[Q] Email subject line Truncated - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Issue: When I open an email with the default email client, if the subject line is long, I cannot see the complete subject line.
For example: if the subject line is "This is a message sent on August 15, 2013 for your request number 3334993992992", the email client displays it as "This is a message sent on August 15, 2013 for your request number 33...." . I cannot tap on it or tap and hold to see the complete subject line.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Please help!!!
PS: I upgraded to Android 4.3, issue still persists.

anyone having texting issues?

So i'm having a problem with texting on the g1.
1) receive a text from someone not on your contact list.
2) add user to contact list
3) reply to text message
4) text message thread name shows as someone else
5) text goes to first person on contact list
6) delete text thread
7) compose new text, (select that new person)
8) text goes to new person
9) text thread shows as the same person from as person in #4
10) person from #8 replies and you receive it just fine.
11) reply to that text, but it goes to first person on your contact list. You don't even have to reply, when you open the text thread, the top left name shows a different name.
I have 2 contacts on my list that is linked all funky.
I have tried deleting the contact from gmail and adding them again, but I still get the issue with them.
oh if you leave the retarded thread sms there (that is displaying the wrong name) and compose a new text to the original person #8. it sends an email to #8 (that #8 cannot reply to) but shows up in your text inbox with "(no subject)" as the message preview
i know you probably sound crazy but i've had that exact same problem but good job on the description

i'm glad i'm not the only one. LOL
factory reset fixes the issue with that user's contact, but now I have to reinstall everything.
I had a similar issue where I had an email via mms sent to my phone monthly. Like, [email protected]
Once that came in - any sms I received (when I hadn't started the thread) would say it was from that email. When I tried to reply it would go to the first person in my contact list (Aaron for example) rather than the [email protected] or the original sending party.
Only way to fix it (and this is TMo's advice too since it's now a known issue) is to not get the email anymore and do a factory reset. (Haven't had the problem since then, but will be nice when it is fixed.)
Yeah, I've had this problem as well. Bloody annoying.

[Q] sms problem

just got a milestone 2, im trying to reply to an sms and it says "a valid address is required to send this message" if i select the contact and start a fresh thread it will send fine, when they reply the box where i type a new message is greyed out and says the above. is it something obvious ive missed? the number must be fine because i sent them a message in the first place lol.

[Q] Exchange email issue with disappearing recipients when replying

Before I factory reset my phone, I thought I'd search this forum to see if my problem is a known issue but didn't get any results from my searches.
My problem:
When I reply to an email in my job's Exchange account using the native email client, I cannot add any additional recipients and the existing recipients disappear when I try. They also disappear even if I don't try to edit the existing recipients when I hit send. The end result is that the message won't go out because there are no recipients. When I start typing in the To: or CC: fields, the letters I type appear in the keyboard's suggested words list, but don't show up in the TO: or CC: fields.
Workaround:
I already recreated the account, tried different keyboards, but the only thing that seems to work is leveraging the drafts folder. After I hit reply or reply all the first thing I must do is save the message as a draft. Then, I can open it from the drafts folder where I can then send the message successfully with or without editing the recipients.
I don't recall this always being a problem. I've had the phone since day one. I first noticed the problem a few weeks before the KitKat update. I had hoped the KitKat update would have fixed it, but it did not.
Is anyone else experiencing this or know what could be causing it?
Thanks for your time
Same Issue!!
Have you figured it out yet? I'm going crazy trying to...

It turned out to be our Mobile Device Management solution at work. It was pushing down a security profile to my phone. Although the profile itself never changed, the vendor did updated the software around the time my problem started. We tried recreating the profile from scratch, suspecting it somehow became corrupted. This fixed my problem.
Is the MDM solution Airwatch? Does your email address have apostrophe in it? Thanks for responding!

Oneplus 2-----How to remove/disable international prefix +61

Hi everyone,
recently I change my phone to OP2. Everytime I sent an sms to a friend, but when I received the replied is shows under a new message and I have noticed the message I sent using didn't have the international prefix but the replied message has the prefix
PS: I live in Australia, so the prefix is +61, my phone is on latest firmware oxygent OS 2.1.2
eg:
The phone number I sent message to is 0416123456
The message I received back from that same number is showing as +61416123456
therefore I have one dialog box showing my original message and another dialog box showing the replied message.
Just wondering is there an option that I can disable the +61 prefix???? Thanks!!!

Mail for Exchange client intermittent bug after latest update

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you encountered this annoying intermittent bug after the latest update (I'm running Android 6.0.1 build MMB29K.G935FXXS1BPJ1): when composing a new email or replying to using the stock Samsung "e-mail" application, if you use any hyphen or quotation marks for example ' or " before any letter, this letter will automatically be replaced by the same hyphen or quotation mark. Disabling any automatic correction or the likes doesn't change the behavior. It happens ONLY in this email client and intermittently. To avoid this you have to insert a space between the hyphen or quotation mark and the letter. For example if I were to type " it's there " I would get " it'' there " - the s would be replaced by another hyphen. This is rather a specific Samsung e-mail client related bug apparently (I don't encounter it in any other email or text app I use) so I was wondering if any of you had encountered this. Sometimes by closing all the open apps it fixes the issue, but not always - it seems to also depend on the prior received emails.
