Is it possible for the galaxy s4 to see the spark network? Is the phone capable of seeing those lower band frequency's?

Nope. We don't have all those bands available to us on our phones. Not many do at this point. Only one I'm certain about is the Note 3.

Spark refers to the triband functionality and neither the GS4 nor the Note 3 can take advantage of it. Some phones that can are the LG G2, Nexus 5, S4 Mini, and Galaxy Mega. The GS5 most likely will be triband- or Spark-compatible.

...at least not the current s4....
BUT the spark network/ tri bands will be available on THIS S4: http://www.androidcentral.com/sprint-sell-new-tri-band-galaxy-s4-coming-weeks

Verizon 7.7 will work with at&t 3g network?

The verizons new ipad lte is said to work with at&t's 3g as they use same 3g bands. Now my question is will the verizon's 7.7 tab will work with at&t network ?
Can anyone confirm this?

I'm going to say highly doubtful.
The reason I say this is due to the different chipsets involved. The reason that the iPad works on both networks is that essentially both versions use the same chipset (kinda like in the iP4S). It's much easier and cheaper to manufacture a chipset compatible with both networks, which can behave a certain way based on the activation credentials, than to make two completely different pieces of hardware.
In the case of the VZW 7.7, it is completely different internal hardware, commissioned by and built specifically for the Verizon network, and its own CDMA (not UMTS) 3G fallback network.
Theoretically, I think if you could unlock it, the Verizon version would also work on the part of AT&T's network that is LTE. However, it would definitely NOT be able to work on the vast majority of the rest of AT&T's network, including all the 3G parts. The Verizon version is CDMA/LTE, whereas AT&T is HSPA/LTE.

The other factor to consider is that, while AT&T and Verizon both operate LTE on the 700mhz band, they are using different frequency blocks within that channel...
So much wrong information here. The iPad is made as a world device and the Verizon Galaxy Tab 7.7 is not. As such you can take the iPad to Europe, buy a local sim and use it on a European carrier on their 3G network. You can not do the same with the Verizon GT7.7 as it is made only to work on Verizon's network of 3G/LTE. If you want a Galaxy Tab 7.7 you can use on networks around the world, you need the P6800.

That really depends on which Qualcomm chipset though. That statement is not universally true in and of itself.

Verizon does not use the same 3G bands as AT&T and their LTE bands are also not compatible. Nothing that you said was wrong but the implication from the other posts might make people think you can use the Verizon GT7.7 in ways that you can't or that the two different networks were compatible in some way.

I know it does. But that's neither here nor there; we're talking about two completely different devices here. The iPad has qualcomm's Gobi chipset, which was designed from ground up to work on multiple networks with completely different technologies. The VZW 7.7 doesn't even use a Qualcomm chipset at all afaik.

The article also states that it's a separate chip. If I'm not mistaken the reason we don't have a separate chip is because it would draw more power. That's why they tend to stick to whatever Modem the SOC supports. If the SOC doesn't support the modem, there is more power going to driving a modem AND SOC. We won't see it here anytime soon since Carriers have been adverse to have the separate chips in the devices.

Most likely won't work in the US. LTE in different countries/carriers run on different frequencies. The problem is that, is no longer would a Quad-Band phone give you true worldwide coverage on LTE. Since each country/carrier uses a slightly different frequency, the amount of frequencies that an LTE chip would have to cover is more than they currently are able to support (plus the logistics would likely be a total nightmare.) This is currently proven by Apple's use of an LTE chip in the iPad. The chip won't give LTE outside of the US. So any LTE device you import right now (or likely within the next couple years) will NOT work on US LTE networks.

That's a pretty cool idea for this modern high-tech society and if they don't do that, then at least provide a USB port for charging.

The statement above is not correct. It should read "The chip won't work on LTE outside of North America." Remember, my American friends, you are NOT the centre of the universe. LTE speeds in Canada are the same as in the U.S. Case in point, Rogers in Canada has the identical network as AT&T in the U.S.
The rest of what you said is quite accurate.

The Skyrocket was just to introduce LTE, so there won't be a #2. Also, I'm guessing US will get quad-core LTE in the Galaxy S4. Then again, what do I know?

Canada still got it, but they canceled the US version. I don't even know why Samsung made the thing, considering how quickly the GS3 came out.

If you want to:
-Pay 200 dollars more expensive(import tax + local seller commission)
-Have a bigger size(korea version is thicker than us one) and have stupid korea restriction(sms limitation, etc...)
-Take a phone who only support Korea 4G frequency and imcompatible with all other country
You can surely go for this version. No problem!!!

Unfortunately in my area there isn't LTE or real 4G.
I was able to tweak my network settings with SKT Hidden Menu so I'm receiving the best 3G (4Mbps/500kbps) for my area.
I should have waited before buying. The Google clean S4 version would have been a better choice.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Too bad we still don't have the answer since not very many people have the Korean S4 in the US. When I get an S4 I'm planning to use it for VOIP on LTE. I've read that LTE has lower latency than HSPS+(or whatever that is) which makes VOIP phone calls acceptable in terms of lag time.

Note 3 Carrier Selection

Which carrier will you use for your Note 3? (Or are considering using)
I currently use Sprint, but I'm disappointed with their lackluster data network so I'm fairly certain I'm converting to t-mobile (with an outside chance of using AT&T, but unlikely).
I'm curious as to what the breakdown is amongst Note forum frequenters. I apologize for the lack of options for non-U.S. carriers, but that information is not of interest to me (Although the proportion of international users is useful, I suppose) I'm a statistician by trade, so the purpose of this poll is to satisfy my (and others') curiosity.
If I get a Note 3 it will probably be a tmobile one because of the unlocked bootloader. I'll use it on ATT. The tmobile S4 works on ATT without a problem.
"technically"
AT&T for me, but, it will be via straight talk, now that they are going to start doing LTE. I was thinking
about AIO, but now that ST is on LTE, I'll probably stay with it.
i don't use much data a month, less than 2 gig. Most of my data is wi-fi anyway. Been happy with
ST, so I don't see any reason now to switch.

I went with Sprint ~2 years ago out of principle (the only carrier I could get unlimited data with) but their network has been so slow for me I can't take advantage of the service. I can get discounts for both t-mobile and AT&T, but I feel like t-mobile offers a stronger value over the next two years for my usage. Depending on how aggressive the throttling is with ST's LTE network and how reliable the service is I'd definitely consider giving them a go, too.
Verizon for me.
I've still got their true unlimited and I'll be damned if I'm giving that up.

Unlocked bootloader will allow for custom roms and kernel along with custom recoveries! Root is what it sounds like it gives root access to all system files. Sim unlock releases use on other carriers. And yes at&t device will work on T-Mobile bands.

Is better the other way around... AT&T Note 3 does not support the T-Mobile 1700 band... So you are better of getting the T-Mobile version and using it on AT&T... Since it supports all T-Mobile and AT&T bands...

I'm planning to order the Note 3 from Negri Electronics to use it with AIO Wireless, but I would like the option to use it with TMobile in the future. I also want to be able to root the phone to get rid of the bloatware. I was going to get the ATT version when I started reading these posts.
For what you're saying it's better to get the TMobile version because the 1700 band. However in the product page in Negri, for the ATT version, 1700 is listed as supported:
4G Network LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 (I cannot post the links to Note 3 product pages in Negri since I'm new in the forum)
Does that means that the 1700 listed in the ATT version is not the same as the 1700 that TMobile uses? Do you still advice to get the TMobile version over the ATT version?
I'm new to all this stuff and will appreciate any help deciding.
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone got Tmobile LTE on an AT&T Note 3?

I do see that it picks up band 4, but I wasn't sure if there was anything special I had to do to it like on the note 2 to obtain LTE coverage, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
anyone? please.
Just unlocked my AT&T Note 3 too and tried a T-Mobile SIM - no LTE found either. In fact, even HSPA+ is finicky and doesn't want to come on most of the time (or any data for that matter).

Applying "fast" APN worked for me - LTE is now working.
