Ok, so previously with my S4, if we flashed a I9505 ROM onto a I337or I337M S4, all we had to do was flash our device models custom or stock kernel and the wifi and everything that was borked was then fixed. This doesn't seem to be the case here.
And now I can't figure out for the life of me how to get back wifi after flashing a 9005 ROM on my N900!
I'm sure it's something super simple, and I;ve searched for the solution, but clearly I'm looking in the wrong place.
Any assistance would be met with a "Thanks" and some karma points
Did you flash a custom firmware or a stock one?

Ok well that blows out what I thought you'd done it.
Have you tried wiping after flashing the correct ROM? The "incorrect ROM" didn't include any modern files didn't (not that I'm sure CWM will flash them on this phone however)
Strange question, but is your camera still working? Recording etc... also, in device settings, does it list the correct IMEI number?

Yup, camera works with stock kernel that the rom came with, imei is fine.
Just can't figure out which files to flash to get wifi and other radios working

Did you try a factory reset? After backing up of course...
Might work....

I've been searching for the stock kernal for at&t users for s bit now, can't find it I'm trying to fix the annoying "updating camera firmware, please wait..." message. Unless there's a better way, I'll just assume you have to flash the sock kernal to update it. But if you flash the sock Kernal, wouldn't the phone fail on boot?

No, I'm running Wanamlite v1.0.
I just reinstalled the stock AT&T rom to allow the camera to update, but when I ran the camera, no update appeared. So I figured it was all set. After re-rooting, I re-installed Wanamlite and KT kernal, open up the camera, and sure enough the message re-appears. I didn't perform any wipes. But it looks like I'll have to because all the AT&T bloatware was re-installed again.

Your mistake was reinstalling Wanamlite again. Here's how you install non AT&T ROMs
1. Root your phone. I used the one click TWRP and Loki method.
2. Factory Reset and install custom ROM.
3. Install AT&T kernel. Let it boot up. Open Camera.
4. Reboot to recovery. Install custom kernel. Wipe cache and Dalvik. Fix Permissions.
5. Reboot. All done.

Thanks, you're right about my mistake lol I ended up just installing someone else's ROM and it works perfectly. I'm a bit lost reading your instructions, It was my understanding that custom ROM's would not load with stock kernel?

Exactly, its nice he can recommend installing a stock kernel, but they are not to be found. I asked in another thread and didn't get an answer. I somehow got it to work just wiping and installing Omega 5.0 Then to get wifi to work I installed ktoonez kernel.

okay, assuming you're using the AT&T variant, I did this:
I got the looping "installing camera firmware" and tried faux an ktoonsez with no luck
I flashed this tmobile stock kernel and the camera firmware updated successfully by going into the camera app.
I then just flashed faux kernel back and everything worked great.

I use shabbypenguin's auto loki CWM recovery, but you'll have to definitely flash the loki patch after the tmo kernel to make this work.

Here's the problem: Every ROM I flash, except for one, Data does NOT work.
I flashed probably 7 AOSP ROMs today, not a single one my data worked..
I flashed TriForce Rom, it's a touchwiz ROM, 3g works perfect!
I decided to odin back to stock, No-Root, and my Data isnt working.. my phone isn't even rooted...
What's going on, any help? I am on sprint. My phone is currently not rooted, and data still doesn't work.

Sounds like you lost your radio one way or another, if baseband/software version is unknown you need to flash the modem, MJA 4.3 if that's what you are on, also if you are using twrp or anything else I would highly recommend using Philz latest recovery, with Philz recovery prior to making a back up you need to change Nandroid settings, specifically making sure the selinux 4.3 box is checked. One more thing you need to do the modem flash while on a TW ROM. I guess now a few questions, what are you on now 4.2.2 or 4.3, did you ota yet? And what recovery are you using

Hey I really appreciate you reaching out to me, I'm apologize, I'm such a noob with all of this and your reply seems very helpful.. but I'm not really familiar with most of that.
I'm unrooted right now, should I root, and then what should be my next step?
I recently flashed the temasek and official CM11 roms, but the baseband has been unknown since.
So I had flash back to the original rom that I was using, my QUESTION is that I like cm11 alot, so how can i fix this problem?
Which Note model? -- N9005 or N9005 variant? -
T/w8 ?
Which recovery do you use?

It is actually N9006 but temasek's v45 for n9005 and earlier worked fine, I am using CWM rec.
Until recently, temasek's v46 and 47, the baseband becomes unknown
Last time a user had that issue, he fixed it by flashing stock via odin and then CM but he was using a n9005 so I am not sure if that will work for you as well...However no harm in trying.

I'm sorry but I speak poor English. What is a Stock? I've tried flashing kernel and baseband but it did not work.
When I use Temasek's v45, it shows that my baseband is ML1, but when I use further version, it becomes unknown.

ok i see, i tought it was sth like baseband or kernel or sth else.
I just flashed a n9006 rom made by chinese romers to get my note mp4 into a note3, or i could just use temasek's v45.
I just wanna use the latest cm11 rom but it seems that it's not quite possible for now, so i'll just stick to my original rom...

it worked for me though
It also worked for me although sadly I could not use my backup again after flashing back to cyanogenemod so its time to start downloading. At least my phone is fully functional now, even if I lost a bit of data.
I had the same issue move than once, i would lose imei number etc.
Found out that it wasn't prompting for pin unlock on boot.
Since removing this I've had no problems
Yea it also wasn't prompting for ping with mine.
Though starting again fresh does work, I am currently again on the latest nightlies. however if this happens again I will probably wait for a stable release because having to reinstall everything is not really desirable.

I dont understand what you mean. You are mixing btw bootloader and recovery. I recommend u flash TWRP (coz you are using android 4.2.2 and you dont have KNOX) for flash CUSTOM ROMS in the future if your wish :highfive:

You are confused between bootloader and recovery.
Twrp is a custom recovery and you don't really need to go back to stock.

yes i tried latest kitkat baseband but it didnt work
You can see the rom/kernel name in about settings but so far as i know you probably have to reflash an kernel/rom to fix the sensors or you need to locate the sensor files from the g2 rom you're using and make an flashable zip from it.
same problem, how can i fix it,please help me
Can you guys to do a clean flash and flash KK modem first and then the rom?
Have you tried backing up your current rom, restoring stock rom backup, and restoring the custom rom again? Works for me every time.
