I am having a very hard time downloading Music to my LG G2. I connect to my PC > Choose Media Sync (MTP) > goto where my music is stored and Drag & Drop. It says may not play do I want to download file and I choose Yes for all. It will download 1 file and then Stops. The phone Reconnects and I have to choose Media Sync (MTP) again. None of my Music has DRM (not downloaded from iTunes or Rhapsody). It's my own music. I am not Rooted yet but I will be. If I canm't DL Music this phone is of no use to me.
Nevermind. MODS Please Delete. I changed my USB port and it works fine

I've never used the option to make my phone a media device so I can't help you there. (I personally just transfer the music/video files directly to my storage card.) However, I can help you with your 24hr time issue ^_^ Goto Start -> Settings -> System tab -> Regional Settings -> Time tab. Once there goto the Time style dropbox and select a style that starts with one or two lowercase "h's". After you do that and hit the 'ok' button in the upper-right-hand corner, you will be back to a 12 hour clock setting. I hope this helps ^_^
i tried to play music from the desktop but i can't see any songs or any albums..
i got a message says (The music titles in the playlist no longer exist. They may have been deleted or the storage card may have been removed) ..
in spite of i have songs on the device and on the storage card.. and i can play them with the media player and other apps...
i need your help guys.. how do i fix the Sense Music player to see my Songs/Albums list again!?
thanks alot
Does this happen when your phone is connected to your computer ? If so it sounds like your hd2 id set to work as a removable storage device when its connected to your pc, where the sd card becomes unavaliable to the phone and you can only access it from tue computer to transfer files.

no i set the device on ActiveSync and the device not connected to pc.. still not working :s
Any genius here?
I have the exact same problem. The songs are located on the SD and I can play them with WMP or CorePlayer but Sense can't seem to locate them.
I didn't have this problem 2 days ago, but yesterday I copied 4 more albums to my SD card and since then Sense Music can't locate anything.
I have about 2GB of music but I doubt there's some limit. I tryied removing the SD and soft resetting the device a few times but it didn't fix the problem.
The card is in good shape and all apps installed on it work just fine.
I've had this issue on a couple of occasions. The sense player shows no files, but, of course, there are! I actually coaxed the Sense player into finding them by going to the menu tab and selected Add to Playlist. My files were THERE, but not in the actual Sense UI. I selected a song, it started to play, and then, voila, all of the files populated the Sense player again. It's odd...
not sure if I have the same problem, but when it happens to me, I just wait for ages and then they reappear. I think it just takes the Audio Manager Engine ages to re-scan your memory card after it has been connected to a pc. I often find that I can see files on the song tab before they appear on the Album or Artist tab.
this happens to me everytime i add a track or tracks, and every time i soft reset, all you have to do is go to song tab when phone is in horizintal view ( click library> slide to songs ) individual songs are there l, just play one then everything starts comeing back....
hellyeah!
Damn you're a genious!!
i've been trying for hours..
now i got my music back in sense player!
thanks!
i have a sandisk 16 gb microsd
my hd2 is in disk drive mode
i want to copy music to my hd2
this is the problem every time i try i can play 3 or 4 number from an album , the rest is unreadable or something like that
i tried mp3,wmv files
nothing helped
my card is fat32 formated
format through pc and hd2
nothing helped
try using activesync mode
settings->menu->all settings->connections->usb to pc->active sync
then go to my computer find your phone go to storage card and copy the files, perhaps this will make a difference.
The way I copy media files is by connecting via ActiveSync as jfmckenna says, then using Windows Media Player on the PC to sync my media files. This is easy if you use Windows Media Player as your main player on the PC.
After connecting your HD2 via ActiveSync, just whack up Windows Media Player and click on the 'Sync' tab near the top of the program, then just drag your music/media from the library on your computer to the 'Sync' column.
If you have files which aren't already in the library, just drag them from Windows Explorer into the library of Windows Media Player. The best bit is usually Windows Media Player will convert the file on the fly when syncing if the media file isn't compatible with your phone.
Hope this helps!!
personally i've had nothing but trouble using active sync or media player to copy music. the only way i transfer it now is by connecting in hard disk mode then drag and drop directly.
just goes to show what works for one doesn't for others.
If I download an mp3 podcast to my N7, it appears in the music player and I can listen to it just fine. Same with my HTC 1V phone. If I transfer the mp3 to my phone via Bluetooth, all is well, BUT , if I transfer the file via ftp, which is worlds faster, the music player cannot 'see' the file, so does not automatically add it to the library. The file is present in the music folder and will play if I locate it manually and select it via a file manager. Can anyone explain why the music player does not see it and how I might be able to fix this?
I ran into this recently with some of my MP3s, the problem ended up being with the files themselves. I used MP3 Diags to fix the issues with my files, and now they work perfectly.

Hi,
I was about to copy some music files from my G2 to my new laptop (Windows 7 Enterprise Edition), and disccovered that some of my music files are not viewable in PC. Please see attached for screenshots. I know that my music files are there because I just listened to them and I can see them on my phone.
I also tried going to Folder Options > View > Show Hidden Files but the music files are still not viewable in PC.
Please help me.
Regards,
Fernie

sometime usb storage isn't always up to date; usually restarting phone before plugging into pc makes it so all files are visible since I have encountered this issue before but have not found a fix(wireless storage always is up to date but does not always offer speeds as good as usb cable)
