Hi there,
My HTC TyTN screen is defect after I tried to repair the alignment issue. HTC seems not to be able to send me a new screenpart. Is there anyone here with a defect HTC TyTN after flashing who is willing to sell me his device?
Or does anyone know where to get spare parts in europe for the TyTN?
Thanks!
Dennis
screen defect
Hi there,
I have (on rare ocasions) seen tytn parts on ebay selling fairly cheap, it might be worth checking on there.
Failing that I thought HTC had a repair centre somewhere in London, you may have to leave it with them for a few days but they should be able to fix it for you for a fee.

There was a thread recently from someone looking for the screen ribbon cable - this pointed to a couple of websites which sold tytn (maybe the O2 version) screens.
I'm a bit busy at the moment but will post the links if I find them later.
Edit: found the links - They're in this thread, hope on is useful to you:

Almost 2½ years on and buying a brand new screen for a TyTN is not very economical anymore. If there is anyone on this forum with a paypal account, a broken TyTN/P3600 (but working screen !) and a helpful nature, then will you sell me your old TyTN so I can take out the screen and fix mine which cracked today ?
Thanks for any tips !
Hey everybody... What up.
I had a alignment problem, and tryed to fix by myself. Its a long story, but, the fact is I broke my hermes.
My technical guys are saying that the problem is in a kind of component called SMD component. On the component, is just possible to read AK.
I don't know if some of you have a idea of how can I buy this component, or, in the worst case, if somebody have a motherboard to sell me.
Tks,
I have an AT&T Tilt that's suffering from the broken 3G radio defect and I was wondering if there's a way to fix it on my own. It's now out of warranty so HTC is asking for a lot of $$$ to fix it.
Is there any DIY solution to fixing it? Is there a part I can replace or something like that?
Thanks for your help....
I might be interested in the damaged phone if you decide to part with it...
Hey guys just wondering if there is anybody in Melbourne or Australia or anywhere for that matter that may have a old broken HD2 (preferably T9193) that i might be able to use for spares ?? I currently have one and have dropped it and now it's colours are up the sh*t i have done a screen and digitizer replacement and without any luck the problem still persists any ideas would also be greatly appreciated
Ps. if i twist the phone in oposite directions the problem goes away which leads me to believe that something has come away from the board itself i have looked and cant see a thing any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Maybe mainboard connector, have you tried applying pressure to connector socket/ribbon with it stripped but screen, mainboard rigged up with battery & bench test it while applying pressure to mainboard connector/ribbon with insulated/earthed tool.
maybe abble to fix it if can find out exact point of problem but most HD2 faults need replacement parts to cure faults long term ...
Hello guys I really need your help. As you can see in video which you can reach with the link given, my i9500 freezes when it is a little bit hot. It happened when I flash a rom and I couldn't get rid of that. I don't think that it is about firmware because I fully installed the stock rom but it didn't work. It happens in every condition. I don't know what to do. What is the reason of it? What should I do?
Please help with every ideas you have.

It might be a hardware problem.
is there any way to solve it?
Certainly. But this implies that you take the phone appart. You do need some technical know-how.
So in your opinion which part of motherboard causes this? There is no talented techical persons here nearby, maybe I will try to swap crashed parts of it.
There aren't too many parts in the phone. The main parts are the mother board, USB data/charge port, speaker, camera, headphone jack.

Changing parts is also tricky. If you're not careful you might have a whole different problem than overheating issues.
