[Q] costco return policy ? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I opened up a new line with ATT about 20 days ago and bought the LG G2 but got a defective one ( brightness fluctuates ) and I was wondering if I could return and get another LG G2 ? I know Costco has a 90 day return but will I have to pay a fee ? I also noticed the phone is about 80$ cheaper right now ! you think I would get some discounted money lol ? anyone returned a phone ?

Help me guys...It seems my wizard is doomed ????

Hello everybody,
This happ 2 weeks before.....
I charged my wizard(imate k-jam) and kept it in my pocket (it was working at that time),Then when i reached my college i took my phone out of my pocket and it was turned off....I tried to switch it on but it just wouldn't turn on... So i went to an authorised dealer who is 40 km away from my home and gave it for service (my warranty got void last this nov)...After two days he said that my power circuit was shot and the display strip was also damaged and told him to get it done and again the next day he called me and said that the sliding drive was damaged and the approx price to repair my phone would be 6500 inr plus 12.36% tax (1 inr = 50 $)......I dunno wat to do ......... is he trying to cheat or is he telling the truth (he is the only authorised dealer in my state)................

If your math was correct, the repair cost would be over $300,000 dollars, roughly the cost of a large home in the U.S., or about the price of ten mid-sized automobiles. You have your numbers reversed... $1USD = 49INR
So, naturally, I used the internet to find the actual cost in USD of 6500 Indian rupees...it's about $132USD. This is about the cost of a used Wizard on eBay, so my suggestion to you is if you are really happy with your phone, overall, let them do the repairs. If you can live with getting a replacement, I strongly suggest you look at eBay.
If your phone service provider offers discounts with new contracts (and I can't think of any that don't), you might just consider getting a new device altogether...The new HTC Touch Pro is quite nice, depending upon your provider.

is there a way to swap

for an att version if u have the T-Mobile version?
I have never heard of any info about being able to switch for the ATT phone. But you have 2 options.
Well two ways to go about it.
1) If youre like me, and have had the phone for less then 14 days. You can contact HTC to return the phone because you are ordering the ATT version . And they will go through the process and email you a shipping label thats prepaid and just ship the phone away and you will get the refund back to your credit card within 14 days. Make sure you have everything that came with the phone when sending back. Including the tmobile sim card. They will charge $45 restocking fee they said they will refund everything including tax minus the restocking fee so my refund will be $230. I did the process today and have my shipping label already and ATT n1 will be here on friday.
2) If youre out of luck and have had the phone longer than that. Craigslist and ebay are your bestfriend. Sell it and use the money to order the ATT version.
^^ That.
I purchased the ATT model while my TMO version is selling on ebay. Thus far with a few days left, it is sitting at 450 with a few bids and a dozen watchers. I suspect it will sell for 500+. In the end, the "upgrade" to the ATT model will cost me about 40ish dollars is my guess. Right now though, I had to shell out the up-front cost of a new phone.
I sold my iphone 3gs so i had money, but i was hoping i wouldnt have to use the money and save by ordering the tmo version and opening tmo account. But the signal where im at is just plain sad.
Yeah, I just ordered my ATT version and now I have to try to sell my TMO version that I bought first day. How well kept your phone is the higher the resell value, so hope you have the phone in good condition

Anyone use squaretrade on a Phone Bought Through T-Mobile?

Hi all,
Has anyone used squaretrade insurance to replace or refund a phone purchased through tmobile?
I have a g1 purchased through tmobile that i got insured through squaretrade, and I'm wondering if anyone went through the claim process with them for a similar situation.
Specifically, did they require a receipt, since i believe they mention that on their website? The only thing i had close a receipt was the tmobile bill stating i was charged $200 or whatever, but i insured the phone for $400 since that is what it would have cost to replace. Do you know if they would honor the $400 it was worth or the $200 i was charged?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

http://www.phoneclaim.com/sprint
Sprint now requires 6 months of insurance coverage before 1st claim on a NON brand new unit can be claimed. $8 a month for 6 months ($48) + the $100.
You might as well buy a good used one on craigslist.
