to be released? if yes im about to use cf autoroot right now.
feel free to express your opinion:good:
The unique way for root the phone is using CF- autoroot at this moment. This method void ur warranty, sorry :highfive:

I already knew that cf root voids warranty. All i ask is if a ''saferoot'' method is now an impossible scenario due to the kernel patch....Or it's not? Any dev here to give an answer? I am sure there are many people waiting anxiously...

I know everything you say, I just ask if it is impossible for ''saferoot'' or ''root de la vega'' or any similar root that is be able to bypass knox without tripping it in the near future, not now!....i know that these root methods do NOT work in the present, all i ask is for the near future, that is why i asked for a dev to give us a more specialized answer.
Thank you for your answer but please understand what i say

Of curse in near future the 4.4.2 ROMs will be rooted without tripping the KNOX and warranty flag.
I can assure you that ETA is around 24 months, so what you need to do is to sit and wait.

Do you want serious approach?
Be my guest. Current circumstances are:
1. Samsung announced about in near future 4.4.3 release for G4;
2. sometime ago S5 was released.
1+2=less and less devs have interest in work with G4 4.4.2, therefore it is very unlikely that it will be any breakthrough, if something universal (like common trick, let's say for Note 3+G4) would emerge, Even Samsung is not approaching the 4.4.2 seriously (known GLONASS bug, problems with data connections, drains etc are remaining unfixed).
Conclusion: because of the above, you can sit and wait, as I stated in previous post, having hope that something may appear.
