I have an AT&T Tilt that's suffering from the broken 3G radio defect and I was wondering if there's a way to fix it on my own. It's now out of warranty so HTC is asking for a lot of $$$ to fix it.
Is there any DIY solution to fixing it? Is there a part I can replace or something like that?
Thanks for your help....
I might be interested in the damaged phone if you decide to part with it...

I broke the screen on my wing, but the lcd still works. I remember seeing a company that repairs them, but now I can't find them. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not experienced enough to do it myself.
Also, anyone have any suggestion on a case to help stop this from happening in the future?
I think you can buy LCD on e-bay and try to change it yourself but if not we don't - what is your location? If Russia or Ukraine - it may be possible to help you

Hey everybody... What up.
I had a alignment problem, and tryed to fix by myself. Its a long story, but, the fact is I broke my hermes.
My technical guys are saying that the problem is in a kind of component called SMD component. On the component, is just possible to read AK.
I don't know if some of you have a idea of how can I buy this component, or, in the worst case, if somebody have a motherboard to sell me.
Tks,
Hey guys just wondering if there is anybody in Melbourne or Australia or anywhere for that matter that may have a old broken HD2 (preferably T9193) that i might be able to use for spares ?? I currently have one and have dropped it and now it's colours are up the sh*t i have done a screen and digitizer replacement and without any luck the problem still persists any ideas would also be greatly appreciated
Ps. if i twist the phone in oposite directions the problem goes away which leads me to believe that something has come away from the board itself i have looked and cant see a thing any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Maybe mainboard connector, have you tried applying pressure to connector socket/ribbon with it stripped but screen, mainboard rigged up with battery & bench test it while applying pressure to mainboard connector/ribbon with insulated/earthed tool.
maybe abble to fix it if can find out exact point of problem but most HD2 faults need replacement parts to cure faults long term ...
Hello everyone, im just so damn happy with my droid pro with CM7.. its just sweet... buuuuuuuuut........
Well my sifi signal is too low, i dont know what is this, i have tested in everyway that its not a software malfunction or anything firmware related, so today i went to my local repair guys, and they tried to put an extention on the antenna ( or so they told me).. but it didnt helped.. after that they told me that one module in the mainboard that boosts the signal may be damaged and that they couldnt change it cause the part isnt sold as a spare part.
What can i do, please im begging you i dont want to get rid of the phone just cause of this..
Any suggestions?
Oh and before anyone tells me to send it to motorola.. well they told me they dont take care of this device anymore, and if they do they would have to change the whole mainboard and that costs the same as the phone itself.
PLEASE HELP....
Was it poor before changing to CM7? If it is a component issue, there's nothing you can do about it short of replacing the mainboard (maybe get a used Pro on eBay, they're around $30-40). My Pro has pretty poor WiFi performance relative to my other devices (laptops/KFHD).
Bought a Htc Hd2 of eBay on firday but it had a fault which caused it to freeze or overheat from time to time the seller said it was a PCB Board problem so i have a few questions
1. Can anyone confirm this ?
2. Where can i get a replacement ?
3. is it worth it?
Never really done any hardware mods or anything to do with hardware just software so any help appreciated won't forget any help given
