Hello guys,
I recently flashed Wanamlite 3.0 and I wish to flash stock 4.2.2 .
what should I do to get it to work properly again? Doing that because I need to send the device to the lab. I want my phone as I bought it in the first day- unrooted.
thank you all.

Hi,
You should be fine to flash 4.2.2 , if the ROM you are on does not contain the knox bootloader.

What about the wanamlite 3.0 ? Does it contain the knox bootloader? I deleted al knox apps from System/apps with root file manager.

As long as your device did not come with bootloader, you can't have it unless you flashed official samsung firmware

If you do not have knox try to revert back to stock.. by downloading stock firmware at SAMobile.com for your handset and country without knox.. and flash via odin..but make sure to reset flash counter first to make it official.. then after send it to the lab..

Hello all
Last week I flashed my GT-I9505 a CyanogenMod 10.2 and thus voided my warranty (Knox is 0x1).
Now I regret doing it and I wanna badly go back to stock rom and receive Kies and OTA updates from Samsung and so on.
Is there a way to come back to stock rom 4.3 after I tripped the Knox flag and receive updates?
I heard that when you try to flash stock rom after Knox is 0x1 you gonna brick your device.
Please help.
Thanks in advance
Nothing to worry dear you can go back to stock and you will get OTA also and if done properly unroot you will not brick device

Thanks for the quick reply.
I do worry a lot because this device cost me a lot.
What are the steps to unroot safely and goto 4.3 with OTA and KIES updates?
Just as I would do if I were on stock? Put the file in PDA and all the normal steps?
Or do I need to do something extra now?
As you have downloaded cf autoroot now you have to download stock file of your area or location.go to setting see the built version download it from Sammobile site your area built then flash via odin putting that in pda and start odin

I thought having the Knox meaning I can't get back to stock and not receive updates.

knox is so they can see when you send your device in that the warrenty is void.
other than that knox does not bother you (apart from downgrading baseband)

Good, thanks.
Now I wanted to ask you one more question.
As you know, there are roms which do not include Knox in their bootloader. Examples of these are Phoenix and Arrow roms.
What I wanted to ask is if I decide to install one of these roms which does not include Knox, will it delete the Knox out of my bootloader? And on the next time I will install stock rom 4.3 it will show Knox 0x0 as if it were never there?
Thanks
One vital step has been missed if you want to receive OTA: You must reset flash counter using Triangle Away app.

Will installing one of the roms which does not include Knox will remove the Knox out of my bootloader and on the next time I would install stock rom it will be 0x0?

There are a few unconfirmed reports of people resetting knox, but until its proven i doubt it...
From what is said its impossible to remove, maybe at some point someone will get it cracked, but knox is still new.

I finally downgrade my S4 I9500 from stock 4.4.2 to stock 4.2.2 just follow this:
1. download galaxy s4 i9500 south africa rom 4.2.2 from Sammolbile (I9500XXUBMH1) to be specific).
2. use odin 3.09 to flash it.
3. enter in reconery mode and make a factory reset and Done.
*the only thing is that it stays custom but that doesnt matter you can flash another official rom later.

I was using Omega 19 till yesterday. Today i went mad and was switching b/w different ROMS. here is the story:
Installed AICP ROM 4.4.2, i didn't liked the ROM very much so i went back to old MIUI rom (miuiandroid_multi_ja3g_4.1.3_jb-4.2). Then just for a check, i copied I9500_Omega_v14.1_UBUBMH1 and flashed. Yep It did work. Here is the screenshot.

I rooted my phone then....added (flashed) the 4.2.2 modem to it. Then flashed the 4.2.2 firmware. You will have to extract the modem from the firmware. Just add the extension .rar to the firmware name ( rename it) eg. 'Tar.md5.rar' and extract modem.bin. use odin to flash it to your phone. Use PDA OPTION TO FLASH MODEM FILE. Then flash your 4.2.2 firmware. Factory reset and wipe cash before phone starts up. However.....no sound...no wifi. ..have to find a work around this. Will let you all know when I figure it out.....Contact me at [email protected].
Flash the modem again and you should have your issue resolved. Sometimes the flash doesn't fully take, and it might have something to do with the S4 storing a backup of the modem.
Hi XDAers,
I just have an i9505 carrier locked with Globe telecoms (Phil). I rooted via ODIN and Clockwork 6.0.4.7 via ODIN as well. I was impatient and I later realized that this KNOX thing is 0x1 on my phone. Does this Knox tripped thing do anything with messing up with my future use of custom roms? I am on 4.2.2 with baseband ver i9505xxubmg5. I want to use custom ROMS with 4.4.2 like Arrow ROM or the likes. I am actually lost here. I dont know whether this KNOX will mess up the functionality of my phone. How do I proceed in installing custom ROMS? Since I am rooted and have clockwork installed should I justt go ahead and download custom zipped ROMS and install? I used to have i9000 Galaxy S, and I was using custom all the way and now that I got my phone replaced with this i9505.. I think I cant live with a stocked based ROM. What are the disadvantages of having KNOX 0x1? Will I not be able to use custom roms without problems?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it has KNOX. I just got the phone last week. As I already done rooting it.. checking it on SuperSU it said do I wish to disable KNOX? then I pressed yes... some way or the other the carrier may have had knox preinstalled or something... or maybe I am totally lost what KNOX is... what I am afraid of, maybe if it has KNOX, I do hope it doesnt affect performance and phone capabilities in any way.
One thing, if I proceed to install new ROM, will I just download zip file, den go to recovery then install it? is it just that simple like the old days?

Ok,
when i set everything together:
4.4.2 is the first version that contains KNOX?
When flashed a 4.4.2 stock you cant go back to previous builds off stock?
So, when i am on XE2 4.2.2, i can actually flash I9505XXUEMKF 4.3 because it doenst contain KNOX?
I reverted back to stock after flash lot of custom but my usb connnector is giving load and data issue..
So i have to go back to sammy for warrenty.
Or is it wish not to flash anything anymore before repair...

Yes. I read about downgrade not possible. Would you suggest I stick with 4.2.2? But there are stable versions of 4.3 and above. I dont want ending up with a headache because I went to a custom ROM 4.3 and <. By the way, the link you just sent a while ago.. the arrow rom.. do I only need to download the zip file and install it via recovery with my current 4.2.2 stock? simple as that or do I need to go to a newer ROM and then flash it with that arrow rom?

By the way, the link you just sent a while ago.. the arrow rom.. do I only need to download the zip file and install it via recovery with my current 4.2.2 stock? simple as that or do I need to go to a newer ROM and then flash it with that arrow rom?

And I think sticking toh 4.2.2 is nt a thing bt flashing 4.4.2 stock rom is risky bt mostly custom roms are based stable versions only

I have CWM. I was trying a while ago to install arrow rom for my i9505.. I got system 7 error, installation aborted. Does the arrow rom intended only for i9500 and not i9505?
That rom Is for i9505 bt this is sure that u cant flash that zip file from odin

Try to switch of your phone and boot to download mode.(press vol down+home+power button and after that vol up to continue)
see you knox status 0x0 or 0x1. You said its been modified means you knox is 0x1-warranty void.
It is useless to flash stock rom when your knox is 0x1, it will stay like that until a developers can figure it out.
Alternative way is to install wanam exposed, it can set your phone from custom to official.
By the way, are you buying new phone or used phone? if it new its weird coz been rooted.
Did you buy it in a store? We`re the seals intact or broken when you got it, maybe they gave you a refurbished one that still had root? As said above you`re warranty is gone anyway so flash away bro
Nope I didnt buy from official store. and knox status is 0x1. Im not worried about the warranty because I have 2 years from the place where i bought it.. They have to deal with the place they have bought it to resell. I just want to flash this device and remove the root.. how can i do that? Thanks
Just flash a stock ROM... Make sure to do a complete wipe..

Hello everybody
This is my first thread here in XDA
I've installed 5.0 Lollipop Beta in my N9005 and it works snappy and fast. I've used this build for 3 or 4 complete cycles of battery and it really works very well. Now i've decided to install TWRP an SuperSU to delete some bloatware and in download mode I can see a new number in my Knox 0x1 counter (see pictures attached).
Anybody can explain to me what does it mean? Really it doesn't matter so much to me cause I've tripped my Knox from day one but I didn't know about this kind of counter
Any thoughts?
(sorry for my english)
Nothing on hard or software. Because you flashed a custom recovery you got 0x1 knox. You no longer have warrenty on your device....

Ok I can confirm if you flash a 4 archives KK rom using Odin you "revert" to Knox 0x1
I got the 5.0 TW flashed with odin, used pit and updated bootloader.. I still have 0x1
New flash counter i guess someone alert @Chainfire
I think it's the old "Custom Binary Download" counter that first appeared in the Galaxy S2 (if I'm not wrong). Someone should try Triangle Away to reset that counter. However, 0x1 will still remain active .
Edit: This is what I'm talking about.

This counter only gets started when you try to root or install recovery with Lollipop bootloader.

I think this is not that kind of counter my friend. I've try to reset it with latest version of Triangle Away and it have broke my system. The only solution is to install and comebak to 4.4.2 again. Please don't try that until @Chainfire gets an answer.

Please answer this simple question:
In any moment did you installed Lollipop's bootloader?
Did you install the rom with .pit in Odin?
