Difference of the D variants for the LG G2? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone please explain all the common variants for the LG G2? I've been searching a bit and have an idea but I'm not entirely sure. Apologies if this was asked already but I cannot find a plausible answer after 10 minutes of searching What is the difference between the D800, D801 D802, D803? etc? Which one is the international version? The D802 right? Which one is the D803? Thank you

It depends on the country and the carrier.
Like the variants in the US just because it comes from different providers.
All the versions are almost similar, expect some of them are locked to be used only by one service provider (att t, verizon,...)
The international version 802, can be use everywhere.
I'm not 100% sure about it since I haven't read anywhere the exact differences, but that's how I feel after reading the different forums.

Try this table:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LG_G2#Model_variants
Sums it up nicely.

[Q] What "PC" model of DZ do you have ?

Just received my DZ (woo-hoo ! ).
On my phone (European model), looking under the battery cover, it seems to have a model designation of "PC10110". Based on my previous HTC phone (TP2) I am pretty sure this will be a model designation which is different on the G2, and I'm wondering whether it's also different for NAM DZs and also Asian DZs.
Anyone else got anything different ?
Nam dz = pc10120
Cool, this does help show us the differences then, that's what I was hoping. So when someone has a problem we can always use this to double-check exactly which model of DZ/G2 they have.
Anyone with an Asian DZ who can check this ? I've posted this on the G2 forums too, hopefully someone will tell us what the G2 says.

Hmm, that's not what I was expecting lol. Thanks though !
Nordic version is also PC10110

AT&T & T-Mobile models the same?

AFAIK, the only thing different in the radios is the lack of HSPA+ support in AWS on the AT&T model.
Does this mean the AT&T model can be flashed with the T-Mobile modem and have use of all the bands? After all, the AWS antenna is there for LTE. Similar situation with the iPhone 5 (except AFAIK, Apple is not going back to enable HSPA on AWS for the older AT&T models).
Food for thought.
There are several threads for this already.

You could have at least said yes or no instead of using more words and being a **** about it. Some of us would like that information in passing instead of having to hunt around. I'm not that curious, but you're still a ****.
Haha. True I would like to know too but not that curious to go out my way to find out.

Lazy and feeling that you are above the forum rules?
I let the OP know that the issue has already been discussed so he /she could use the search function to find the information they requested. There is way more information in those threads that already exist than I could ever put here. How is that being a ****?
If you are not interested in "hunting around" for answers and just want them handed to you on a platter, I suggest you sell your phone immediately. Good day.
we all are in trouble if this continues. you will find as soon as we are able to get busy later..that these type posts will go untouched. then you will have no choice but to hit the search button.

As far as flashing an AT&T ROM with a T-Mobile radio or flashing a T-Mobile ROM with an AT&T radio, no one yet knows because the AT&T bootloader is still locked. It has been possible to do so on other models of Galaxy phones, but the Devs need to take a look at it to make sure the rils and other settings match up.
Thanks. The idea is to buy the AT&T exclusive 64GB SGS4, get all bands working (using T-Mobile radio), and flash the Google Dev Edition ROM for a clean Android experience.
That would be my ideal phone, really.

[Q] Sprint - Model Help??

Hi XDA Forums!
I'm a bit new to the Android community (and to XDA forums!) I wanted to try and install the Google Edition ROM for my device, but I'm a bit confused on the model number.
I went online and searched for about 20-25 minutes. I went to settings > About device > Model number. It says "SPH-L720". I know that is Sprint's model number, but is that any different than the i9505 or the i9500?
I even went on Wikipedia and compared the models (XDA won't let me post links, but I'm sure you can find it!)
I saw that my device met the requirements of the i9505, but I wanted to post here just to be safe.
Thanks a lot!

Different. Because of the carrier (Sprint) there will be some differences between model numbers such as CDMA vs. GSM, radios, etc. Some of the roms for international version might flash and work fine however you may risk losing things like signal, wifi, etc. If you want to try one check the thread to see if anyone else with a Sprint version has had success and above all else make a full backup before flashing just in case. If you don't want to meddle and be on the safe side then just stick with roms listed in the Sprint S4 dev sections.
Is this what you want? It is a little unstable right now just a warning. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43120823

If you're new to android and xda, you shouldn't be haphazardly flashing testing builds. Take more time to learn and read a lot. You're going into that thin ice territory of stuff that isn't stable and made specifically for your model phone. You're going to end up bricking your phone or getting yourself into a jam that you don't know how to get out of.

Thanks, but there's no way I'm flashing into a new ROM without knowing all the details. I'm not going to dive in there, Haha. I've been reading the forums a lot for the past few days. I won't flash until I know the room works 100%! And yeah, I've been reading a lot. Looks like there's a lot of back up stuff to do!
But I just wanted to clear up the difference between i9505 and SPH-L720: The ROMs meant for i9505 won't work on SPH-L720?

Different processors. Quad Core Qualcomm is in the U.S. models and the international models have the Octacore Exynos chip.

It is safest to stick with roms that were designed for the 720. I don't know the model you're speaking of, I'm assuming it's a gsm based phone. IMO, they are for different networks and different technologies. These people who are trying to shoehorn gsm, Verizon or international roms, are trying to port stuff over and fix, or try to, issues. Yes, since might get them to work but they won't work 100% flawless. I'm not saying they aren't smart, I'm saying that the stuff they are working on is very experimental and should not be deemed safe and reliable as a daily driver rom.

I don't know about this phone but on the S3 flashing any international ROM was a instant brick and many many people did it. So I highly suggest not flashing anything that is not clearly approved by the developer.

where is 901F section?

I assume g900f roms wont work on the 901F? but I cannot find a 901F section, am I screwed for custom samsung based rom support?
I wanted to use neatrom in particular.
My fear is I wont even have any kernels to choose from.
The 900f is really hard to get hold of here as its now considered obsolete.

Absolutely Not, now in europe (France / germany / UK ...) only 901F is sold (because it got 4G+ and they start to do 4G+ in europe, at tv they do the pub for the '' 4G+'')
I already asked in the ''*** New Device Forum Requests ***'' But i don't know if XDA read it ...
901F got various threads now and it would be more easy for us if we have a section for us ...
there is a ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-simplegx-rom-v1-0-0-t2971815

My point was compared to the global version theres not a lot, 901f vs 900f
theres clearly more 900f users. maybe xda doesnt see the small amount of 901f users enough for adding a forum but i could be wrong, but also just because theres threads doesnt mean its in high enough demand

Did XDA wait for lots of users before adding 900F section's, I see posts in 900F section before 900F even in shops. So your point seems invalid.

no because the 900f was the global gsm model. and a flagship so it automatically got a forum. the verizon and at&t didnt even arrive then.

Why not ask for a common thread with the SM-G906 S5 models which are also using a snapdragon 805 ?
And I confirm that here in France, SM-G901F is what is most sell over the SM-G900F...

just saying you can confirm, doesnt confirm anything, you need sources to confirm.
listen my answers arent to the question "why will we never get a section" its a reply to the question "where is the section"
the suggestions i have put forwards arent untrue the 900f is the bigger smartphone, that maybe why the 901f doesnt have a section.
tl:dr if you dont like hearing answers you dont like maybe you shouldn't ask questions in a forum where you'll be answered honestly
In Europe 901F is sold, so the number will increase more and more, due to the 4g+ deployment by operators. Why pissing on European like that ? ... not cool ...

[Q] Difference in N910F models

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there's a significant difference between the SM-N910FZKEDBT and the SM-N910FZWEDBT? I know they are both Snapdragon but I dont know if they have a difference in bands. They are both N910F but there is a 1 letter difference.
There is also another one, SM-N910FZKEXEH
I would like to know because I'm in the process of buying one
Thanks in advance!!
The one letter difference is only indicative to which country the device is being sold in. Otherwise, expect the model and available bands to be the same, as well as new Stock ROM availability. When a Software Update is posted over the air, it will apply to all "F" models, however, that single letter difference will determine the software update's language and country preferences the device pertains to.

Thank you very much for the info! So basically any N910f rom can be flashed on those versions regardless where the phone is sold, right?
That's correct, they share the same internal hardware with the only difference being software (different country region).
