Hello everyone!
Today morning I suddenly saw some bulbs on my screen!
I was so confused because I don't have a protecting label on my screen!
then I started touching it and realized that its not on the surface and actually is beneath the glass!
Any ideas on were did they come from?! and how can I make them disappeared?!
Is there any kind of label underneath the glass?!
Any help is more than appreciated!
Looks like it could be adhesive bubbling up under the glass.
You can't fix it unless you replace the screen.
I would take it back for a replacement
Sent from my GT-I9505
Thx buddy!
But in my region there is no replacement policy!!
Is there any other way out of this trouble?!
What could cause this adhesive bubble up?
I noticed the same issue about one week after I bought my phone.
But on my device, the bubbles appear and disappear without a trace. I couldn't establish a pattern or a reason.
The bubbles appear about two times per day, stay for about 10 minutes then they go away. I tracked this for two days by now.
How can I prove this to the service unit?
See the attached picture.

Why not take photos like the one you have attached
To prove its your own mobile, place a ID card (and your face LOL) together with your mobile when you take the picture :silly:
Good idea with the ID card, thanks!
I forgot to say I removed the screen protector and the bubbles are still there, unchanged. It's something wrong with the samsung amoled + gorilla glass combo.

Today it expanded, it attacked the whole corner.

I guess you already tried hard reset?.
Can you get to bootloader mode?.
Tried hard resets, and getting to bootloader mode, i think this is a malfunction with the actual device, I just need to find out how to get in touch with o2 support internationally, i was wondering if someone on here may have had this problem too.
Thanks.
white screen - connector loose?
I too have this problem - but if I twist the screen away from the keyboard I get the display back. I suspect there's a connector loose inside but haven't looked inside.
Anyone on the forum any experience of getting inside and reseating connectors?

Hello there,
I had to get inside my xda to replace the screen that one of my dear rug rats broke. it is quite easy to do, and you only need to get into the screen side of it to get at the conectors. spin the screen half way round and look at the bottom and you will see 6 small screws. take out the two furthest out and two in the middle nearest the screen side. if you take them all out the whole thing becomes hard to handle. the front cover should GENTLY leaver off, and the cables to it exposed. even if they look in place lift the catch holding them in place and take them out and wipe the contacts with a cloth. just be very carefull with the cable strips as they tear very easy. . any problems then PM me

Hi folks. I have damaged my topaz but I'm not sure if it's the digitiser or the lcd screen, so I'll describe what happens:
The touch screen will stop responding after I've been using it and if I turn off the screen I can see a small dark patch (where my finger last touched it) with some small tiny 'bumps' surrounding this dark area. If I gently rub the screen with a soft cloth or similar, this dark area disappears and the touch screen starts responding again. However, I am having to do this procedure a lot - I mean like every 10 or 20 seconds if I'm touching the screen a lot or dragging stuff around - heck, it's a 'touch' phone, I can't help but touch it !!!
A new screen is a lot more than a new digitiser, and I figured that since the digitiser sits on top (right ) then it may be this that is u/s ?
Any help, comments or diagnostic clues are much appreciated.
Cheers, peace
Chris
umm, can it be water between the screen and touch sensor layer? Have you brought the phone to highly humid places, or something like that?
Some photos will definitely help identifying the problem.
Sounds like this:

I had it, and my provider repaired it. Unfortunaly I have the problems again... but not that much. When its getting too extreme, I'll send it back once again
^ I'd say that's it, I did find another post with a photo of something similar too.
I think mine happened when my wee girl got a hold of the phone -
I'm still a little unsure as to what component is damaged tho. Maybe a little 'investigation' with a screwdriver is needed ...
Thanks for the replies so far
Peace
Using a screewdriver will defenetly kill your guarantee. Mine was repaired for 0€$ ... I would try this first, as you can still offer it back when they say u have to pay few 100€$.
hey guys, i had my 1 1/2 weeks old HD2 in my pocket and on pulling it out of there it showed some kind of imprint in the mid of the screen.
seems as if there was pressure on the glass in the middle of the screen which now somehow fused with display
the display still works, but one can see a dark spot in the middle of the screen, pretty as long as a pinky finger.
does anyone know how to fix that? or should i simply ask for replacement?
thanks in advance, photos will follow as soon as i find something to take pictures.
I had the samething. Really strange, when I spoke to HTC they said that I should send it in to repair. However you should go back to the store and get a replacement esp since you've only had it for a week and a half.
However if your with Vodafone you may have quite a wait for a replacement.
Hut go back to the store to get a exchange, they should do that as you can get a replacement phone for the first 28 days.
Hope that helps
By the way just took a look at your picture and it is almost a carbon copy of what happened to mine.
I had this happen to my old orbit, with its resitive screen and no hard plastic over the screen, but it used to disappear after a few hours, is yours permenant?
I've noticed a defect on my screen, it looks like a watermark, as if the glass hasn't been coated correctly.
I took the phone back to the shop today and swapped it for another which has the same issue (although not so severe). It's most noticable when the screen is off in bright light.
I'm waiting for new stock to arrive Friday but in the meantime has anyone else noticed this problem?
Nope. Everything fine here. (Or at least I can't find anything )
Ah great, I was thinking it was just me.
I can see it in mine too, around the borders of the glass and especially around the windows button. It mostly shows up when there's fingerprints on the glass, you can see a distinct lighting change around the affected areas.
I'll try to get a picture of it.
Ah ok, found it.
But I don't think that this is a defect or sth.,
My guess: These areas lipophobic? Maybe there was some glue on it? Some you won't see any fingerpints on these areas. This would eplain why you can't see them when there are no fingerprints on the screen.
No big deal for me tough.
I don't think it's glue. It looks like a screen coating.
I've tried removing it with both isopropyl alcohol and thinners and neither would touch it.
I thought it was a plastic cover to peel off - but no
Me too, I thought it was a plastic cover to peel off - but no it does not peel off, i have air gaps under the edges on 3 sides - and the largest is under the htc screen logo :-(
Me too - one long finger top left and some other places bottom and side
pretty sure its some sort of glue residue - you can feel a slight change in resistance
can see it easily by blowing on glass - seems to resist condensation
looks just like screen has been given a quick wipe to clean and they've missed a couple of bits top and bottom.
tried screen wipes and opitcal wipes but no effect
Me too
Recieved mine yesterday, immediately noticed the effect. All along the bottom by the buttons, and along the the left hand side.
Looks like 2 layers didn't completely bond perhaps? The glass and whatever provides the black background.

me as well, ill upload a video of mine in half an hour, its pretty bad on mine, most of the time it isn't visible. and yeah resistance on that area is different when i rub my thumb hard over the screen it is smooth, but over those droplet like parts there is friction..im guessing that most of my screen is coated and those bits are mistakenly not.
(i thought it was the other way round before)
VIDEO OF SCREEN DEFECT-VIMEO
Same issue here - like an air bubble just beneath the surface of display. My device is slightly affected across the top edge, which is not so bad, but there is a large blob just below the windows key along the bottom edge which is a little distracting. Shame it looks like HTC shipped with such a widespread product defect, as this appears it could be.
Am also finding GPS very flaky - location services more often then not just don't work.
Still, very impressed with WP7. Think HTC could do better ... am wondering what the Samsung is like and what the Venue Pro will be like. Tempted to switch!
same issue here. seems all devices have this feature ...
ps: today in the office i checked again the screen and found out that you can find this bubbles around the screen everywhere. seems it reacts on humidity. strange ...
I've been back to the Vodafone store today as they had received new stock. Both handsets we looked at had the same issue.
The manager at the store said that HTC were going to be issuing a recall and that they were aware of the problem.
I am awaiting a call regarding an alternate replacement.
Ok for me!
same here, especially around bottom left corner, around the left arrow.
I noticed when you wipe the screen hard it disappears, but after a few touches of the screen it appears again.
I wrote to the HTC also and waiting for the reply :
same here - allaround the screen

i think everyone have this problem, specilly from vodafone. and i also have software issue, everytime after using the marketplace, and the icon of some apps were gone, and no preview of the pictures. also the apps download from marketplace not seems to be running, after long time use.....already retun the phone to vodafone, and waiting for the issue to be solved...
My screen is ok. Well, not really oké. Since they didn't put a slcd on it, but a worser screen... Luckily no bubbles. I checked it 1000s times in all kind of lights and darknesses and with and without finger prints. But no bubbles here.
Same problem !!!
I have the same Problem (Austria, A1)
HTC Trophy
Hi,
Same problem here, bottom and one in the top.
Vodafone Portugal here :-(
I bought mine 2 weeks ago. Will Vodafone give another phone?
Thank you.
Hello all, I want to first thank you guys for your support since I've joined up! I recently attempted a glass replacement on a note 3. The digitizer and lcd were ok before I removed the glass. During the removal, everything went smoothly, no cracked lcd or digitizer. It was my first attempt, so I did scratch it here an there, but they weren't too deep. They were negligible enough that they would be made invisible by the new uv-glue. So, before I fully removed all of the old glue, I turned the phone on to see if the lcd still worked and it did, however, I noticed that the touch screen was mostly unresponsive. It only worked at the top where the notifications menu is. I was able to pull it down about a quarter inch and then it would go back up as if my finger left the screen. I chocked it up to a dirty screen and possibly even the scratches I made on it. I read that those things would "confuse" the digitizer. I also read that cleaning the lcd and replacing the new glass with uv-glue would fix any digitizer touch issues, by filling in the scratches for one and by making contact with my finger more accurate. Anyway, I installed the new glass onto the lcd with the loca glue. Everything was clean as far as I could tell. After reassembling the phone I discovered that the digitizer was doing the same thing as it was when it had no glass. And now, when I turn the screen on from it being asleep, I see a blur where the unlock symbol is for a couple seconds, as if my finger was there above it. Then it goes away and the screen doesn't recognize my touch. I checked to see if my other note 3 did that when I turned the screen on and it didn't, at least not until I did put my finger there. I did a factory reset on the phone, disassembled it again and cleaned all the connections with alcohol. Everything looks like it's set up correctly. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas that aren't "the digitizer is broken" lol. I realize that may be the case, but I'm not sure what I could've done for that to happen. This will be my last attempt at finding a different answer before I trash the lcd. Thanks in advance guys!

I presume you've been checking the sites for help & youtube videos on how to do it all? Can you think of anything you might have shortcut or done differently?
The fact the defect was there before the glass replacement suggests maybe there was either prior damage that you didn't notice before trying this, or you've perhaps moved the LCD in such a way that prior damage has become apparent. i.e. there was maybe hairline damage and as you moved things the edges moved apart.
Could it be something along the lines of the glue is a bit thick at one end so the screen is now not contacting properly? How much pressure did you use putting it all back in place? Did it take a lot to get it even?
Wish I could be more helpful but, it's not something I've tried. TBH I hadn't even released AMO screens COULD be removed from the glass...
