HI there, i have being lurking a lot of time without and account and from the time i learned here how to root and do other cool stuff to android device but now i needed to create an account to ask for help because i cant find any solution.
first a bit of story so you can understand why im so weirded out by my problems.
My dad works in an important carrier here in spain where i live, the 28 it was my birthday and he wanted to gift me some new tech, he managed to get a Samsung Note 3 Live demo unit ( i know all the fuss about it and how it can't be used as a normal phone etc) and i was quite happy to test out this device but as any live demo unit there was the retail mode installed and all, so i decided to find the Stock rom for my phone and ¿flash it? through odin, went perfect, the retail mode disappeared and all the functions worked perfectly (not the network signal obviously) but it was a clear stock rom Note 3, all happy, rooted it installed my apps used it until this weekend.
My father got another one (same device model etc) for him and asked me to make it like mine,i thought this was easy because i still had all the files from mine and all, did the same steps as with mine but when it restarted it entered a loop, the device booted up, the configuration worked kinda weird (wifi not searching from my network), system not working, and after a couple minutes reboot
I decided to test on my functional note 3 the same files and that ****ed my note 3 too same deal rebooting and stuff. WITH THE SAME FILE I USED THE FIRST TIME.
I tested formating everything, flash another recovery, root it use another international stock rom i tryed TWRP and im out of ideas and im in fear of bricking the device even more.
Anyone could help me out.
I have no clue of what is happening or what could i did wrong, i understand there is no way of make it work like a 100% normal phone but i want to flash a rom and be able to use it like a stock note 3 just from my personal stuff.
Both Note 3 are SM-N9005, i cant acces the memory of the phone,but i can put it in download mode and in Recovery,i can flash it with odin and put Clockwork but i tested everything and i cant find any solution.

I will try this but this isnt the same as downloading a ROM from samsung-updates.com for the note 3?
Is 3.09 more efective,reliable or it may affect the procces than using 3.15?

I know that ROMs from sammobile are reliable.
Odin v3.15? Never heard of. I can confirm 3.09 works perfectly for not 3.

Tested it,still restet when trying to get the ip address of my network and the system keep crashing...

Nothing not working same problem now it reboots after maybe 7 9 minutes, and same deal the wifi try to get the network but stays all the time in "Confirming if the networs is good" or somthing like that...
Still have no idea what to do.
I just saw something weird, in the back of my Live demo Unit, there is a tag below the battery who says its model SM-N900X but a bit upper in the plastic there is a code with SM-N9005 if this has something to do with all .

After flashing retail firmware i've got bootloop.
It is may be because EFS is broken.
Or bootloader blocks normal firmware.
I've tried to flash original bootloader but it fails with error.
Still waiting method to recover it.

I have the same problem as u plus somehow i screwed up my pit partition. With a screwed pit partition i cant do anything so im stuck.

I have become increasingly frustrated with this device! I am trying to run the *#1234# code in the stock dialer to view my AP and CSC so that I may root via the Root de la Vega method. But when the code runs it just comes back saying "Unable to Process Request". I've tried everything such as dialing just #1234#, *#1234#*, resets, factory resets, posting the question here previously (as I cannot post in the actual forum thread yet due to posting limitations) but it was deleted with no message to let me know why, nothing works. I cannot root safely without being able to view this code and was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem? Not sure if it's relevant but my carrier is T-mobile and I am using the 32gb White model. Everything is still stock. I really need help with this, I'm ready to go back to my note 2 because at least that had root -_-. Someone please help!?

As a workaround, perhaps log in to Kies solely for the purpose of checking what your current firmware is? See snapshot here http://i1-win.softpedia-static.com/screenshots/Kies_1.png?1378883026.

You have to be rooted and "enable" the entry of service codes via the dialer first.
For the VZW Note 3, I've confirmed this works - Edit the contents of /efs/carrier/HiddenMenu from OFF to ON (must be capitalized)...reboot and you're good to go.
If that doesn't work for non VZW Note 3's, you can try the full steps listed here!

This is very confusing , if I'm trying to obtain root I need to already be rooted? If I root without using the Vega method I'll trip the knox counter no? I'm trying to avoid that. Seems like a catch 22 to me?

Good to know your problem is shorted out, I just read this thread,next time if u have this type of problem u can install a app called checkfus from google play.

Having the same problem, but THANK you for the Checkfus recommendation. That does provide the CSC.
It doesn't show AP though.
However, (new road block) my CSC is N900VVZWMI9 , I don't see that in the list https://mega.co.nz/#F!n9JnyI5S!VKmm1hxHlhIxWo1bXeIfLA
So I guess we will have to wait... Correct?
I am having a similar problem, I just opened my Note 3 and when I dial *#1234# nothing happens, if I click send, it actually tries to dial it. I need to know the AP and CSC so I can root. Obviously I can't follow the steps above since I'm not rooted yet.
Remember.. You have to use native dialer when entering codes.. I was using a third party dialer app and it only dialed.

Thanks it worked! I've been looking for this. Nobody else seems to know that *#1234# will only work on rooted device.

I received notice of the update to my Note 3 last week. But because my Note 3 had been perfect in every way so far I did not really want the update. But there seemed to be no way to refuse it permanently. I finally got tired of constantly dismissing the nag screen and today went ahead with the update.
Unfortunately the phone now randomly reboots itself. I pulled the battery for a few minutes and that does not seem to help. It has done it a few times in the 6 hours since I updated. Seems random with no set time in between. Once was only a few minutes before it did it, another time it was good for a couple of hours before it did it. I had a perfect phone and now this! At least the reboots have not happened when I was in the middle of something. So far it has happened when the phone was just sitting idle on the desk with the screen off. I would just notice it rebooting by itself. Another time I took the phone out of my pocket and looked at battery use and it said something like 4m 30s on battery and it had been in my pocket for over an hour while I was using some power equipment so it had rebooted at least once while in my pocket. I plan to remove the battery overnight and see if that does anything.
If you have a SD card, try removing it for a couple of days to see if the problem goes away
Flash stock.
In case u dont know how:
Press ×#1234# in th phone app
Go to www.sammobile.com/firmwares
Search your firmware (type in your csc in the search field)
Download it
Download odin v 3.09
Start odin
Put your phone in download mode
Connect the phone
Put the firmware in ap slot
Press start

Since SGS2.... after every OTA or Kies Update the Phone runs not perfect. WTF... every time the same until I flash complete Firmware with Odin, but this time I did not use Odin because of Knox.

Thanks Killberty - Not being experienced with that I wonder does it prevent OTA nag notices going forward?
Just flashing wont prevent OTA notifications from showing up once there is a new update. They will only show up when the is a new update, which could take a while.

I have a question, I am experiencing random freeze where my screen will just free, will not respond to my touches, I was on mi7 rooted it using Rdlv, then used the mobile odin method to upgrade to upgrade it to mj7 in the hope that, these freezes goes away. Afraid that the issues is still there. I think I might have to send it to the service centre. So my question is unroot the decide using sypersu method, will I be able to re root and if yes how. Secondly if they they change the montherboard, nd put straight mj7 on it, will I be abl do of root it again

You can still root even if they put MJ7 on it but you may lose knox if they put the new bootloader on it.

So I have experienced some issues. When I first got the phone it was stuttery and having issues with Google Music and freezing up. Next Day I factory reset it (twice in a row cuz I'm paranoid) and been a dream since. However, just last night it has an issue too. I was messing with some PSP ROM and trying to load it from sdcard. Then I started reading that A) there may be issues with the 64GB SanDisk SDcards AND/OR B)Note 3 may have some issues with indexing sdcards in general.
So if you are using an sdcard of any size, try taking it out or reformatting (after backing up ofcourse) and see if that helps. BUT for sure a lot of problems are cleared up with a factory reset. Mine is at about 95% now except for that weird issue last night.
I do not use any sd card at present

One thing i have noticed is the issue happens when there is poor signal or I have noticed that when screen would stop responding, free ram is low

Modem is DMJ7, but my boot loader is still MI7
I have today seen that the most probable issue with the freeze is my RAM is getting filled up, i used LMT pie control and from that i can see, that my ram used is always 2109MB, leaving only 333MB. I have now frozen, Flipboard, after which after cleaning the RAM, the usage is now 1928, even thought the stock ram status says only 0.99GB used. Can some please help me

what i wanted to know is that , is the S4 i bought legit ? i mean in my place there are lots of S4 clones , but what makes this different is that clones in my place use exynos quad cores , but this S4 i have right here has a snapdragon and 1.89 ghz krait something ..
plus i wanted to know more about it's version , as i can't OTA update , says it's custom , i'm not even rooted and everything is stock ..

however I don't know what country the CSC would be.
My guess is its Indian phone
I can only find xxuamdk so with yours xxuamcl the "uam" sounds like indian.
My guess is your download is corrupt you said you have slow internet which is my clue.
I'm guessing if you get the uamdk and flash in Odin it should work.
My strong advice is if you want to root and go custom don't go for the current 4.3 with Knox boot loader.

I don't know for sure as Ive only just started down the custom ROM track with SG4, it's best to fully read all the info in the thread and understand what your reading, I am still on a learning curve myself and dont yet fully understand all the samsung methods (came from htc legend and DHD)

First read and learn what Knox is and what it does. Then decide if you even want Knox on your phone. If you don't want it, stay away from that firmware you mention. Stay away from all official firmwares. Then you can only flash custom roms. That rom is Knox free, but it still contains the updated bootloader (correct me if i'm wrong).
no luck with flashing , i tried using 4.2.2 from brazil , it fails on odin , i tried repartitioning with a pit file , it says secure check fail : pit , oh my what should i do this is pretty messed up :/

Your very lucky that pit file has checks, you need to do a lot more reading about Samsung methods before messing around anymore with your phone, if you had have read up on what pit file is you would have found out NOT to go messing with that, its ment for advanced persons who know what they are doing and can be very big problem if you make error.
You asked what to do, well my friend all I can say is read read read and understand fully what you are actually reading.
I am quite advanced with HTC phones but these Samsung's are a different animal and I'm not fully understanding yet...
So please don't mess with your phone unless you know what it is your actually doing. I say this cause I have no idea why you are trying to use pit file to flash ROM.

no luck with flashing , i tried using 4.2.2 from brazil , it fails on odin , i tried repartitioning with a pit file , it says secure check fail : pit , oh my what should i do this is pretty messed up :/

To be honest to you ... if your pricey device turns into a cheap brick, it's your own fault

Did you update the phone? I have same exact phone and I can't find firmware for it.

I purchased Samsung Note 3 from saudi arabia and i was able to use the sim card there and it was working fine and when i came to india and i was unable to use the Indian sim coz of Regional lock.I have tried many unlocker website but no luck and tried calling samsung but no luck.I went to local mobile shop dealer to fix this but he screwed up everything..........Previously all was working but only the problem was the sim.....Now i am unable to use the WiFi and when i insert the Indian sim its no longer asking me for the Sim Unlocker code........Now its saying unable to register the network...........
when i try to start the Wifi its just showing Turning on but never start.......what could cause this issue........?????????? Please help :crying::crying::crying:

I have tried that but still same issue........
Used odin and did the official rom installation still wifi is not working and i used the region lock away app and its not working
