some users report that it worked (i doubt since efs partition is not included in the firmware)
try it, nothing to lose.
I9500 sold in Qatar are coming from UAE (if not mistaken). to be sure connect to Kies and see what are the last (3 letters) under phone firmware. i think it is (XSG).

Hello guys.
I have a S3 i9300 that fell on water. Since then SIM cards are not recognized, IMEI is null/null and baseband is unknown, making my smartphone a simple multimedia player. I´ve been trying to find a way to fix this, can anybody tell me a way to fix this please?
Meanwhile I ordered a SIM/SD Tray replacement from Amazon but I bet that wont resolve my problem...
Thanks in advance

Eww, I'm sorry, I don't have any thoughts for that issue... I've not come across this before, so sorry.
Well it could be a software/driver problem. When you do a "BIG"update in android versions a factory reset is recomended. If a factory reset does not do the trick it may be best to flash the rom with odin.
If none of those things work it's probably a hardware defect and you would have to send it for warranty

Certain parts of a firmware is not installed, there's a service code to update remaining part, we need to search in xda.
Yesterday i installed a new Samsung Official Update on my GALAXY NOTE 4(SM-N910g) and after installing it,i was facing with certain issues like my phone is crashing while trying to make calls or while trying to receive calls,Volume is not working though vibration mode is working fine,Music player and video player are crashing with the message " can't play this audio/video format", not being able to play online videos like in Youtube,Video recording isn't working and redirecting to camera mode with the message "recording failed" etc.Everything else is working fine like the sensors, touch response,third-party apps like whatsapp, camera etc.Now the thing is,i took it to a Samsung's authorised service centre and after inspecting the phone from the outside they told me that there is a problem in the motherboard and i need to replace it with a new one. So,upon hearing this i took back my phone and came hope as i have a doubt on whether this really is a Motherboard Issue.I'm not a developer so have got no idea about what kind of problem i'm actually facing and how to solve it.Furthermore,do i really need to replace the motherboard due to such issues? So,a bit of help will be highly appreciated!!
Did you try doing a full factory reset yet?

I have already tried it out but still no luck..:/ I'm thinking of downgrading the firmware. So,will that be of any help? Apart from that,is this really a motherboard issue? As the other functionalities are working fine..
Download this repair firmware and flash with odin and do factory reset after flash fi

Hi guys,
About a week ago something strange started happening to me. I'm using a simple BT earpiece for phone calls, and for some reason it started making cracking/metal like noises when I talk on the phone.
At first I was sure the earpiece itself is the problem, but it works just fine paired with other phones.
It happens with 3.5mm earphones as well, same cracking/metal like noises.
It DOES NOT happen when I talk with the phone up my ear.
Any ideas what could it be or what can I do about it?
I'm on Nougat 7.0.
?
Please this is urgent!!!
*Tried hard reset from recovery mode.
*Tried updating it as well.
*Tried safe mode too.
None of it helped.
I'm on Nougat 7.0
NPJS25.93-14-8
All stock, no mods.
What should I do in this case?

In Germany you can send it to Amazon within warranty. You should ask.
For those of you who will find this thread in the future:
It ended simply by sending the device back to amazon for replacement.
I did not find a solution for this problem...
